I'd consider these if they said Bluetooth connectivity was improved.
They said it is

Finger's crossed on this end.
I had the Dash for a week. I LOVED them. Had to return them - because they friggin' didn't fit in my ears. My ears are small enough that I just couldn't get a secure fit. The Dash would have been perfect and exactly what I've been looking for (cable-free headphones for exercise, possibility of leaving phone at home thanks to AW2 and internal storage, waterproof for swimming) and yes, I was willing to pay a premium for this. The usability with the touch was neat and admittedly, they just look great. If only they had fit. And there isn't anything that comes nearly as close from any of the competitors. The Samung Gear-whatever-theyre-called would be the right size, but Androind-only. Them and also the Airpods aren't waterproof. And let's face it, the Airpods just look ridiculous.
I'm veeeeeery tempted of getting the tailored Dash. They're f*** damn expensive (I had a hard time getting the original Dash because, yes, it is a lot of money). But if they really end up fitting my ears and have been improved in terms of bluetooth, then yes, I'm definitely back in the market for some Dash.
And while I'm repeatedly reading about the W1 chip being superior and not having one being a big killer, I keep wondering about that. I have the Bose QC35 and don't have any connectivity issues even among different devices. I have yet to understand what is so much better about my husband's Beats with W1. Well yeah, the initial pairing itself might be easier. Great. Headphones are so much more than just the pairing process, though. It certainly wouldn't be my main focus.
I really had hoped something like the Dash would have come from Apple. At least for me, Apple greatly under-delivered with the Airpods
