is there any way to know what is in the whole frame of the picture? For Hipstamatic, what you see in the viewfinder is smaller than the entire picture being shot.

You can adjust it for precision shooting in the settings menu under your main settings app. It still looks small to me and doesn't display the entire shot. Maybe they'll modify this in a future update.

excellent thread

Photogene for Straight Photos

.

For cleaning up straight photographs, I like the Photogene
app. My standard routine for a typical photo is --

1. Crop
2. Sharpen a little. iPhone 4 pics are a bit soft.
3. Adjust levels
4. Save

Has anyone tried Cinema FX? I'll look around to see if there is a thread discussin it. Thanks.

I have Cinema FX and love it. It does take a long time to render, but unlike Reel Director (they're both from Nexvio), it seems like it renders in the background. That's nice since it takes forever to render. Still, it's a very nice tool.

I'd love to see a thread like this to discuss video apps!

Amazing how much fun it is to take pics now... Taking alot more pics now and just trying out different settings/filters.

Better on black.

This camera simply blows my mind sometimes. Shot in Camera+. Exported to iPad for processing in Filterstorm; none of the Camera+ filters gave it the right look while keeping the astonishingly sharp focus. (Photobucket may compress this a little, might not be as crisp)

For reference, that dragonfly was almost as long as the iPhone is tall. He was about a foot above my head, and the phone was about a handspan away from him. I tried a few times to use the image stabilization in Camera+, but it just wouldn't take the pic most of the time. The sharpest shot was handheld, no support and no IS.

I apologize deeply if this has already been discussed, but is anyone else having problems with camera+ locking up their phone? I've had it freeze up on me twice now, and I've had to force shut down my phone. (I have an iPhone 4, with IOS 4.0.1)

A couple more that interested me.

Couldn't fit this one on the last post, but I like the DofF on it.

I had this happen maybe once, but I didn't have to completely restart the phone, just the app. I've had more issues with Hipstamatic suddenly quitting to the home screen every 5-6 shots or so. Pretty annoying crash issues there.

well I tried camera+ and hipstamatic.Dunno if I can get used to that little viewfinder on hipstamatic but camera+ could be my new favourite.
Shot inside at my desk no lights on 3GS

Food pics.

Here are a couple of unrelated food pics. The sushi is from a restaurant in Oxnard, CA. The Veggies were from our BBQ dinner tonight.

Both were edited a tiny bit using Camera+
