Uhmm well the reason why sometimes your shirt/microfiber cloth will scratch your screen is because there is some sand particles/debris on it that you dont see and when you press and wipe it will scratch ..but i usually just shake it and itll be clean

hahahah you really think the coating will come out? the oil and greased are all cover and the coating is not that easy to stick to the tape:D

Yes, it will come out.
It wears out after continuous normal use.
You keep doing that it will be completelly gone within weeks and your finger instead of sliding up and down when you touch the screen it will just get stuck there and fingerprints and such will stick and show.
I'd rather stick a screen protector to not having to worry about scratches and clean the screen with any paper towel or shirt etc.....
What you're doing is being way too obsessed IMO.

the residue in scotch tape is bad for the screen, if u use it regularly, the screen is probably not as smooth as without using it.

the best way to use microfiber, especially the one that u got when u buy an iMac. it's very smooth and high quality.

when u clean the screen using microfiber or your cotton tshirt, make sure to rub it without any pressure at first so if there is a big dirt and dust, it will go away first, so the second time u rub it, this time apply pressure.

dont go rub the screen with pressure the first time, because dirt and dust that might scratch the coating or even the screen.

Seriously. If you really care about your phone, why not use case or atleast screen protector? I'm sure it'll get more scratches laying on the table open than rubbing with cloth/microfiber.

Wow, looks much better than I expected after the first post!
Just wondering, doesn't it leave any kind of adhesive? Like touching it with your finger and feeling it stick to the screen a little bit...

(Won't do it though)
