They do sell them in the US now. I have the japanese version and I transferred it from my 5 to 5S and it fits perfectly with the touch ID/ring etc.

I just ordered some crystal films from powersupport USA.

Two questions about the Power Support:

1) is there any problem with the cutout for the touch id sensor? Does the metal ring intrude anything?

2) why are people saying that Power Support doesnt sell in the US anymore. I just went to their website and saw nothing that said there was no shipping in USA.

Just ordered a tempered glass protector for my 5S. Never tried a glass protector before so this will be interesting. Seems a lot easier than applying a regular protector, however I am an expert at applying them.

Ive heard glass protectors scratch less and make the screen feel identical to the naked screen. Hopefully it won't interfere with the touch ID since its raised slightly.

You will like these a lot. I'm not guaranteeing. I like them better then spigen because the screen protector is easier to install IMO and these have the lifetime replacement warranty. I email them only asking for replacements with no reason. I give them the order #, they ask to confirm the address and they ship it out ASAP.

So I put one of the matte anti-glare ones on my iPhone 5s and one of the HD clear on my moms iPhone 5. I personally like the matte anti-glare better, I love the lack of finger prints and how smooth it is!

Thanks again for the recommendation.

The Apple Store also sells (at least locally) the Belkin Iris Anti-Glare 2-pack for $14.99 USD (White packaging with black trim and says "Customized for your Retina display"). For an anti-glare screen protector this film is very optically clear. I would say about 95% clarity of ultra-crystal, while maintaining the anti-glare and anti-fingerprint properties of traditional anti-glare. I am pleasantly surprised at how good this one is.

I got belkin screen protectors for my 5 and they were some of the worst ones I've ever had.

I know this is kinda out of topic but I used to be a big fan of the crystal film. It started getting dirty and peeling on my 4S so I used my phone without a screen protector for a while. No issues whatsoever. So with the 5S I got AppleCare+ and the leather case. No screen protector this round for me.

I usually rock no screen protector. Had my phone for a week and while outside in the sun I noticed some super hair line scratches. Time for that screen protector search to start.

I'm using a Green Onions Supply oleophobic crystal clear protector on my 5S. Looks/feels like the naked screen! Best screen protector I've had.

Yep. Especially if your phone gets pressed up against earrings.

If you don't need to worry about any women borrowing your phone, then no worries. :D

Tempered glass screen protectors are the best. Easy installation, easy care, 100% clear. Barely attracts fingerprints.

I cant believe I ever used those film protectors.

Depends on the metal/stone. Not all are harder than glass.

Not necessarily. Plenty of men have earrings as well these days.

I've never had problems with my film protectors but it's definitely a YMMV matter. Best is as subjective as it has always been.

Mime Feather Glass

I just received a MIME USA Feather Glass for my 5s and it is pretty cool. Easy to install, not bulky, works with the fingerprint sensor, and so far not a fingerprint magnet like the Spigen one I had before on my 5....

True, however asking your wife or girlfriend which earrings she's wearing before letting her borrow your phone is unlikely to end well.

By the way - what's the hardness of the oleophobic coating on top of the glass? Do you suppose it's harder or softer than the glass?

Not necessarily. Plenty of men have earrings as well these days.
No, really?

I've tried them all, an nobody makes a better screen protector than Spigen. Perfect fit, easy install...and is dang near invisible.

You'll thank me later. :)

That's nice. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but mine's a little different.

I used to use Spigen, have had great success with Ultra Crystal Oleophobic.

With my 5s I decided to try Green Onions Supply Oleophobic.

Less oil residue than any Spigen I've ever owned; invisible unless you look for the actual edges of the thing.

Just my humble opinion.

you havent tried them all then.. because green onion supply makes the BEST. followed by tech armor and spg

I have used all sorts of different protectors/materials for the front. I got the spigen tr slim a few days ago and it is amazing!! Looks just like the actual screen, same feel and everything. No issues pressing the finger scanner either on 5s.

I bought this for my iPhone 5, and I liked it alot so I bought it for my iPhone 5s. So far everything good. My iPhone 5 screen protector got messed up but I just replaced it wasn't a manufacturer defect was a human mistake

If you're on budget, Tech Armor is pretty decent ($7 for 3-pack, lifetime replacements). I've been through a lot of brands and Green Onions Supply ($14 for 2-pack) is at the top of my list. Both can be found on Amazon.

Hello all, i have been looking for screen protectors for my iphone 5s, i am not really up to date but i have noticed there is tempered glass screen protector now in the market.
Are these better than the normal screen protectors?
Would you recommend specific brand selling on ebay prefered under 20$
Thanks

Took off the Belkin ones from the apple store. They have good clarity for matte/antiglare but they scratch way too easily. Put on the matte sgp ones.

Order from amazon as their website sucks...

anyone having a problem with the bottom under the home button not getting the bubbles out? I have tried with 3 different screen protectors and its showing a bubble mark.. I can not get it to go away no matter what I do?
