I am glad they dropped the Call of Duty tag because to me Call of Duty meant the draft and the necessity of driving Hitler out of Europe. Its about the ordinary man in the street being called upon to risk his neck for a higher purpose. Modern armies are professionals, they chose to be soldiers. they didn't answer any call of duty. Not to mention the questionable nature of the conflicts they fight in.
World War 2 games are my preference because I find the old weapons more satisfying to use. Picking off enemies with a bolt action takes more skill than spraying and praying with an auto. Of course this has its place, but the modern guns all allow you to spray and pray unless they're sniper rifles, in which case they have a scope which is cheating. I also find it ridiculous just how many guns they include and how much delight they take in making them "realistic". Its like a big gun catalogue and I'm expected to drool as I pick which one I want to buy.
