Don't forget to have them price match apple

Oh thanks, I've never ordered an iPhone from BB but I bought 2 iPhone 4's when they came out there years ago. It's only 20 mins to BB but almost 2 hours to the Apple Store.
So even if people are saying they charge $50 more, they'll still price match?
Also, I have an iPhone 5 32GB, it's in mint condition, would that qualify for the buy back program since I'm paying in full? If not I'll just sell it on Craigslist ha! I already sold the 6 Plus I'm using now but told my friend I'll give it to her as soon as I pick up my new one.

Hey guys let's chat here about our Best Buy Pre-Orders.

Question for you guys, I ordered mine on the night off release for shipping vs. in-store pickup. Like Verizon, ATT, and APPLE DTC, will they be shipping them mid-end of week to arrive at our door steps on actual release day the 25th?

Or will they ship out on the 25th and arrive early the week after? Does anyone know? I've called Best Buy and they don't have an answer. I just emailed them so maybe that will help get some more info. I will post here what I find out but anyone know?

Oh cool! So I'm going to call as soon as they open in about 10 mins and if they still have that one for pre order, I'll just pay for it now. And do you think the chances of it being available to pick up on Friday are positive?

The only option I know of is preorder and get a $50 BB gift card, you cannot pay for it entirely now. Picking it up on Friday shouldn't be a problem depending upon the carrier, color and storage size. If they let you preorder then it should be OK for a Friday pickup but no guarantee.

If they don't let me buy it outright on Friday, then I am staying with my Iphone 6.

I've only bought my phones outright from bestbuy an I preordered mine for full price

Anyone know when these will arrive if we pre-ordered for shipping direct from BB? Will they arrive at our doorsteps on 9/25 or not?

I'm a Bestbuy Mobile employee. We had a small meeting this morning about launch on Friday. My store is a larger store, and we got a good amount of preorders in. According to our District Manager we should have a good supply of the 6S units in the 16 and 64 GB configuration but not so much on the rose gold and gold. The 6S Plus is going to be a hard find according to the DM,he told us to not expect to be able to fulfil all preorders on Friday. However we will get drop shipments of iPhones through the week as our warehouse can send them. Nothing on the weekends and we CAN NOT tell a customer over the phone if we have stock in even if we do. You must come into the store to see what we have.

Quick questions to those who know. When I look for inventory for the Rose Gold I notice that some state "COMING SOON" and are greyed out, whereas some are available to pre-order (i.e. iPhone 6s Plus 64GB Verizon is "Coming Soon" and the AT&T version is available for pre-order). Are the pre-order iPhones available due to available inventory, and if so, will they shift inventory based on the orders to the correct store? Thanks in advance!

I work for Best Buy as well. I have preordered a 6S+ 64GB Gold last Friday at my store. So far my store has had about 20 preorders overall for the new phones. I'm off for the next two days, but when I go in on Thursday I work all day so I'm gonna check RSS and see what it shows we are receiving, or if we have already received it I'll see if my preorder has come in. I'd however really like to switch to a 6S+ 16 or 64 Rose Gold, so I'll see if that comes in as well. If they do I'll be the first in line at my store at 8am. If they don't come in Thursday before close, I'm driving directly after I get off work to wait all night at the Apple Store, lol.

There was an internal memo that stated that employees were NOT allowed to preorder. If you did that then I'd probably keep that to myself so that you do not get in any type of trouble

Is there a way to pre order from BB and pay in full without a contract? The BB close to me had the one I want and has the Pre Order tab but it's for contract and even if they do charge $50 more like everyone is saying, it would cost that much for gas to drive to the nearest Apple Store for me.

We are not supposed to be doing preorders for outright iPhones. People who want to pay outright have to walk in.

Yes the iPhone 5 qualifies for the Trade In Program, you will get a Gift Card

They opened preorders to employees a few days later on September 20. It was on the Rolling Hot News. You can even pick it up at 8am Friday as long as you are not clocked in.

Didn't read that one but because preorders haven't exactly been on fire this generation I'm not surprised

Thanks but how about online orders, will they arrive on 9/25

Yeah it was funny to read the news. It was something like "You've asked for it, here it is!" Aka "please help us meet our goal" Best Buy has a goal to meet for preorders I'm sure.

Bestbuy.com Shipping and preordering for store pick up are separate inventory. So there is really no way those of us who work in stores can really say if you will get your phone if you ordered through BB.Com for home shipping.

This is what shows for me if you choose to have it shipped.

This gives me hope I will get the phone I want. lol

My local BB mobile store only got 10 preorders so far.
I'm not so concerned with the amount of preorders, but the amount of units they get in. There are a lot more SKUs this time around, and I can only see Best Buy stores only getting 1-3 of each SKU, if they get that much.

How are you able to determine that, call and they will tell you?

They just flat out told me because the other day I asked if they were going to open early Friday. They said doubtful because demand was not anything like the prior iPhone release and they said they only had 10 preorders.
