How about being able to run two Apple Watch apps at a time. I want to do timer based runs using the app “seconds” whilst also tracking the activity in the workout app.
Isn't the bolded part redundant?
Yes. SO that's why everyone cried about a dark mode and we're getting one...
Wow did you come from the future? The big push for the unification of iOS and MacOS has begun. Shame on you Apple. It’s going to become Windows 10. A bloated, unoptimized pig.![]()
I wonder why...? (Forstall)As long as we don’t end up with one “Apple OS” for all devices I’m willing to give Apple a chance. I’m simply not as confident in the Software Team as I was 10 years ago.![]()
A revamped Reminders app with four default sections laid out in a grid: tasks to be done today, all tasks, scheduled tasks, and flagged tasks
A revamped Books app with updated progress tracker and new rewards system
iOS 13 sounds amazing. Bring it on!
And why will stability be worse? You'll miss the current stability we're all enjoying now and taking for granted. I think we've all forgotten how messy iOS can be.
smh, no. Just because he wants mouse support, doesn’t mean he should get a laptop.
Couldn’t disagree with you more. Some kind of cursor support for the iPad is an absolute necessity if it is ever to become a serious writing tool. But I also (perhaps) disagree with the previous poster as well, because I’m not sure a mouse is the way to accomplish that. But I’ll leave the elegant solution finding to Apple.Yes, it absolutely positively 100% means that.
Stop trying to make the iPad something it isn't. These people just want a $300 Apple pseudo-laptop for the moments when that suits them, and then an iPad the rest of the time... which they will then bitch about endlessly because of how terrible it is.
Agreed. It’s annoying that I can’t track a run using the Nike app and the Apple Fitness app at the same time. How about being able to run two Apple Watch apps at a time. I want to do timer based runs using the app “seconds” whilst also tracking the activity in the workout app.

I never had any issues with ios 11 on my devices.iOS 11 brought a slew of pro-iPad features, but the cost was bogging down all but the most powerful devices. I guess that’s always a risk whenever you cram too many new features into a release. Hopefully, Apple doesn’t undo the gains they made with ios 12, because iOS 13 sounds like it will be sweet for iPad Pro users like myself.

I had the 10.5 inch pro and the iPhone X so they probably ran it a bit better,I recall iOS 11 being a noticeable drag on my 9.7” iPad Pro. To the point where if my iPad was mirrored to the Apple TV in my classroom, simply launching notability would sometimes cause my iPad to drop its connection (presumably due to the lack of ram). I also had issues keeping even a single app open in the background.
I remember jumping on the iOS 12 public beta the moment it was made available and being impressed by the immediate and very noticeable performance improvements.

These things are usually conceived at least a year or two in advance at the least. And imo iOS 13 was supposed to be iOS 12, if not for the horrendous iOS 11. So it won’t be surprising iOS 13 having a ton of new stuff as it got an extra development cycle thanks to iOS 11.
Imo the numbering system gets a bit silly now, I mean after iOS 15 or so, it feels that maybe Apple should rethink the naming scheme.
What will that buy them? I mean, the watch has already been usable without an iPhone if you spend the extra money on cellular. But the watch doesn't really reach its full potential until paired with an iPhone. Who would even buy a *truly* independent Apple Watch? Without iPhone integration, it would essentially be a very expensive Fitbit.
And, as another poster mentioned, there really isn't much of a market for independent Apple Watch apps. I'm on my third watch and have yet to install an app that was truly independently useful - oh, wait, there was that workout app which allowed me to stay in a preferred heart rate zone....never mind - even that app needed to write its health/workout data back to the iPhone's Health app/data store.
I think I am one of the few who doesn't care at all about a home screen refresh on the iPhone or a redesign. It's all superficial to me and makes no difference. I don't need to see a pretty sun with clouds on my home screen. I just need my phone to run the apps I need it to when I need it do. I never understood the "I am bored with iOS" mentality.
I know a few people who would love to live the wearables life Apple Watch + AirPods, with an iPad Mini for home use/travel. They barely need a computer (the iPad Mini) and normally just want to go about their day with a minimum of devices (Apple Watch + AirPods).
I'd love the option for my home screen (even better, my lock screen) to have the Klok widget presented so I can instantly view different time zones and the Google Transit Departures widget so I can instantly see departure times for nearby train stations. I'm still on a TouchID phone, but with FaceID, I see no reason why looking at your iPhone should not mean being delivered user configured/selected information vice only viewing notifications.
At this point, I can customize the information delivered when I glance at my Apple Watch more that I can with my iPhone.
With a TouchID phone, I touch my phone to access information.Does a similar widget not exist for iOS? Is it the swipe right that’s bothersome?
