Feature comparison. The general suspicion is that this move by IW is meant to benefit them at the expense of part of their customer base. We'll see how it turns out, but it's hard to imagine how the changes imposed by IWNet will end up being better for the PC gamer than the standard client/server paradigm used by virtually every other PC game title now and for more than the last decade.

I thought the PC CoD4 only allowed up to 32 players, of course, I could have read that wrong (32 EACH team?).
It will support 64 slots, but you have to force it to do so. That can be done by changing the sv_maxclients line in the server .cfg file to set sv_maxclients "64".
You then have to change the command line string you use to launch the server to +set ui_maxclients "64".
You can't do that on any of the console games. Server mods not allowed. Another example of why PC gamers have no interest in the console paradigm.
rumors running around work is asda has it for £32 , sainsburys for £25 and tesco for £26 if bought with another full price game?

Sainsbury's are indeed selling it for £26 until the 15th, or rather still until stocks last. I was a bit blown away by that, I mean the RRP is £60! More than 50% off. Wow. There's going to be some monster queues tomorrow.
We bought Mario Galaxy from Sainsbury's the morning it was out for £23. They're a very good place to get games from.

My friend received his in the post this morning, along with the Night Vision goggles. He is playing it now, says that its intense (and thats just the multiplayer)
On the plus side it means that I can do some Uni work as the rest of the week is a right off!!!!

Ask him how high quality the NVGs are. Im thinking about getting the prestige (im close friends with the owner of the store, so even though i didnt reorder it, I can still get it) edition, however I dont want it if its a cheap plastic POS.

My copy came a day early, I got RROD 5 minutes in. Massive frustration is ensuing. I nearly decided to buy a new XBox instead of taking the warranty repair so I could play again sooner but common sense prevailed.
I got the last copy at one of the Sainsbury's stores selling it at midnight. Thought what the hell, I'm not *that* bothered - but if I'm going to buy it I don't wanna pay £50, so £26 seemed a damn good deal.
Was too tired to play it though, so as of this moment, it's been sitting at home for almost 11 hours.

Where is the games manual?! Its a whole four pages long! Theres a ton of new stuff going on in this game and nothing to explain it. Can they at least point me to a website that contains this information?
