Greetings from your famous camper.

Hi everyone.

I have been following this post all night since the store closed. If you want to follow me, check the form here at this link.

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/940624/

In the meantime I'm going to address and answer a few things here.

1. I did not start this form. I simply originally started just camping out minding my own business until one the of MacRumors users came by to talk to me and invite me into the conversation.

2. I'm not doing this for attention. I'm doing because I'm a very committed and determined fan and enjoy it!

3. I mentioned I am disabled, but I never once every said anything about living on benefits. Quite frankly I don't believe thats anyone else's business except for me. However, I will tell you I have my own money in savings and will be paying with it then.

Pssst, here's something you'll never hear a doctor tell a disabled individual - go sit outside in ungodly hot temps for a week, on concrete, with no shower. Yes yes yes, everyone pointing out that this guy is an idiot are just trolls. We're trolling his right to be an attention whore. Wahh wahh wahhh

What have you done that makes you such a productive member of society? Hm? I have seen lots of your posts recently and you never seem to contribute anything to discussions. So outside of MacRumors, what do you do that makes you so much better than this guy?

I doubt he called the news and asked to be on it.

Does anyone on the boards disagree, that unless you're this guys personal neurologist, knowing his case completely, that you're not qualified to make any assertions about his condition?

I feel sorry for you, thinking your purpose in life is to come on an internet message board to judge others. You certainly are in no position to do so. I'm certain that if we knew the intimate details of your life, there would be plenty to critique you on.

I agree with you

Good luck man hope the weather stays nice!

I will be taking the day off work to receive mine from FedEx (hopefully).

So many hypocritical posters in this thread...

Don't you understand that you can't criticize someone for assuming something when you're doing the exact same thing? Saying "OMG DISABILITY FRAUD" is bad without knowing the facts, but saying "IT'S NOT DISABILITY FRAUD HE IS LEGITIMATELY DISABLED EVEN THOUGH I DON'T KNOW HIS PERSONAL SITUATION EITHER" is even worse.

Some assume the worst, some assume the best. Neither side knows what is necessarily "right."

The people, like myself, who are ridiculing the people attacking this guy, are NOT claiming to know the details of this guys condition, we're simply stating that he should NOT be judged by people who do not have the adequate knowledge to do so. Furthermore, we're suggesting that it's wrong to attack what someone chooses to do, when he's not hurting anyone, or breaking any moral or ethical laws. That's more of a neutral position, you have things badly mixed up.

How dare you, I am disabled! (Well, no but what difference does that make in this context?)

Frankly, get lost! You don't need to use bold text to make a point. Besides, I never went into speculations into the guy's condition. Whatever I said was based on facts listed in the article. You, on the other hand started some insulting personal speculations about things that you have no idea. I'm not speculating about your life, simply because I couldn't care less. You should do the same.

What I find most pathetic is that you moan about judging people while you are doing the same. You are just representing a dumb and soft approach that makes disabled people happy with feeling sorry for themselves. What disabled people need is purpose, opportunities, hope and tough love. Some of them COULD get their sorry ass up and find a meaningful work that involves sitting and waiting for a week in a tent! If not, then get a job as a museum attendant!

How ignorant you are: I am disabled and I get nothing from the government except a tax bill which I pay.

How ignorant YOU are! You cited my comment, yet failed to write anything that has any relation with what I wrote. One line for two long comments? It's not because your disability limits your actions, I hope.

I see what's happening here, you're attracted to the guy in the tent, and this is some paradoxical attempt to get him to let you sleep next to him, inside his tent for the next week.

Nice.. our taxes will pay for his iPhone?

Do you really pay that much in taxes, working at McDonald's anyways?

Then I'm not referring to you. I'm referring to quotes like this one from the first page or so (emphasis added):

That's not insensitive, that's ignorant. You don't know what he has to deal with, you just assume everyone can handle things, because you don't have empathy. Walk a mile in his shoes, buddy.

Anyway, he has a valid excuse, every else who lines up on the other hand...

I feel sorry for you. I do. I am only 22 and I feel like I have more common sense and compassion for others than you do, which is sad.

Wow...
I'm not sure which is more pathetic: the guy who camps in line for a
week prior to a phone launch or the embarrasing amount of forum
members so miserable in their own lives/worked up by the seemingly
harmless actions of another they chastise others in (what?) an attempt to make themselves feel better.

Turns out, this is an easy one. The latter are far more pathetic.

Seriously people, look at all the anger and bitterness about a guy camping in line for a phone. Does this not alarm anyone else but me? I mean, is he doing anything that remotely effect your individual life? Then what does it matter to you? Does some random guy in Texas camping in a line threaten your personal health/safety/well-being or that of your family and/or friends? If so, you have much larger issues than a random camper in Texas.

There's a good lesson here. Individuals need to stop putting so much
energy towards what others do with their lives and focus more on what is making them so miserable in their own lives.

Life is short. Try and have a little more fun, while you can.

Who knew this was a tech thread? ;)

He posted just a moment ago... why don't you read his explanaton. No, your tax dollars aren't paying for his iPhone, he's got money himself.

Mr. Wagoner, I'm sorry for the vast amount of ignorance on this board today. Enjoy your iPhone when you get it.

Who knew a guy camping in front of an Apple store could cause such heated discussion on a message board.

Get a life, people.

When you pitch a tent on the sidewalk in front of the Apple store a week prior to the release of a new iPhone, you don't have to call the news.

Guys shut up this whole freaking thread is gonna get deleted, just cause you bitch and moan isnt gonna make this guy go get a job.

Id bet most people would go on disability gladly if they could, so this guys true condition should be irrelevant anyway, you all should just up.

I'm with ya. I don't understand what kind of joy people get out of ripping on someone they haven't met on a message board.

He already had to deal with the trash from the other thread. Looks like most of that trash has moved over to this thread. Nice.

Ignore it. I am sure half these people are just jealous, unhappy people that feel they need to project that onto everyone else.

Keep your posts going in the other thread. You have lots of support :)

And for all you rational, intelligent people on the forum, I'm sorry for the vast amount of ignorance tbobmccoy has displayed. Carry on.
