Any chance anyone that has Nov 3rd for a delivery date also has $0 charges on their card, or were all of you charged already?
 
Order placed, but the app opened the store late. Tried to do store pick up but it sold out quick. By the time I went through the process I missed the first shipment. :(

I had 3 devices on the pre-order page and my sister at her place waiting for 12:01.

The freaking site on safari and pc chrome apple store and the app on iphone ALL wouldnt work. Finally at 12:10 it popped up. I ordered for delivery cause im an idiot and didn't go for pick up , i got 1 256gb one and my sister a 256 gb one and they both said 2 to 3 weeks. Is that a for sure thing? I cant understand why my site didnt work
 
I wonder if it's our carrier internet backbone that screwed us. (I'm on Fido - so Rogers infrastructure) - either of my i-devices were getting through. One was on cellular, one on my home wifi. (that was with the App).

Maybe the Americans do have an advantage...maybe there's more servers allocated for the US (that'd be a pretty crappy thing for Apple to do) - it really should be load balanced across NA.

Don't do anything rash. Wait. You can always cancel or return it later.

Apple's really changed things with this launch. It was one big bucket before. It appears that the carriers and Best Buy have their own allocations. (checked on Best Buy after I ordered and they were still showing Nov 3rd, but you had to order on a carrier contract - no unlocked phones).
 
I fell victim to the “need to reverify my information”. Saw November 3 when I initially had the item to add to my cart but that changed when it got added and I had to reverify my information.

I find it interesting that Canada jumped from November 3 to the 2-3 week timeframe when the USA had November 10-17 dates for delivery. I’m banking allocation here was launch day/2-3 weeks to ship.

Never know what will happen but at least people have time for buyers remorse to cancel.

We've seen a lot of people have the app mess up and not let them into the store until several minutes after the start. I'm thinking Apple's Inktomi web caching servers screwed up and were still giving us a cached version of the store (when they should have been letting us through). Hence why the web store opened sooner for a lot of us (they go to different groupings of servers).

Cheeses me off as I had the app all setup....I would have had a 3rd delivery for sure if that wouldn't have happened!!!

yeah they made me re verify my freaking address and took 10 min to get into site. Did it to both of us in different locations with me being on shaw and her telus. I should have used LTE , im so stupid. So i can return it or cancel it later? wouldnt my visa company want its money though?

It shouldn't actually get charged to your card until the status of your order changes to "Preparing for Shipment" - at least, that was the case in the past. You can cancel the order up until that point.
And, even if you get your card charged, you can return it to the store and they'll reverse the charge on your card...long before you have to pay it.
 
Got a Nov 3rd delivery date with the conf. email at 3:05am. 256gb Black.

I got in first on LTE through Bell, my rogers cable didn't kick in till minutes later.

Website finally worked at 3:06. Got an order for nov 3 using Apple Pay literally seconds before they went to 2-3 weeks.

Anyone do reservation for in store pickup? I saw Rene Ritchie do it. But I don’t see that available anywhere.

I had the option when I first started selecting for Apple Masonville in London. But as soon as it hit 2-3 weeks it was gone.

Got in at 3:02 with Apple Store app/Apple Pay and iPhone on Cellular. Got confirmation for 256GBSG delivery on 3/11. Woke up this morning with email from Apple that CC was declined. Switched CC to another one. Then got email from bank to call and confirm that purchase wasn't fraud. Everything is now cleared up.
I checked pending transactions on both CCs and Apple Store has an entry with a $0.00 value. I guess that is what triggered the decline and fraud alert. Suspicious activity early in the morning.

So far my order shows as "Order In Process"

I ordered 256GB Space Grey IPX from App Store and got Nov 3rd delivery. About 10min later I received a notification saying my Apple Pay payment was declined. Then I got an email from Apple saying they were having problems with my payment and I needed to correct it. Thankfully apple is super cool and don't cancel the order on you immediately and give you some time to correct things. So I called Visa and was told that I should not have selected Apple Pay at check out because there is a limit and I needed to select credit card payment instead. I then went to the Apple Store online and corrected things. All went through and now my order status is "Order In Progress" still with November 3rd delivery.

Does anyone know what the Apple Pay purchase limit is? If so, is there a way to increase it?

As I'm sure you can imagine I wanted to throw up when I read the notification saying payment was declined.

Yep had the same problem. See my previous message.
I used Apple Pay and got the same email from Apple. I had to go to the web site and input another CC.

Yeah stupid me I was focusing more on the app (basically due to all the threads in here that said make sure you use the app it is faster lol) I refreshed my Mac and it was up. I had Nov 3 when I put my phone in the cart built for some reason I had to put in all the shipping info again.

At checkout it was 2-3 weeks

I suspect Canada had quite a bit less stock allocated to it as opposed to other places.

Ah well. The site is up to a 5-6 week waiting period now. Crazy

Just got a call from the CC fraud department for the card that declined the Apple Pay transaction. It was flagged by their system as possible fraud.

What is it with these CC companies that purchasing an iPhone for over $2000 in the middle of the night is seen a suspicious!

Wait, come to think of it buying a cell phone for that kind of money at 3:00am is suspicious. Ok don't tell my wife about this. Shsss
 
Responded to several other threads but I ordered at 3:07ET and have 2-3 week delivery.

Damn, I got in at 3:06 and got the order completed while it was still 3:06 and got Nov 3. Immediately after I saw it go to 2-3 week.

I had a few friends I was chatting with on iMessage at the time. None of them could get the site or app to load until 3:07/3:08 and they both got 2-3 weeks. I think now they plan to monitor the daily reserve for in store pickup once it's live.
 
As others have said,I couldn’t order on the Apple Store App until 3:06 and then it still was asking me for my billing address,when I have already ordered a bunch of stuff through the App.I ended up finally being able to put my order in at 3:08 on the Apple Canada website and of coursse received
the Nov 21 to Nov 28 shipping date,I might just get up early on launch day and pick one up at my Apple store.
 
Both 64GB & 256GB reserved for in-store pickup. Received both confirmation emails @ 3:02am.

My iPhone and PC would not load the Apple Store app or Apple.ca till almost 3:10. My wife’s iPhone 8 loaded the Apple Store app at 3:01.
