Yes.I'm only jealous. If this was out when i was looking for a new mouse,i'd have gone for it....All you have to do is download the drivers from razzer. All the info comes with the mouse.:)

right but will it work on the os x side?

like with a special program or something you think?

i want to be able to use it on both os x and windows interchageably

It will work on the OSX side,no worries but to inter-change with windows XP,I'm not sure.I've e-mailed Razzer on a couple of tech issues myself and they've been very helpful.Replied very quickly.Just see what they say.
Good luck.All the best:)

Hello Alex,

The Mamba will plug and play on both a Mac and a PC, thus you would be able to make
use of both the wired and non wired features. However, at this time the only
drivers that will be available will be for PCs. Without the drivers you would not
be able to map buttons and assign macros, but the basic functions of the mouse will
work just fine.

Thanks for your interest in Razer.

i'm guessing that the normal programs should get it working with hotkeys etc.. on the mac side? if this is the case?

what do you think:p

Just throwing out a recommendation for the G9. I've gone through about six or seven different mice in the last few years, looking for something that is great with games, but has a nice feel for light web browsing and a quality build.

I've tried a couple Razers, the MS Habu, an Intellimouse, a G5, an MX518, the Might Mouse (BARF), and finally came across the G9 last year. It's a phenomenal mouse, and I HIGHLY recommend it for serious gamers.

yeah i'm a big fan of apple, but the mightymouse leaves ALOT to be desired

here's why,

the little scrollball is easily clogged

the mouse is entirely un-ergonomic

the mouse only has 800dpi

it is too slippery

the scrollball is just too small

the right and left click sometimes accidentally sense one another ! meaning it's easy to hit the wrong click

8ms response time blows

is that enough cons ?!?!

pros....

it's ambidextrous, can scroll side to side and up and down with the ball

conclusion 2/5 stars as a mouse and 1/5 stars as a gaming mouse

i'd rather use a 10$ pc mouse from dell !

anyway the razer mamba looks like it will work on mac completely with some software right?

i don't much care for logitech mice because of the shape of most of their high end mice, it just bothers me, plus i boycotted logitech after i bought a webcam from them... lol anyway...

i think the g9 is great, roomate has it, but the mamba has much better specs and looks UNBELIEVABLE, but can i use it on mac (the macros etc...?) ?

I have been on the mouse quest.

I have the MM which I love, but it's crap for gaming. It made me lost several WC3 games

I had this fixation with BT and bought a Logitech V470 but I just don't like it. It seems like I never can get the sensitivity I like with it.

Now I bought a Deathadder Mac edition, nice gaming mouse, but a bit too large for my current mousepad

Best Mouse for games

Have been using my Razer Deathadder with a Razer exactMat Xspeed.
They work really well together.

Hey OP, glad you got a DeathAdder. After trial and error, testing Fatal1ty's mouse, and a couple other mouse, the Deathadder was my favorite.

It has Mac Drivers and Windows drivers works wonders on both, feels great in my hand and I'm a claw user as well and even though they say it's more for palmers, works great for me. Love it and can't recommend it enough.

I don't believe that there is one mouse that is best for everyone. Some people swear by the Razer Deathadder. I bought the white Mac edition and really tried to like it, but ended up giving it away because its not built for my favored grip. That guide on Razer about different grips seems goofy and overanalysis at first but someone's put some thought into it. Because of the shape of the Deathadder and the way I grip, my fingertips have no purchase on the right side. Right now, I use the Razer Lachesis for gaming but its not quite the perfect gaming mouse for me.

As for general purpose mice, the VX and MX Revolution mice cannot be beat. Excellent hand feel, particularly the MX. Only problem with the MX is its kinda big. There's a Bluetooth version of the MX as well, but you can only get it as a part of the Revolution keyboard/mouse set. VX is great too. Got it working with the VX Nano's supersmall receiver and I just more or less forget that its plugged into my MBP.

To the guy who asked if the MM was the only one with a scrollball. No, there's also the various Kensington Slimblades. To me, feels better than the MM and has the added benefit of discrete left/right buttons for none of this touchpad sensor nonsense. Really, Apple takes their institutional pathological distate for buttons too far sometimes.

yeah I followed the guide as a claw gripper and went with the Diamondback 3G, found it too big and not comfortable for me. The deathadder listed as top palm grip mouse works very well. Happy with it. matte black glow owns too!

Now that you picked a mouse that suits your taste, you need a GAMING PAD!!! :)

I have this one. It's from Belkin and Razer. It's very comfortable to use -- I can't say the same for their mice though.

LOL, that's not a gaming pad. That's just a glorified mouse pad! :D

This is a gaming pad my friend, well, they're usually called speed pads, but there are more choices now, so I used gaming:

Yeah, I know....I wanted to quote slinky1, who wrote about the exactmat, but I made a mistake

Yeah, I've been thinking about that Belkin Nostromo b/c I don't want to abuse the keyboard on my MBP too much.

I'm trying to decide between that and the Wolfking Warrior and the Logitech G13. On looks alone, the Belkin would win (wish it had white LEDs...) but seems Logitech provides much more functionality for the same price.

Oh yeah, in terms of "gaming surfaces," I have a Xtracpad Ripper XXL. I will not go back to puny mouse pads after this.

I wanted to have a 'speed' surface and got a similar sized writing pad at OfficeMax for $25. Works just as well as the high dollar hard surfaces that SteelSeries, Razer, et al sell.

I know the owner of the local Korean gaming cafe (what is it with those guys and internet cafés?) and we passed this off as an extremely expensive prototype and almost all the guys at the cafe said they'd pay for it. :)

I see sinser. :)

I would have probably bought a G13 if they were out when I picked up my n52te last year, as I'm a Logitech fan...boy... But having put my hand on the demo down at Frys, it's not remotely as comfortable to use and its thumb-stick is in an awkward position that sits behind where my thumb rests -- maybe it's adjustable.

But I do lik the extra buttons -- they would come in handy for DOTA -- and it would match my G9...

The blue LEDs match my case's obnoxious blue LEDs and I even made my G9's LEDs the same color. They can be turned off btw.

Funny, you're thinking of the Logitech gaming pad for your Razer mouse, and I'm using the Razer gaming pad with my Logitech mouse. :)

The most important thing when buying a mouse is to actually use the mouse before buying. If its a gaming mouse, your hand will be on that thing for hours and comfort ranks above dpi.

For me, I use the mac edition Deathadder. A buddy of mine uses the mac version as well on his PC. It fits my hand perfectly and the rubbery texture feels great. I use this flimsy travel mousepad that I got for under ten bucks at Fry's, I'd like a larger mat for my desk but what I got works for me.

I agree. I bought 2-3 mice unfortunately before settling on my deathadder. Luckily I was able to return the previous mice. I got the PC deathadder in black =) but yeah drivers work the same. I love the feel of it too, and it fits nicely in my hand, even with my smaller hands, the side buttons are easy accessible.
