Not sure who he's gonna kill, but it doesn't seem like he's planing to avoid a final big conflict.

I have an idea of what's going to happen...

EXTREME SPOILERS BELOW!

.
.

The next episode is called "Granite State", which is another name for New Hampshire. From that, I'm gonna guess the last two episodes take place a year later, sometime after Walt buys the gun, and grabs the ricin capsule from behind the electrical outlet.

And who is he going for? Jesse. He's the only person Walt hates enough to come out of hiding for.

There's gonna come a point when Walt realizes the blue meth is still on the market, and there's only one person who's familiar enough with his formula to replicate it. Some way, some how, he'll find out the Nazis didn't live up to their end of the bargain, and decide to finish it himself. He has nothing else to live for. Skyler's in prison (that last phone coversation all but confirmed that's gonna happen), Hank's dead, Junior, who's likely living with Marie, probably loathes him, and Holly's probably a ward of the state by that point, away from his reach. He has nothing left in his life save for the anger and hate that'll push him to take care of that one last loose end before the cancer finally kills him.

...and the last shot will be Jesse smoking the ricin cigarette.

^ Not a bad theory.

I do think Walt and the Nazi's will have a showdown.
Jesse will play an important part in the next two episodes no doubt.

Hmmmm.....

Not sure. The flash forward where Walter gets a car full of guns and promises the seller that "They won't leave town"

Not sure who he's gonna kill, but it doesn't seem like he's planing to avoid a final big conflict.

The only thing that I can think of is that he learns about Jesse cooking for the Nazis and either he decides to take him out along with as many of them as possible or he has a change of heart regarding Jesse and decides to save him. Those are the only things that make any sense. I think Lydia is out of the picture at this point. Unless he uses her to set them up somehow.

Definitely a powerful episode tonight. My hands got cold due to nerves and tension.

Yeah I caught that too. Same cloths too.

Yup, pretty much what I think. There's nowhere else to go with the story. Unless...this is a reach but could it be possible that Walter learns that Jesse's girlfriend and son are in harms way and decides to try and help them...trying to do one good deed to try and atone for everything else he's done bad??? Maybe?

EDIT: I'm also thinking that Walter had to know that the police were there and he purposefully said all those things to Skyler so as to incriminate her.

Spoilers follow (as if I needed to say that)

It was hard to watch Walt get his revenge on Jesse by telling him about letting Jane die - that hurt Jesse more than any physical attack could. But at the same time, there was still a flicker of humanity left in Walt as he tried desperately to save Hank.

The one I feel the worst for (aside from Holly), is Walt Jr, who has had his world torn apart. If nothing else, I'd like to see Walt find a way to leave some of the money to his children, who could end up being raised by Marie if there's nobody else left.

I wonder how much more we're going to see of Saul and Lydia. You'd think that Lydia will reappear because of the scene with creepy Todd last week, but there are only two episodes left.

Yeah, he knew. Though after watching that scene a second time, he's setting her up as an unwilling accomplice, not as an equal partner in a criminal endeavor ("it was me, all me"). Walt knows everything is eventually gonna blow back on her, and that she already looks guilty enough on her own. What he's doing is incriminating her to a lesser degree. She'll see jail time, I'm sure, but her sentence won't be nearly as harsh as what she would've otherwise gotten if he hadn't said anything at all.

Walt isn't what I'd call a good man. He's too narcissistic, too angry, and too unwilling to admit to his own mistakes to ever see complete redemption. But this episode did go pretty far to show he's not a complete monster. Though he's not very good at it, he does care about his family.

A lot more. From what I've heard, Better Call Saul is a sure thing.

Yes you're right. After I posted my comment I started thinking about it some more and replayed the last 30 minutes of the episode. The second time around I heard how he absolved her more than I did the first time. So yeah, while she may not be in the clear completely I think she'll be fine.

Again though, what an episode. Possibly the most heart rending intense episode of the entire series to this point.

And I also read that You Better Call Saul is coming to AMC though they may use a different actor due to the story going back to Saul's early years. That would be too bad because I think Bob Odenkirk is so good at playing Saul.

Not only that. He can't admit weakness. He can't apologize. He has no one left to care. No one left to forgive him. He has no one to confide in. So the facade of cold-bloodedness is part of his armor now. He had a brief moment when he admitted to Skylar that he tried to save Hank. He knew that after she attacked him with the knife and Walt Jr. helped his mom that it was all over. He took Holly in a panic but once he was able to calm down he saw that being with him was not what was best for her (that moment in the bathroom where he knows he has to let go).

That was the most heartbreaking hour of television I have ever watched. I cared for every person and I felt all of their pain. If this series doesn't run the Emmy's this year, it'll be a travesty.

Oh, I doubt they will. Not after these last few episodes. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they just decide to bite the bullet and rename this years Emmys to the Breaking Bad Appreciation Celebration.

I mean they might as well... :p

They damn well better not. Saul is as good a character as he is because of Bob Odenkirk. They get anyone else to play the role, and it won't even last a season.

...also I should add that I'm secretly hoping they somehow find a way to work it into a Mr. Show reunion.

Mr. Shoe reunion? Sorry don't know what you mean :(

I think this show has officially surpassed The Sopranos in my opinion. The Sopranos was my all time Favorite but Damn ! what an episode !

Agreed. I'd have little interest in watching a show about Saul without Bob O. The timeline could begin a few years before Breaking Bad and they could still use him. I'd watch it just to see how many different colored shirts he can wear.

Spinoffs can be tricky to pull off. M*A*S*H was a great show, but the sequel flopped, even with the same actors - the characters just didn't work out of the Korean war context. Star Trek probably spawned the most spinoffs of any series, and they weren't equally successful.

Depending on if the last couple of episodes not ruining it (I doubt they will) then I would concur.

I woke up a little bit earlier just to download and watch the latest episode before some fool at work or on social media spoiled it for me.

Man, what an episode. Looking forward to the last two even more.

I'm guessing Walt wants to get payback for Hank's death, regardless of whether he finds out Jesse is cooking for them (but I'm sure he will).

Still not sure with the passing of time whether he will want to save or kill Jesse when they inevitably meet.

I agree with the above theory that Jesse helps Todd cook and the nazis don't kill him. I think Walt will try to come back and finish off Jesse but I have a feeling that Jesse will win the showdown, putting a close to Walt's madness.

Next episode is called Granite State, which is NH. This brings us back to the scene in the restaurant where he has a NH ID. Looks like the next episode will be in the future and then the season finale, brings us to a Walt versus Jesse showdown.

I have a feeling that Jesse will end up getting killed with the ricin or he will kill himself after Walt told him that he saw Jane die.

Walt keeps taking half measures when it concerns Jesse. He should have listened to guys Saul and Skyler and killed Jesse. Not killing Jesse led to hank getting killed, Flynn finding out the truth and ultimately losing his family. He should have had Jesse killed in the desert, but since he didn't, it looks like they Nazis are just going to use him to produce blue meth, thus taking away his empire/legacy. Walt has nothing left, he lost a majority of his money (although $11M is no chump change, it would be very difficult to be able to give the money to his family with the DEA and police involved), his family and perhaps his pride.

Wow. That was an emotional drain and that hour passed in what seemed like 5 minutes. By far, that was the most traumatic episode on the viewers feelings and emotions.

I was afraid during the knife scene that Walt was going to kill Skyler, in front of Flynn, probably by accident, as they wrestled for it. Then Walt would likely have had to finish things off (Flynn) to protect himself. I'm glad it didn't turn out that way.

Of all the horrible things Walt has done, at least, one thing, he did right and that was to drop Holly off at the fire station.
