WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CAMERA APP

I'm up to $6-8 bucks with Hipstamatic...I actually lost count... but add-on B&W frames are amazing..I was not happy with the stock lense or frames. It's totally worth it if you spend the $8 bucks on the addon frames.

I agree, I lost count also! haha. but the stock features just wasn't cutting it. I needed the full range of options. After a few days of using Hipstamatic its too bad they didn't include more options but hey everyone needs to make $ and personally I felt it was worth the extra $.

I'm just shocked I'm using the i4 cam more than my Leica right now.

I use regular Camera for photos. I haven't seen the value in editing directly on the iPhone. If I were to edit my iPhone photos at all, I would do it on the desktop with Aperture.

Don't take this the wrong way but, If you can't see the "value" of editing directly on the iPhone, well... not everybody carries their desktop with Aperture around in their pockets! ;) The iPhone 4 coupled with all of these great photo apps equals one of the most powerful, instant-on-the-spot, photojournalist/blogging tools ever, imho.

Anyway, for those of you using Hipstamtic I thought it would be kind of interesting to do a lens comparison to see what effect each lens actually gives, so using the Pistil film, I did this comparison test:

hipstamatic_lens_test.jpg

(I may do this for each film type as well if any one is curious, and if I have the time.)

Great comparisons! I thought I wouldn't like the Helga and Lucifer lens, so I held off of buying them. Those look great though.

Hard to aim

Hey guys I'm just recently bought hipstamatic for my iPhone 4 but is it me or its hard to aim with this app?

I'm having trouble getting the shot angle and frame i want because what shows up in the hole doesn't match the picture I take...it maybe my unsteady hands but I just want to confirm lol

anybody else having troubles?

Try going into your settings, scrolling down until you see the Hipstamatic tab, and using Precision Framing as the Viewfinder Mode.

I have a problem though. I loaded a 2560*1920 (taken with my P&S) pic and when I save edited result, image is only 426*319.

A pic took with the phone kept it's 2048*1536 (still using a 3GS) size though...

Can't beat Pano for a stadium shot.

I like to use Photogene to auto-correct the colors, it always makes them more vibrant, especially outdoors.

Night/Inside shots with iPhone 4

Dark images with an iPhone 4. There is noise but I use TiltShift to get rid of those noise to make the photos come out more high quality looking.

TiltShift is one of my favorite apps. It always makes my photos come out great.

Other iPhone 4 photos is on my Flickr account if you want to check others out.

Hipstamatic Variations?

I wonder if there is a site out there or if anyone would be willing to show examples of different combos (lens, film, flash). Like really cool pictures showing what Combo A does, etc... genshi started to do that...

I find myself using Hipstamatic a lot more than Camera+ right now. Although I still feel Camera+ is the app to go to if you are going to take pics w/o effects/filters.

My Leica has been put away, this is nuts, haha

Sorry, I just haven't had time to continue with my comparisons. There is a site that does a completely thorough comparison of every combination of lens/film/flash, but it's almost overwhelming (not necessarily in bad why, but it is why I had started my own simplified version... now I appreciate the work they put into their guide!)

Check out Photojojo's Ultimate Hipstamatic Guide.

And in the mean time, a few more pics that I took yesterday:

I'm just playing about with Tilt Shift Generator. Looking forward to using this in the future.

Very pleased with Pano

Took this picture from our hotel balcony with Pano during our Hawaii trip.

Taken with Camera+ of the only pretty thing to happen to me yesterday. (I live in Northern Virginia, where the weather hates people and trees.) It took several tries to get one that wasn't blurry, I'm a pretty shaky person.
