yeah :( I just don't understand why i ordered right around 3:30 AM EST the only thing i can think of is that i updated my order from home delivery to store pick up and then to home delivery again...maybe that delayed the process. keep me updated! the guy said i should receive the tracking info tomorrow...but you never know with best buy.

Changing your order like that moved you from one pool of stock to another, then someone snagged the spot you gave up and you moved back to that pool. You shot yourself in the foot.
 
Waited about 59 minutes on hold but finally got a representative at Best Buy. They are telling me that the $100 Gift Card came directly from Corporate. This bypasses the system in place by Best Buy. The nice thing about this is that Best Buy was trying to deliver the bad news to customers before the 16th and as quickly as possible.

The bad news is the information is not correctly populating on the orders in Best Buy's system. So while it all looks rosy and that you will still receive your phone tomorrow, according to Customer Service, this is not true in 99.9999% of the cases. The rep specifically said that Corporate did not reach out the call centers or BestBuy.com team and let them know what was going on. They learned from customers calling in, who received the $100 email, and from Macrumors.

While I am not telling anyone what to do, I canceled my order. If you are using a program like AT&T Next, the Rep has to get in touch with the "back office team" to free up the line to make it upgrade eligible again. Otherwise, you can't go get a phone somewhere else without a ton of issues. This process took an additional 3 to 5 minutes but now my line is supposedly ready to upgrade again, via AT&T Next, within an hour.

Just placed an order on bestbuy.com for a black iPhone 7... I got a Verizon version and will pay for the device in full. The checkout said it'd be available for pick up tomorrow. Could this be too good to be true?

I'm currently with Verizon but plan on switching over to T-mobile immediately. From what I've read, I should be able to take this Verizon version 7 and switch to T-mobile right? Anybody know about this? I also read that the Verizon version of the iPhone 7 is compatible with all carriers (http://www.pcmag.com/news/347728/if-you-want-to-switch-carriers-buy-verizons-iphone-7). Anyway, just wanted to see if any of you guys have any experience with this stuff...

Yes. I get to keep the $100 Gift Card that is valid for 30 days. I also get to keep the $50 Gift Card that is valid for 30 days for the Apple Watch Best Buy Delayed. And finally, I get to keep the $50 Apple Watch Delay gift card, with no expiration, from Target. (If I cancel at Target)

I myself also saw the delay email with no update on Best Buy's site as the email pushed my delay to October 7th. Well at least I got the free $100 out of it. So I purchased an open box 4th gen Apple TV for $14. Thanks Best Buy lol

If mobileSafari loses my scroll position when refreshing the Best Buy order page and shows me the Apple Care progress bar making me think the iPhone order has progressed one more damn time...

Same here. Just wish customers would also realize that this situation is not BBY sales reps fault. So please don't take it out on us. This entire situation is frustrating for customers and the sales people who have to actually deal with the stuff. I felt good about tomorrow's launch but now I'm like...BRUH

So i have 3 orders, 2 for iphone 7 one black one silver both show ready for pickup, And then i have a 256 iphone 7+ silver and though the charge showed up again last night it still shows pending. Anyone think i will get the phone today or at a min a 100 gift card ??? all 3 are for in store pick up
 
I just now received the text message from Best Buy letting me know there's a delay in my order. Lol I should've cancelled it while I was on the phone with them yesterday
 
Its 2:30am pacific. No delayed email with $100 yet.. My BB order at&t 7+black still processing. Ive read few page back and people getting delayed email with $100GC, Im still hoping to wake up with a ready to pick up email/text.

I placed my preorder around 12:20am
 
Here's my update...

I ordered at 5am on preorder day and I am still showing a delivery time to my house of today. That being said, I also have received the email and I have also not received any tracking numbers or notification of shipment. Basically, my order is still right where it is at when I ordered it. There has been no movement on it other than "awaiting authorization." The order itself still says "in progress.... processing."

We will see, but I am not holding out hope for it being delivered today. I am looking forward to the free $100 to use at Best Buy if this is the case, however.
 
Just walked up to the store and one guy is camping out for....you guessed it... a 7 Plus Jet Black.... poor guy I hate giving bad news so early in the morning buy he was a good sport about it..

Do you work at BBY? i preordered a silver 7+ 256 gig what are the chances it will be ready for in store pickup today ??
