Wow, that is fast this year! I pre-ordered a Blue 256GB Pro Max. Delivery date is 19th, mine also moved to "Preparing to ship" 
. Hopefuly UPS won't drop the ball again this year. Last year, they missed the Friday AND the Monday and I got it only Tuesday !!!
My Watch Ultra 3 (black) that I ordered right after the keynote says it will arrive Sept. 22nd... it is also "Preparing to ship" status.

I really want to order the 17 pro max and upgrade from my 14 PM but I really like to wait a bit for reviews and make sure there's no major hiccups. Luckily I dont need to be a day one owner and experiment for myself as I rely on my phone for work as well. But hoping this is a great year for it and maybe jump on it during Black Friday
Interesting - mine says the 19th but is still processing. Possibly because it's lumped together with AirPods Pro 3 in the same order? I haven't seen the credit card charge come through either.
Is anyone else stuck on we've received your order who placed their order for pick up? I've received the email confirmation, but it hasn't moved to processing yet.
That's normal and nothing to be worried about. The Apple Store you are picking it up from does not have a single unit yet, no Apple Store in the world has received their stock. You have yours guaranteed, trust the process and do yourself a favour and never look at that order status again and just wait for your pickup email around this time next week.
Exiting stuff, this morning I got my order in right at 8:02am for a beautiful galaxy orange iPhone 17 pro max! Just checked and my order is also preparing to ship. I got a black techwoven case with it as well. Based on the early videos I think it's exactly the type of case I was looking for.
OK, that makes sense. Availability for the Pro was much, much better than for the Pro Max.
My launch day pickup order has moved to processing (base 17 512GB Sage), so I suspect yours will soon too if it hasn’t already.
Is your order for pick up? Mine is for pick up but I do not see any charges even though it's in processing.

Been that way for the last few launches from what I remember. Overnighted all across Canada.
I haven't seen any Canadian orders switch from Sept. 25 to Sept. 19 yet. Certainly not mine anyway.

As far as I can tell, every model of Pro and Pro Max is still available for pick up on Sept 19th or 20th at every GTA Apple Store, except Eaton Centre.
The 10 nearest stores for me in Toronto have exactly 0 Pro Max available for pickup in the 256 GB size. There was one in one silver briefly at one store available for pickup, but it has disappeared. However, I want orange anyway.
However, at the Eaton Centre I do see the 1 TB and 2 TB Pro Max available. It seems the most commonly available ones are Deep Blue.
No, never got an answer. I'll just give the Quick Transfer a try when the new phone gets here. If that isn't working I can convert the 14PM to ESim and then do the transfer.
