Question about Camera+...

Is there not a free rotate function in there? Am I missing it?

I mostly use:
Tiltshift
MS Photoshop
ColorSplash
Pano(when applicable)

I'm trying to decide between Hipstamatic and Capture+ for my next photogrpahy app.
-Hipstamatic - I'm not too much into Retro style photos, but i've seen used in different ways and it's growing on me.
-Camera+ - I really don't know the benefit of the app yet...
Any suggestions ?

I would honestly get both. I have both, use both, and love both. They each have quirks, but are great at hat they can do. Camera plus a better default cam hands down, and the lightroom let's you do some nice things to give it an easy appeal boost. They both need some stability fixes as hipstamatic crashes for me every five-six photos. But I'm sure the updates will keep coming.

I also love to have both, Hipstamatic and Camera+. Hipstamatic for taking quick and surprising Lo-Fi shots. And Camera+ for its image editing capabilities, effects and beautiful interface.

Of course, many of those other imaging apps out there are nice, and the selection is immense, but in the end you have to make your choice between a few apps that deliver all you need without throwing yourself into too much of a confusion by installing tons of imaging apps.

As this thread has a clear focus to Camera+, my personal improvements wish list for this app would be:

• Select and import multiple images from camera roll into lightbox at once!
• Option to autosave original together with the edited image
• Remember last crop/filter/border setting for next image (like BestCamera)
• Batch edit multiple images with same crop/filter/border setting
• Undo last modifications step by step
• In edit mode, I'd love to have a green or blue "save" button (i tend to press the red delete button instead of saving just because it's so prominent)
• Remember location info and original date from original image when saving (this seem to be limited by Apple, not by the app, as someone has explained above)

I reported one bug to the developers: Images that are saved to Camera Roll are shown as dotted squares in iPhoto (Import however works).

I bought Camera + first a few days ago and think its great. My sister has hipstamatic and has sent me a few of her pics and they look amazing too. i ended up buying both and have no regrets. They compliment each other very, i'm sorry, i'm no help:D buy both if you can:)

Well with TrueHDR not working fully with IOS 4 i went in to the app store and found Pro HDR which works in the same way but has more controls over the image.

So heres one i made earlier, well 5 minutes ago.

North Yorkshire Moors Railways, iPhone 4 and Pro HDR

Wow, this came out great! Nice work

Here's the last one that I will post from my "painterly" series since I guess people here are not really too into these (shot using Hipstamtic, Camera+, Pic Grunger):

And a couple more just straight-ahead traditional photos from when I first got Hipstamatic:

Well i just found Pro HDR in the app store. I am going to give it a good work out this weekend. It works like the others where you take a light and dark picture. Once its processed it it gives you a preview and you can tweak the Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Warmth. This means you can get it just right.

I own a Canon 7D DSLR and I found myself using my iPhone for pretty much 95% of things. The camera is just really nice and being able to edit the photos quickly and share them right from the phone on Twitter, Flickr, and Facebook makes it even more valuable to me. Chase Jarvis has said "The best camera is the the camera that is with you" and with the iPhone being so portable I believe this to be true.

Here is a shameless plug to my iPhone photos (aka iPhoneography):

While I do like many of the apps listed in this post my favorite apps are CrossProcess, PictureShow and ShakeItPhoto.

OMG double rainbow all the way
