Dude! Why did you post a picture of a girl?

ok, so there are like 15 of these threads floating around. I preorder a lot of things from bestbuy. You will probably not get shipping info until Thursday night. They overnight packages, and the earliest you will see tracking info is Wednesday. Unlike apple, they are not going to provide tracking from China.

You mean your credit card charge has not posted yet? that doesnt necessarily mean anything.

edit: I just checked my card, and I have had a pending charge since pre-order, and now the pending charge is gone but the charge has not posted yet...now youve got me nervous :)

Did anyone's Best Buy order get cancelled? I just received an email 30 mins ago about my 2 orders were cancelled. I called into Best Buy to figure out the problem but they gave me a bizarre answer. I tried to see if they could reactivate the order for me but they said they can no longer place orders for an unlocked/off contract iPhone X. The rep told me that Apple forced them to stop selling off contract iPhones at their $100 up charge price so all the orders were cancelled. Which really made no sense to me. He told me that if I wanted the iPhone X, I would have to purchase it via a contract. I called BS until I checked the website and saw that the off contract iPhone X is no longer available for purchase.

Anyone else suffering the same problem as me? I know 3 other people who got cancelled. I placed both my iPhone X orders at 2:00am CST on the dot (email confirmation time).
I was never charged for it, but I suddenly have $1100 more available credit on my card :/. Order not canceled by Best Buy yet.

Dont you dare screw us all over best buy...

Fair to assume the orders are going to be canceled.

My order was cancelled as well. The cancellation email said something about "not being able to verify some information" which is odd as there was no effort made to contact me or validate anything. My contact and shipping info has been the same for years, and there wasn't any issues with the various orders placed this year. Sounds pretty fishy. Lesson learned. Order from Apple going forward.

Not the best way to start the day...

It could just be that best buy gets authorization for the charge, but doesnt actually charge until you pick it up? Or doesnt actually charge until it goes from pre-order to preparing?

I called my credit company last week to make sure it was a real charge and they said it all looked good. Maybe I will call again.

Ugh. I have not gotten an email yet...when did yours go out? Did you order more than 1 phone?

That is normal. The pending charge is just an authorization hold, making sure the funds are there. They typically fall off after 3-4 days.

My order was placed and confirmation received at 3:01am Friday morning (i received the cancellation email late last night). I ordered just one phone in which i was going to pay full price (off contract). Not trying to scare anyone, but just passing along my bad news. Hopefully it all works out for everyone else, but unfortunately i'll be getting mine closer to the end of year now. What stinks the most is just making the effort to get up so early and walking away with nothing!

If you chat with agent they should pull up your order status and i belive all has been prepare

apps and acc check doesnt correctly

Posting this in this thread as well to clear up "charges falling off confusion"
The charge falling off means nothing unless you have an actual cancellation email. The way it works with best buy and most of the carriers is the same way your card is charged when you dine out. Your card is charged a pre-authorization then at the end of the night tips are added in if they exist and a final authorization is made on the charge. You don't usually see 2 separate charges since it happens within the same day, but in the case of pre-orders where the item doesn't actually ship right away, usually the time that pre-authorization is held expires before your product ships so you might assume it cancelled but It hasn't. The initial authorization is just giving them permission to charge x amount of dollars to your card so even if it falls off before shipment they have the right and permission to charge that amount again when they are ready. I've had companies authorize my card and then take 2 weeks to ship something so the charge falls off and then I've even had instances where I wasn't actually charged for the purchase until it had been delivered. They can take all the time they want in charging it but for these more expensive items you can usually bet that you will have the charge go back through again when it ships and its only the pre-authorization expiring because they can only hold your money for so long without finalizing the charge and not an actual cancellation of your order. So.... the charge falling off means nothing. If the charge pops up again after it had disappeared then THAT might actually mean you've shipped and the transaction is being finalized. Hope that clears up some confusion I've seen on here with this.

Anyone's BestBuy pending authorization posted yet? It's been four days!

That extra $100 is really paying off! Mine says 12/15 lmao. Look at all that "flexibility"

Cool thanks. Several people reporting that their full price best buy order has been cancelled so Im paranoid.

I paid full price and mine hasn't been canceled. Wouldn't surprise me if best buy did that though.
