(a conversation between me and the "apple expert" of apple.com)
Expert: Hi, how may I help you?
Me: Hey, Just wondering why there isn't an education discount on the apple wireless mighty mouse.
Expert: Great question! This is a new product from apple and therefore there is no discount currently available.
Me: I see. Perhaps after WWDC?
Expert: Great prediction....but however I do not have any knowledge of when a discount wil be available.
Yeah, actually it seems to be wired up in parallel circuit if my electronics education is rightsam10685 said:that's cool but it seems like with one battery, the circuit wouldn't be complete. will it?

That sucks. I was going to take a trip to my local Apple store (Eaton Centre, Toronto) at the weekend and buy it, but I'm not going to bother now and shall stick with my one-button BT mouse.
Is it too much to ask for Apple to allow the mouse to be backwards compatible with PPC/Panther machines.
I know that some of you will say upgrade to Tiger, but with Leopard not so far away, I want to bide my time.

Same thing as wired... without the wire.
On the bottom the laser doesn't flash red or anything like the normal wireless mouse; instead there is a green LED that flashes. It is slightly lighter than the old wireless BT Apple Mouse. That's about it.
Those originals are all too small. Please repost in larger dimensions.joshwest said:Here some pics, used my mbp as cam thats why the mirror

edit: hah i just realized there are a ton of threads on this.. well still.. $70!!
I read (on another swedish mac-forum) that it worked fine under Windows XP. I don't know if you can program all the buttons, but the left/right-click and scroll button worked fine. I think the Wireless Mighty Mouse will work under 10.3.9 and forward. But the Mighty Mouse software will probably not work, but USB Overdrive (or a similiar app) will give you access to the special-buttons.craigatkinson said:Does anyone know if it works with windows yet?
DId you even read the page you're on? I already posted that.craigatkinson said:Do you have windows? Does it work with windows? Does anyone know if it works with windows yet?
