Kinda off topic a bit, but the producer Vince Gilligan is the one that was a producer on The X-Files?
No, that was Chris Carter. Vince Gilligan was a writer for X-Files and did something like 30 episodes.

Ah, that's it. I knew I remembered his name from the show. The X-Files still remains as the best TV show ever, imho. That show had my Friday nights locked.
I love X-Files too and have all 9 seasons on DVD. Though, IMO, Breaking Bad is even better.![]()
I wouldn't be so sure regarding his money. In the flash forward episode he leaves a $100 bill as a tip for the waitress. I'm guessing if he didn't have his money he wouldn't be leaving a tip like that. Its going to be very difficult for Walt to keep the money he buried. If Hank, Steve Gomez and Jesse were all killed in the shootout (something I think is unlikely) the DEA, cops, etc. would still go over the site with a fine-tooth comb as part of the investigation. And even if the cops didn't get the money, I don't think Todd's uncle and the rest of the neo-Nazi crew are going to let Walt waltz away with ~$60 million in unmarked bills.
My guess is that, once the series finale is over, all that Walt will have left his family is the car-wash. And there is something "just" about that. He won't have left his kids penniless, but his life of crime won't have left them multimillionaires either. It'll probably work out pretty close to the $670,000 that Walt calculated he needed to leave for his family back in Season 1.
Didn't even catch that! I love the subtleties that are in this show.
This was the most cliff hanger type episode this series has had so far
Ugh wasn't a fan when I saw the credits pop up lol

I can tell ya right now he doesn't end up happily ever after. See the part i in the future when he goes to his house and it has kids skateboarding in the back, and his neighbor is shocked / terrified to see him? Also in the flash forwards he has quite a lot of money to spare ($100 tip, lots of guns which costed an undisclosed amount - probably $50k), and changed his identity (most likely with the cleaner). Also it appears like he ends up killing both Skyler and Jesse according to some easter eggs (because he takes on traits of people he kills). Crazy 8 - cuts the crust off his sandwiches after his death, same as he did. Gus - ends up driving a volvo, same as Gus. Mike - took his drinks on the rocks, which Walt took up. Skyler - would always position his bacon into the number of his bday, on his bday - same as Walt does when it flashes forward. Has same jacket as Jesse during the flash froward scenes.....we shall see! Unless he just does it as a momento because he misses them and can't contact to him to protect his identity.
Any thoughts about Breaking Bad's spinoff? Will you watch it, if it gets done?

Watching that last hour was like inviting the writers to come over to your house so they could emotionally beat you to a bloody pulp.
That was the climax of the series. Everything is downhill from here.
In my mind I have always known there couldn't be a happy ending to this show... but still... watching it happen, and all of this. Wow.
