I'm looking for suggestions. I preordered my AT&T 64GB Space Grey iPhone and it has a Sept 24th ship date. I have since found out that my boyfriend is getting Space Grey as well and now I'm thinking I want to switch to Rose Gold. I got the new phone by upgrading my 2-year contract. The only way to get the 64gb Rose Gold on launch day is to preorder through Best Buy and pick up in store. Will they honor the 2-year contract prices? Suggestions?
Nope. I checked with BB on that already and their store manager confirmed that BB is not doing att 2 years contract.

No more 2 year contract through BB for AT&T.

I'm hoping my phone will be there Friday.

Do you guys know if you get a $200 gift card for adding a new Next line to your account? I got one for my Note 5, and I saw it in checkout, but I couldn't find any mention of it.
I asked the rep in store the same question and he confirmed yes.

But, as some members mentioned, not all BB employees know what they are talking about. So, cross my fingers. I have an iphone 3gs to trade in. Worst case, I'll cancel the preorder.

They have price matched each an every year I've bought a phone out of contract (since the 4s)

So they'll price match if it's $150 less on Apple's site? The unactivated Verizon 64GB 6S is currently showing an $899 price tag (not including their always high sales taxes), and Apple lists it as $749.

Yes, Best Buy will price match Apple's pricing.

They have to, but you'll be surprised how many people have money to blow and don't know of the cost difference.

Ahh, my bad, you're right about that being the 6S+. I'm interested in the 6S 64GB and it's $799 @ Best Buy (not $899). Still, with the $72 in sales tax I just saw via the screen shot someone posted in this thread, even with the price match, it's still not much of savings for me to get it there.

So the people that work at Best Buy on this forum, your saying my status won't ever change. Your telling me I have to just go in and see if they have it?

If you ordered for store pickup what will happen is that once we get the phones in inventory (which we have not yet. This will probably happen Thursday) an OMS ticket will print with your name on it. This OMS ticket means that a phone from that manifest has been assigned to you. Once the inventory team or a Manager gets the phone and puts the ticket on it then we will change the status in our system to "picked" and you will receive an email of confirmation that you can pick it up. The reason why your email hasn't changed is because we, quite obviously, do not have the phones yet and because if we did we don't want customers showing up 2-3 days early trying to claim the phones.

I am a Specialty Sales Manager, which means I am directly over phones. I ran my store's IPhone 6/6+, Samsung S6, and Note 5 launches so trust me when I tell you I know what I'm talking about.

I tried to preorder with BB when they opened up online but each time i did, it was immediately cancelled. Had no idea why and after the frustation of the third time, I just went with Sprint

Anyone know if their store is opening early on Friday?

My mobile store said no as they did not get lots of preorders to date but they may be forced to if all stores are opening early I'm assuming.

Hello,

I preordered an iPhone 6s+ for delivery. Would there be any possibility that the phone will be delivered by launch date? Or will Best Buy only start to ship phones then?

I work for Best Buy as well. I have preordered a 6S+ 64GB Gold last Friday at my store. So far my store has had about 20 preorders overall for the new phones. I'm off for the next two days, but when I go in on Thursday I work all day so I'm gonna check RSS and see what it shows we are receiving, or if we have already received it I'll see if my preorder has come in. I'd however really like to switch to a 6S+ 16 or 64 Rose Gold, so I'll see if that comes in as well. If they do I'll be the first in line at my store at 8am. If they don't come in Thursday before close, I'm driving directly after I get off work to wait all night at the Apple Store, lol.

When you login to Bestbuy.com it's under "order details"

Did you order online? I ordered in the store and do not see an option to view. There is nothing under "orders". The pre-order can be seen under "purchases", but there is no link or anyway to see the status.

All options as of yesterday were available for preorder EXCEPT for the 128GB Rose Gold 6+.

My strong advice (Manager at Best Buy) is to preorder as I don't expect us to have a large inventory of 128GB models. If you want 16-64 and want to walk in then you should be ok, we will be opening at 8am that Friday.

The best bet for inventory is to go to a Stand Alone Best Buy Mobile if there is one located in a mall near where you live as they will get priority when it comes to inventory

I found the one I want at a Best Buy in a mall close to where I live on their website and it's AT&T but I want to pay cash. It has the 'pre order' tab but I don't want a contract phone. Is there a way I can call the store and pre pay for the phone then pick it up Friday?
Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to pre order from BB and pay in full without a contract? The BB close to me had the one I want and has the Pre Order tab but it's for contract and even if they do charge $50 more like everyone is saying, it would cost that much for gas to drive to the nearest Apple Store for me.

I went to the store and preordered it for full price, no contract. The receipt I got shows the full price.

Thank you for the information. I canceled my preorder through ATT and ordered from Best Buy for store pick up on launch day. I had the option for shipping on Oct. 2nd. I guess I'm surprised to see that BBY is stating that devices will be so much earlier at this point in the game. I really hope so!!

Don't forget to have them price match apple

Oh cool! So I'm going to call as soon as they open in about 10 mins and if they still have that one for pre order, I'll just pay for it now. And do you think the chances of it being available to pick up on Friday are positive?
