are there any lines waiting for Galaxy release, yet?

All those are upgrades as long as you don't look outside of Apple. 3 years in a row with the same screen to body ratio - wow, really?
None of that is important, because it still looks the same. :/wow, so much misinformed comments. let's me break it down:
- 3.5 mm jack is history. you will never see it again on iphone. so you should plan to stay with iphone 6/6s for many years to come.
- reliable reception: so far there are no reception gate reported yet. Yes, there are some people reporting this issue, especially Verizon. but don't make it sound like all iphone 7 have this issue.
- non-laggy iOS 9.3.5: my iphone 6 plus on ios 9 was laggy but after upgrading it to ios 10. the performance is smooth. also ios 9 is history. if you like it, plan to stay with it forever.
- home button and swipe to unlock: again if you like to live with the past and refuse to move on. you should plan to stay with your iphone 6/6s for a long time. the home button is now history, and it won't come back.
- Not much difference between A9 and A10: seriously? 40% improvement over A9 is not much difference? 2 high performance cores for gaming and 2 high efficiency cores for long battery life.
- No difference between 2GB and 3GB DRAM: might be true now since 3GB hardware is new. give it time and app will use this resource, especially video games. when it comes to gaming, no RAM amount is enough.
- Stereo speaker and vibrating home button - guess what? next year iphone 7s/8 will have these speakers and Taptic engine that you are not so fond of.
-Fake bokeh: for those who don't like to carry DSLR with lens everywhere they go, this fake bokeh is not an alternate solution. most of the time, people leave their DSLR at home and can't capture a best moment. having a picture is better than no picture at all. you might ask why not photoshop to create this bokeh but many people don't have time for photoshop. they want pictures that are good enough out of the box.
Taptic engine is not just for home button. it is used for haptic system that is used for all UI interaction across ios 10, that is not available to iphone 6s.
If you could only step out of your bubble and see how sad and confused you sound...
I keep picking up my 6s plus instead of my 7, they just look so similar. I should just return the 7.None of that is important, because it still looks the same. :/

Sadly, many would.

It clearly was to my daughter (she is 31 years old and works in the tech field in Silicon Valley, not a teenager). I keep hearing that it's no different than the 6S, but the 6S was a huge leap over the 6. LOL.
I don't get why Samsung people are here, don't they have fires to put out?are you trying to avoid the question? instead, go for personal attack. what are you doing here if you believe it is all hype and marketing machine from Apple?
go and stay in line for your galaxy Note 7.
Lol. Good one6S over 6 definitely was, but I spend time with these things all day and 7 over 6S is just not there. People have even benchmarked apps opening and not seen improvements that in theory should be there. Maybe in certain high performance games you would see the impact.

best you can do? it only been said about 1000 times. zero originality anymore, just like Apple

I would never buy a 6S+ over a 7+. I just upgraded from my 6+ to my new 7+ a few days ago but mainly because Verizon bought it from me for the $650 credit towards the 7+. 3GB ram, quad core processor, dual speakers, better battery, water resistance, etc. No way I'd opt for a 6S+ over it but just my opinion. 6S+ is still a good phone, as is the 6/6+.
You could've easily reserved the 7+ online at an apple store and bought it there the next day. Thats what I did after cancelling my preorder.
The 3GB RAM wasn't proving to be beneficial...
what are you doing here? since you don't seem to like apple and its products. do you even own iphone 6s or iphone 7? you got no credibility in this thread if you don't even own iphone 6s/7.
or are you here to express your rage over apple and its marketing machine?
Why are you on an Apple forum then...
Oh, I'm sorry, is this the Apple kiss a** or bust forum? Must have missed that in the forum rules.

Might be that difference where you live but for me the 7+ was £100 upfront and £58 a month for unlimited min/texts and 5gb data. Ive got the 6s plus for £50, unlimited mins/texts, 30gb data and its costing me £30 a month.
Thats £722 difference over the contract when you factor in the line rental and upfront cost. A BIG cost difference.
Whatever dude, TL;DR you have no patience, couldn't wait, and now pretend like its not that great because you bought last year's phone instead.
That's basically what it sounds like to me!.
Well I'm skeptical ... what possible reason is there for the OP to get a £722 difference in value from buying a 7+ vs a 6s+ from the carrier? I think he's leaving something out.Read the above.
Then read the OP again. Both of you apparently don't understand that changing goalposts isn't for everyone, and is far from patience.
A saving of £722 itself can justify the next year's iPhone generation, probably getting a 7S Plus in a configuration he wants.
this has been said many times in this thread. 3GB hardware is new and it takes time for app to update to utilize the resource, especially games. So far only apple own app, camera, is using this extra RAM.

Do you know what, I've owned iPhones a long time and always upgraded where I could, but threads like this make me think it's well past time to get off that stupid train.
I'm in contract for another year so was always going to miss the 7 whatever happened - but let's get real, the 7 is an ok update and that's it. That's all. If the OP is saving £722 by sticking with the 6S, *and* is out of contract in a year ready for the 7S/8, then that is inarguably a good deal, there is simply nothing else to be said.
There is NOTHING in the 7, no matter how you roll it all together and how much hyperbole you apply, that is worth £722 and a whole other year locked in contract. It's a 6S with bells on, and those bells are not worth a fraction of what he's saving.
Talk of "night and day" and deriding "old tech" - it is utterly ridiculous and speaks of a kind of mass delusion/hysteria on this whole subject. The 6S was a good phone, and the 7 is another good phone with some predictable updates on the 6S. It's not the second coming, it's not a revolution or a game changer, it's the *same* tech with a year's worth of refinements rolled in, and next year the same types here will relegate it to the same nonsensical scrap pile of "old tech" and make like the 7S is the only phone worth making a call on. It's absurd, and it's also quite obscene when you think of all the waste and environmental damage this mindset creates.
TLDR: OP you made the right choice, thanks for sharing.
No the 6S was no game changer either, year on year they never are, and I'm sorry but the statement "every upgrade is worth it" is meaningless hogwash. Worth what? Worth £722 and locking yourself out of next years upgrade? Don't be ridiculous - of course it isn't.And 6S was to the 6? Get real here now, we haven't had a game changer in a while. The fact is mobile phones have gotten so advance that it has become difficult to come up with your so called 'game changer' and that doesn't only apply to Apple. Every upgrade is worth it. It is definitely better than the last. It is up to the consumer if the upgrades is enough to upgrade from the existing device he/she owns. To say the 7 is not worth the upgrade from a 6, who are you to say that? If my pocket allows it and current plan makes it more reasonable to upgrade yearly why the f**k not? If you choose to keep or upgrade to the 6s to save money good for you. Don't try to justify your decision and make yourself feel the 7 is not that much of an upgrade. It's pretty laughable really. Enjoy your 6s and don't try to convince yourself it is better than the 7. The technical specs prove otherwise. Your upgrading to yesterday's phone for crying out loud. Yes the 6s was great and I loved it last year, but the 7 is now. I doubt the 8 will be a game changer either but you know what? I'll be upgrading to it too. What are you guys posting next year that the 8 is not much of an upgrade from the 7? LOL let's get real now.
