For the love of all things sane please get rid of the assist aim bull.

Bless

HOLY **** YES.

The assist aim is such ****ing ******** i can't stand it, you can spot guys so easily with it and when you are sniping, holding breath bla bla, just about to shoot and then someone sprints through the crosshair and your aim gets off.

I hope this is as good or better than the first. If it's anything like WaW I'm not going to bother picking up my pre-order. The only reason I don't trade WaW in is because of Nazi Zombies. Heheheh.

But I'm sure it will be mega epic :D

COD 4. HELP~~~
I'm stuck behind the ferris wheel and can't get out! I'm getting KILLED before the extraction helicopter arrives.

HELP!!!!!

you gotta be quicker as a sniper, watch from the right as they come up close, popping away at you and chuckin the odd grenade in your direction, and keep your nut down, you'll get the old heli come in for you once you done enough work ;),
it's no different on hard as it was on normal, i found :)

I am glad they dropped the Call of Duty tag because to me Call of Duty meant the draft and the necessity of driving Hitler out of Europe. Its about the ordinary man in the street being called upon to risk his neck for a higher purpose. Modern armies are professionals, they chose to be soldiers. they didn't answer any call of duty. Not to mention the questionable nature of the conflicts they fight in.

World War 2 games are my preference because I find the old weapons more satisfying to use. Picking off enemies with a bolt action takes more skill than spraying and praying with an auto. Of course this has its place, but the modern guns all allow you to spray and pray unless they're sniper rifles, in which case they have a scope which is cheating. I also find it ridiculous just how many guns they include and how much delight they take in making them "realistic". Its like a big gun catalogue and I'm expected to drool as I pick which one I want to buy.

Who am I kidding though I'll still get the game just because there aren't so many great games for the PC any more.

They didn't. Check out the box art for the vanilla edition of MW2. It says Call of Duty above it.

I can't find any pictures except ones that say "Box Art not Final", and those don't have Call of Duty on them. Do you have a link to a finished one? I am pretty sure they made a point of dropping the Call of Duty name, although of course all the online shops are listing it as Call of Duty.

This entire thing is completely confusing. Wouldn't the idealism of answering a 'call of duty' be more akin to voluntarily joining the military rather than being forced to join? CoD WW2 games have scopes, high-capacity submachine guns designed for spray 'n pray, acurately detailed weapons and is selecting which WW2 era weapon you want to kill someone with any different than selecting which modern day weapon you want to kill someone with?

It is going to be a great game and will surely buy hardened maybe prestige for the 360 and might pick up a copy for PC to play with some of my other buddies and can't wait for it.

We are cheaters.

:D

Game looks incredible.

Unlike others though, I am keeping my expectations realistic as I see some (not here) are just expecting WAY too much both in terms of the length of the game, graphics, etc....

It will be a solid upgrade but I am not sure it will be a huge one that takes leaps and bounds ahead

I want it but if it A: Doesn't come to Mac and B: Doesn't work on PPC I wont be getting it most likely. I can't stand a controller for FPS's, I need a mouse, even with Marathon Durandle and Doom. We know it wont come to PPC so yea, its a definately I'm not sure. Don't think it would be worth to get on consoles.

I'm unfortunate enough to be too poor to get a PC gaming machine. Even low end $400 machine that I would build myself.

$150.. pre-order
http://www.amazon.com/Call-Duty-Mod..._1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1247686097&sr=8-1

but will they make a mac version??? i dont see they did why not?

They don't make Mac versions. Other companies that are specialized in producing Mac versions of PC games will do the Mac versions of COD games. Aspyr is the most popular and they did the COD4:mac. So they probably will do the COD6:mac version.

Sighs, 65$ for this game preordered at Amazon with same day delivery service.

If you have an Intel Mac, it makes more sense just to obtain a copy of Windows and run it via Boot Camp. Then you can play any Windows game. Mac ports of Windows games usually don't run as well anyway.

It is your patriotic duty to defend your country, as such, when it enters war, you are drafted to the army by the "call of duty".

People in general are multi-lateral as opposed to the clearly defined blocs that existed in WWII and the Cold War, therefore motivations to join the army, especially in the wars that take place nowadays, are less patriotic and more driven by other interests.
