The UK Apple website is now stating "4 days" to ship a standard configuration 24" iMac. So what I want to know is, does this mean that the refresh is coming within a couple of weeks? If that?!
This is surely a big giveaway!!!
***UPDATE:
It's 4 day shipping throughout Europe for the 24" iMac. Australia, Korea, US all still shipping within 24 hours.
It's going to be July 24th:
1) Intel drops its prices on the 22nd.
2) $100 off your printer with a macdeal ends the 23rd.
3) Discount on .Macpromo ends the 23rd.
4) Best buy coupon off iPods deal ends the 23rd.
5) There is sufficient time after iPhone to prevent interference.
6) There is sufficient time before school to get back to school sales.
7) Several ofs products will have newly set records for longest time between updates by then, particularly the iMac (which means we're getting something good; the previous record for iMac was set before they introduced the G5 iMac).
8) Several stores are running out ofproducts.
And lastly....
8) July 24th is a Tuesday.usually releases on Tuesday or Wednesday.

cyberport.de in Germany (online reseller) states for most iMac configurations
"delivery after July, 26th"
mmmm....
Well, July 24th may only be the U.S. date, or an announce date with shipment starting in a few days. There's a British deal that ends the 30th, for example. Also, Apple wouldn't want to interfere with an iPhone launch outside of the states, if one is soon. (Canada comes to mind.)
Since I live in the states, though, I don't have to worry about that. I want a new mac that works (unlike my old one w/ Mac OS 9 and dead keyboard.)
And that's why I'll be keeping my G4 Powerbook whose portability is currently wasted as it's usually tied to my desk by an ethernet cable, power cable, keyboard USB, Wacom pad USB, hard drive firewire and DVI cable......not everyone wants to be confined to a desktop.

I hope you are right, but Intel is dropping their DESKTOP processors on July 22nd. As we all know the current iMac uses the MOBILE line of processors. So unless Apple's new design includes the switch to much less expensive DESKTOP internals, that date isn't significant for a new iMac.
According to this article, MOBILE processors will see a September price cut.

90-105 W TDP, ouch,I think we will see a Intel Core 2 Quad in at least the 24" iMac. Of course, just a guess.
No wai
"*Buy a qualifying Mac and iPod from Apple or a participating Apple Authorized Campus Store from June 5, 2007, through September 16, 2007, and receive a mail-in rebate up to $199, except where otherwise required by state law. Terms and conditions apply. Not all Apple products subject to education discount.".
iMac is comming in october with leopard![]()
Wow... that was the best prediction that I have ever read. You could just possibly be right!

The difference from the offer in past years is that Mac models numbers aren't listed only which Macs themselves.Makes me think the iPod update will come in September, and/OR the new macs will not be qualifying macs.
Desktop processors in an enclosure as diminutive as the iMac's, or even smaller if the speculation about new designs is true??? Hmmm...Makes me think the iPod update will come in September, and/OR the new macs will not be qualifying macs.
Thank you, I've thought it out.
Probably means iMac will finally have desktop power.
Probably means iMac will finally have desktop power. The laptops and mac mini will possibly see an update then though.
this is ALL i really want from the new iMacs, and desktop RAM too
