I ordered my phone for launch day store pickup (with AC+) and so far my order still seems fine... Anything could happen though. I had no other option because I needed to purchase outright and wanted the universal CDMA model. Hoping BBY comes through for me.

My order was placed and confirmation received at 3:01am Friday morning (i received the cancellation email late last night). I ordered just one phone in which i was going to pay full price (off contract). Not trying to scare anyone, but just passing along my bad news. Hopefully it all works out for everyone else, but unfortunately i'll be getting mine closer to the end of year now. What stinks the most is just making the effort to get up so early and walking away with nothing!
uh- did you call and ask why?
 
Carriers may have had issue with this if true, and that's why this happened...I always say buy using your carrier info to avoid any mishaps

If you take the amount of months you are paying times the amount it equals to $1,149.00. Same as Apples full price with att.
 
Note: I ordered late and got a Nov 10th date to pick up at store. YMMV.

My order was cancelled as well. The cancellation email said something about "not being able to verify some information" which is odd as there was no effort made to contact me or validate anything. My contact and shipping info has been the same for years, and there wasn't any issues with the various orders placed this year. Sounds pretty fishy. Lesson learned. Order from Apple going forward.

'Not being able to verify information' was the classic AT&T excuse of why your AirPods order was cancelled.
 
I have a hard time seeing Best Buy would cancel orders when they came out talking about the "flexibility" they offer. They'd be more likely to adjust all orders down $100 then cancel them if it was truly pressure from Apple...

As I've checked, the reason why your order has been cancelled is that the item is out of stock form the nearest store in your location.

I understand. However, we may need the availability of the item in your nearest Bestbuy in your location so that we can ship it to your home. No worries, you can still reorder the item and please be advised to enter the correct information when you place the order since I can see here that there are some information which is not yet updated that's why it is also one of the reason why our system automatically cancelled your order.

I'm sorry to hear that since we may really need to depend the availability of the item near you. The other reason that I can see here in my end why the order has been cancelled is there are some information that you may need to verify to your bank so that the purchase will be successfully process.

Was there a pending charge on your card? Clearly its a bogus excuse by them, and Im holding my breath I dont get chopped.

the only reason i ended up using best buy was because the apple app was giving me trouble with the preorder rush. But yeah, i learned and will not make the mistake again

Ridiculous. So are you re-ordering through best buy? Were you an AT&T buyer who wanted a verizon phone?

I am an AT&T customer and plan on staying with them, but I generally buy my phones outright each year. I put in my order with apple directly this morning and will wait it out. (boo!)

seems to be in store pickup is ok so far, and shipping orders are more questionable.
