Absolutely dreading Friday. I hate phone launches. Got to work all day oh well, atleast my phone comes in that day
I'm hoping my phone will be there Friday.

Do you guys know if you get a $200 gift card for adding a new Next line to your account? I got one for my Note 5, and I saw it in checkout, but I couldn't find any mention of it.

Yeah I preordered Verizon 64gb Space Grey iPhone 6s Plus for store pick up. I check my status everyday and it never seems to move. I hope it goes to preparing soon. I was just at my local Best Buy today and was talking about how I preordered and they seemed to be clueless about it in there mobile phone department. I swear it better arrive there that day. Was able to order it 15 mins after Best Buy went live.

Having worked at Best Buy for many years, MOST of their employees are clueless to what goes on within the company. There are a select few who are actually good at their job and care, but most are there to just collect a paycheck.

I've been off the last couple of days, so I haven't seen the updated gift card promotions just yet. They update every Sunday. I really do believe the 200.00 deal is still going on tho

Wouldn't exactly say "Most" but with every company (from Walmart to Microsoft) you're bound to find some bad apples who don't give a **** about their job. Just show up to get a check and BS their way through everything.

So the people that work at Best Buy on this forum, your saying my status won't ever change. Your telling me I have to just go in and see if they have it?

Really depends on how many others ordered it to go to that same store

They'll email you. You have a pretty good chance of getting it on launch day, just so you know. Especially if you preordered early. If you did the in store pick up thing, you have like 3 days to pick up the order or it'll be canceled. Actually happened to customer at the GS6 launch

Well I should be guaranteed one if I was able to preorder it and said it will be released 25th. My says release 25th, damn Best Buy is slick not saying arriving 25th on my email.

One thing I will say, for those going to Best Buy or even Apple Stores on launch day, please just be respectful and patient. And realize that the retail workers at Best Buy and Apple have absolutely no control over inventory. It amazes me (not in a good way) how you get people who'll yell at a random worker as if they have any control over anything that goes on in the store, much less the company. iPhone launches are probably the most stressful time of the year, along with Black Friday

I would say most have no idea what goes on outside of their immediate job. IE, those who work in computers know nothing about appliances, etc. When I worked at BBY, I made an effort to know most policies and promotions that my store offered. Obviously, that is not the norm, and most people do just what they're told.

Yeah I know it's not there fault. But don't have me able to preorder a week in advance and tell me on launch day they didn't receive any or such.

There's a good chance that you'll get it on launch day. But even if you order it through Apple, you're not guaranteed to get it on launch day. I hope you get yours tho. Pretty sure you will. Now if you were guaranteed to get it on launch day and you don't get one, then yeah I'd be pissed. B/c at that point...you were lied to. My biggest thing with working at BBY (or any company for that matter) is to always be honest with a customer. I'll straight up tell you before you place any preorder that you're not 100% guaranteed a phone launch day and we have no idea what the stock is gonna look like" I'm not gonna lie. I just can't do it. I remember when the Note 4 launched and we got like 20 phones. And I was like "what the ****???" pretty much the entire day

Well I guess I'm not the norm. I pretty much know every department except cameras and car audio. I like to actually learn knew stuff tho. And absolutely hate having to depend on a manager to fix an issue, hence why I try to learn as much about the store, company and different processes as I can. I don't want to have to depend on anybody to solve an issue.

Yeah but I preordered to have it shipped there only cause most of the time my delivery people deliver my packages at end of day. It shouldn't be part of Best Buys inventory.

Those are the reasons I try to educate myself as much as possible. I'm not a manager where I work now, but I have trained past and current managers on procedures and policies. Funny how this works. lol

You should be fine bro.

Oh it's cool. If I don't receive it, oh well. My iPhone 6 Plus will do till it arrives. I'm just one of those people that must have it on launch cause I'll feel left out lol. I'm glad you guys were able to answer my questions. Really appreciate.

No problem dude. And yeah I'm looking forward to getting mine on launch day too. Had to order through Verizon tho. Not allowed to preorder through BBY lol

I'm looking for suggestions. I preordered my AT&T 64GB Space Grey iPhone and it has a Sept 24th ship date. I have since found out that my boyfriend is getting Space Grey as well and now I'm thinking I want to switch to Rose Gold. I got the new phone by upgrading my 2-year contract. The only way to get the 64gb Rose Gold on launch day is to preorder through Best Buy and pick up in store. Will they honor the 2-year contract prices? Suggestions?
