Keyboard sucks. Apple needs to totally rework the Macbook Pro keyboards.
Small and robotic.

Well there's plenty of scenarios that have people needing more then 256GB of space.Explain to me the benefits of having more than 256 gb of internal storage?
In what use cases would 256 gb be insufficient? I ask b/c I just bought a base model and may want to swap if I can be convinced
Also, someone above described themselves as a 'content creator'... what is that, exactly? what kind of 'content' do they 'create'
Nope. No you couldn't, but I'll assume you wouldn't know anything about the subject of the processing required to mix and master audio recording.Yep and you could drive from A to B in a much cheaper car. You could also mix an album on an iMac G3 if you wanted to. It'd take you a lot longer but you could do it.
Yes, top notch keyboardYeah ..... good luck with the premium keyboard friend![]()

Yet many could justify the cost when they were first released and I'm sure a lot of those laptops have already paid themselves off with the work they achieved.
Just goes to show that value is in the eye of the beholder.
Yes, but look at who you’re buying from. One of the most disreputable sellers in the business. I’ll pass. I rather save up and buy directly from Apple, even with the outrageous premium they charge.
I have never dealt with B & H, are they that bad?
I haven’t purchased from them in years so maybe they have changed. I always had bad experiences buying camera equipment and such from them years ago. They had a very bad reputation in the New York area. They would frequently sell gray market stuff without marking it as such. Lenses new in box with mold on the elements because they were sitting in a damp basement, etc. At that time there were limited places to buy camera equipment so they had a captive audience. Maybe having competition has made them up their game. Once bitten, twice shy I guess.
Cost justification is hardly a problem for pros who use their machines to generate tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. The fact that they can afford such a massive price drop just goes to tell you the absurd markup on these machines.

key word: justify
The lack of upgradability is the reason I purchased a Grade a/b MBP mid 2012 fully upgradable for less than $700.
I bought a refurb 2017 model, up from a 2011 model and I couldn't be happier. The keyboard has taken a bit getting used to, but I can now type on it faster than the 2011 model or Apple keyboard on my iMac. The Touch Bar is starting to grow on me and I'm starting to figure it how to use it more efficiently.Nice savings, just a shame the laptop sucks so much. Hopefully, App,e can see past the sales numbers and get professionals a laptop with a decent keyboard and drop the gimmick touchbar
Why would people still rely on their internal drives is beyond me. Do your work and back it up ASAP to your externals or the cloud. Laptops are not storage machines.
B&H is a great retailer. Ordered from them numerous items.
Apple has rarely been the best solution for those seeking the highest specs for the lowest price. I suppose there are cheaper laptops that offer four 40Gbps Thunderbolt 3 ports.
My experiences with them go back to the 80’s. I couldn’t care less about their Religious holidays. There is very little that I purchase that I can’t wait a few days for.NEVER have I had a bad experience when ordering from B&H. It makes me wonder what your motives are in making such a comment.
You are free to wonder whatever you wish. However I wonder why some take criticism of any company or product personally? I’m sure I’ve had excellent experiences with companies or products others hate. It’s all good. As a medical professional, the majority of my patients like me and stay with me. There are a few that don’t and chose another provider. I send them off with their records and a smile; I hope they find another physician who suits them better. Some people just don’t click. The same is true with products and companies. I never take it personally and I couldn’t care less about their motives.
My last camera purchases have been from B&H. I was perfectly satisfied with the entire process. Nothing hidden in the on-line descriptions. My experiences date back to 2006 with DSLRs by Canon, earlier than that for CF cards. I would consider that "years" ago, wouldn't you?
Some of these negative comments may come from those who have a bias concerning the days that no orders can be processed due to religious holiday reasons. People don't complain when Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving or religious holidays.
Here's my issue (beyond high pricing):
Deals are available but the storage space is insufficient and you can't upgrade it.
