Boycott FedEx immediately!

Once had this issue with UPS. They said they delivered it (left at door). Nothing at my door.

There are 7 buildings in my community and each has my apt number. I walked them all and found my package 2 buildings over sitting at the door.

You should be the star of the next Samsung commercial. The one where they make fun of people who buy Apple stuff.

Try not to work so hard to be a caricature of the rest of us.
 
Dude FedEx has always been amazing to me in two different states. They always deliver early and my packages are always in great condition.

jazzmanmonty: I have never had a problem with FedEx. UPS & USPS both suck. If you 'pre-signed' they have to take the paperwork as proof it was delivered. If you still have the paperwork, they are jerking you around. You have to find out which FedEx depot handled the delivery. If you track the package, it will tell you 'scan in & out for delivery'. I am in NJ and I know all my packages come from the Edison depot. Hope you still have the paperwork.
 
I've been boycotting FedEx for the past decade. I never choose FedEx when I need to ship, because they suck, plain and simple. If Apple wants to use them, there's not much I can do about it -at least they didn't explicitly charge me (of course, it's baked into the price, but hey).

Nope. The OP is right -even if a little hyperventilated. My FedEx carrier routinely leaves door tags without knocking because he's too friggin lazy to carry packages up the stairs -delivers door tags and leaves the packages at the rental office. I've WATCHED him do it. They've lost more shipments than I care to recall, and regularly botched overnight service when I used them in my illustration business.

FedEx used to be something in the '80s and '90s, but now they're just a joke.
 
I ordered a fully loaded MBP last year from Apple... Well the day it was suppose to arrive, i was sitting at my front window like a dog in heat.. i check the tracking and it shows "delivered" and signed for.. i go crazy, call FedEx and Apple.. I guess the driver read the address wrong and delivered a fully loaded MBP to the wrong person.. 2700.00 laptop???? Imagine the look on the guys/girls face when they opened that box..

FedEx contacted driver and he went back to the house he delivered it to, and the person returned the package to him ( unopened ) and brought it back to me.. She delivered it finally that same day and acted like nothing happened ( she didn't know i knew anything about what had happened )

I almost had a heart attack that day!! lmao..

but i would NEVER pre-sign for something like this..thats just way to risky..

Thanks to the fine operation FedEx runs, thousands upon thousands of iPads are all being delivered today.

Their is no doubt that some situations will occur, yet I'm sure they will be resolved very quickly.

Guess ur iPad showed up on time and all is well in ur household. I love how all these negative posts are showing up from people who don't have any issues. You can be damn sure that if any of u trolls had the same problem you would have started a thread and would be freaking out about how bad fed-ex is. Don't act like u would be sitting back relaxing, breathing & chilling out while ur iPads are missing and ur computer screen is showing them as delivered and signed for by someone else's name. Don't lie...ALL of u waiting for an iPad delivery today had ur fed-ex tracking window open at least 10 times this morning. And you'd be kicking and screaming just like the OP if a similar situation insued.

Hi Op, thanks for an entertaining thread. Some of the posts make me laugh.
I hope you will get your ipad soon. I just got mine this morning at a local apple store (only 10 customers there this morning! I was so supprised that people in my city didn't care much for the new ipad:D)

Hey OP, you say you have a 6 month year old, how do you find the time to sit at the Window all day waiting for the FedEx guy when your looking after a child?

Looks like you have the maturity of a child...
 
This was an entertaining thread on Friday....so I'm bumping to see what happened in the end.
 
I too want to know how this turned out?

I also want to know where was the baby while the OP was: having a daytime beer even though he may be called into work; writing on a forum; filming a Fed Ex guy - next Youtube sensation no doubt!

This is my favourite new iPad post so far!
