Can you please post the exact steps?

Kept selecting phone configuration and color until add to cart appeared. Then kept hitting add to cart until it worked.

Honestly don't think there's any trick involved. Just have to keep at it until you're "let in"

Curious to see initial sale numbers...

Good Night!

That was posted about a minute after I got my order placed, but I don't want to tempt fate. Will keep it in mind for next year, though :)

I made a reservation in case for some reason my shipping dates slip. There is no reason not to do both because you can just not show up to the reservation.

Canada iPhone 6 thread!

Got a 64gb gold iphone 6 and a 64gb Space gray 6+ both shipping on 9/19

I used the iPhone app... Took until 4AM ET to get one in the cart and ordered.

iPhone 6 64GB Space Grey with delivery 9/19-9/23.

I got in at 4:42AM...first launch. Terrible experience.

Anyways: iPhone 6 16GB Gold (for brother)
iPhone 6 64GB Space Gray (for myself)
iPhone 6 16GB Space Gray (for buddy)

Same here in terms of shipping quotes. When will we know when it's estimated delivery is?

So anyone see the contract prices here in Canada? They are absolutely ridiculous! Just went to look on Telus and this is what they are:

iPhone 6
16GB $265
64GB $375
128GB $485

iPhone 6 Plus
16GB $375
64GB $485
128GB $595

I'm just wondering how people can afford this now. That's crazy that a phone is nearly $700 with taxes on a two year plan. I honestly don't see the 6+ being moved much at all in Canada.

I just made a reservation - I put in my uncle's contact and email address but under my Apple ID. is that ok? Will he be able to pick up the phone as I put his name for contact?

Also is there anyway to check reservations/status? It's not in my orders.

Thanks

Add to that the insane plan prices that include data so you can even get the discount!

Yah same as OP, kept trying on the app till 3:30 or so and caught a break (interestingly my ISP went down from 2:45pm so had to tether from Wind network), it allowed met to add to cart with the 19/9 - 23/9 shipping for the Space Grey 6 Plus - very glitchy process, added two quickly and checked out. Got my order info mail and my credit card balance has gone down so I am confident everything has went through....unfortunately when I click order status on the web order number/through my account, I see "We're Sorry: Something went wrong with your request. Please try again later." but that is most likely because of the overwhelming number of orders that are still being processed I guess.

A serious cluster **** I must say. When I was reading ppl were buying it from ATT and Vorizon websites, my worry was it would reduce the Plus's already short supply and we on the north would pay the price....

This pissed me off, I got the 6 plus saying october 1-6 but it better ship on the 19th or I'm canceling.

Woke up at 3am, got the stupid msg from Apple, store will be right back. I went back to sleep and woke up at 6am to place my order. Took about 1 minute, expected delivery date is btwn 9/19-9/23.

Yes... it does that no matter what you try doing, including looking up past orders.

That's the worst part of all this... that I lost a lot of sleep for no reason. Only people looking for a 6+ had to scramble in the wee hours as it turns out.

I don't own an iOS device so wasn't able to order the phone.
I was able to "Reserve for pickup".
Just sent me an email back confirming what I had requested. Hopefully it actually is a proper reservation and they won't make up excuses when I get there.

well go buy a 6+ direct from apple for the price of a macbook air...subsidized price is pretty reasonable in all fairness compared to market retail

I have an iPhone 4S and I'm thinking of upgrading to the iPhone 6. I didn't know this was possible, but apparently the Apple store will credit you for the trade-in?

https://www.apple.com/ca/retail/iphone/

It doesn't give any details and the fine print says that it might not be available in all Apple retail stores. Can anyone confirm if this is true, and what the going rate would be for a 4S in decent condition?

Thanks.

So I wasn't able to pre-order or reserve for pickup.

I spoke to an Apple rep yesterday to ask how to reserve an iPhone in store and he told me that you had to add the items to your cart and then during checkout you would select "pick up in store" as a shipping option and you would have to pay for it online. That obviously wasn't true because that option didn't exist once I finally got the site to load at 5:30am and when I realized there was a separate page for reserving in store, all the stores around were sold out (6 Plus, 64GB). I specifically asked the rep if there would be a separate page and he said no. Pretty pissed at him right now.

Hopefully the stores will have extra stock above the reservation stock for people waiting in line.

Sharing the grief

Just sharing the grief:

I couldn't access the CA store until earlier this morning (trying from 3am ET). I then read here on the forum that people had success using the Apple Store on their iPhones or iPads and I a) remembered I had the same issues when ordering the iPhone 5 two years ago and b) tried the Apple Store on my iPad.

Initially it showed not available for iPhone 6, 64GB, grey but at about 3:40ish it showed up and I could click the purchase button to put it in the basket. However, after circling I got repeatedly a message stating that something was wrong. Long story short: I tried it over and over again and eventually (3:50ish I think) I ended up in the basket where I had 3 instead of 1 phone! I changed the quantity and finally could check out and received the order confirmation within 1 minute.

Of course I classify this as a typical first world problem (Oh my God, I can't pre order my phone within the first 10 minutes!), but I have to say that I would have expected Apple to be better prepared this time!

Hey ho, should receive the phone next Friday.

So i didn't pre-order, nor did i reserve it because of the error "We’re sorry, but this service is currently unavailable. Please try again later."

The nearest Apple store (it's an average mall-sized one) says that everything is unavailable for reserve and pick-up.
What are the chances that i'll get the 64GB iPhone 6 Plus space grey (unlocked) if i stand in the line?

Will there be any stock for that model that hasn't been pre-ordered or reserved?

How many of you guys are lining up for it? And what time on the 19th would you start?
