As others have said,I couldn’t order on the Apple Store App until 3:06 and then it still was asking me for my billing address, when I have already ordered a bunch of stuff through the App.I ended up finally being able to put my order in at 3:08 on the Apple Canada website and of coursse received
the Nov 21 to Nov 28 shipping date,I might just get up early on launch day and pick one up at my Apple store.
The lineup will be stupid. Here's the really crazy thing - the one here in Waterloo, you can't line up outside of - it's in a mall. So, guessing that means there's a stampede once they open the mall doors???

Yeah stupid me I was focusing more on the app (basically due to all the threads in here that said make sure you use the app it is faster lol) I refreshed my Mac and it was up. I had Nov 3 when I put my phone in the cart built for some reason I had to put in all the shipping info again.

At checkout it was 2-3 weeks

I suspect Canada had quite a bit less stock allocated to it as opposed to other places.

Ah well. The site is up to a 5-6 week waiting period now. Crazy
Same thing happened to me, except i got an immediate confirmation of Nov 3rd, but when the email came it said 2-3 weeks.

Both 64GB & 256GB reserved for in-store pickup. Received both confirmation emails @ 3:02am.

My iPhone and PC would not load the Apple Store app or Apple.ca till almost 3:10. My wife’s iPhone 8 loaded the Apple Store app at 3:01.

Nice call using your wife's iPhone.

So in store pickup was an option very early. When I got in I didn't see it anywhere.

Usually they line up somewhere outside the mall like we use to do in Burlington at Mapleview. Then they take small groups in to create the line inside the mall in the AM.

It pops down from the top when you select pre-order. It’s tiny writing and I honestly missed it last year for the 7 Plus.

The Apple Store close to me is in burlington at Mapleview Mall. Every year the mall has been opened pretty early and a line forms inside. And few times I've been there very early a line forms outside the entrance closest to the the store. Always been pretty orderly.

Yep,it looks like people in Canada were able to order quickly though there IPhone. Was that through wifi or LTE on your wife’s iPhone?

Has anyone else run into this scenario?

I ordered 256GB Space Grey IPX from App Store and got Nov 3rd delivery. About 10min later I received a notification saying my Apple Pay payment was declined. Then I got an email from Apple saying they were having problems with my payment and I needed to correct it. Thankfully apple is super cool and don't cancel the order on you immediately and give you some time to correct things. So I called Visa and was told that I should not have selected Apple Pay at check out because there is a limit and I needed to select credit card payment instead. I then went to the Apple Store online and corrected things. All went through and now my order status is "Order In Progress" still with November 3rd delivery.

Does anyone know what the Apple Pay purchase limit is? If so, is there a way to increase it?

As I'm sure you can imagine I wanted to throw up when I read the notification saying payment was declined.

I got an email and a text from Apple about authorization issue with my CC. Called the CC company and they unblocked the transaction. Followed Apple's instruction to reauthorized while the CC agent is on the phone and everything is cleared up. She confirmed to me that Apple resent the authorization and she approved it right away. So definitely call you CC company to authorize the transaction from Apple and reauthorize your card following Apple's instruction. Now patiently waiting for Nov 3 to come...woohoo!

Yes! I remember that in the past few years too. I was trying that but it showed zero availability at all stores. May have been that those ones went quick. It just confused me at the time as I saw people who had grabbed reservations, but at the same time I thought it was odd that there was absolutely none available at any stores at 3:07/08.

We have probably been in the same line together in past years LoL

Hah! My favourite line (by favourite I mean the worst) was at Square One in 2010 for the iPhone 4. Lined up early, like 3-4am, store opened at 8, and systems for carrier upgrades were taking forever. Not a massive line in front of me, but didn't get into the store until 1pm. 2011 is when the store opened in Mapleview from what I remember.

I have been going to Mapleview since the 4S I believe. I have my two in-store pickups at Mapleview for 5pm on Friday :)

Nice. I remember the 4S launch there. Those were the good old days. Stuck lining up before we had online pre-orders or reservations in Canada.

No doubt! I think the 6 Plus @ Mapleview was my most dedicated wait :) I believe I got to Mapleview at 5pm the prior day! :/ Not something I’m proud of. But knew most of the people that were first in the line. I have done the in-store pickup since.

Anyone ordered the iphone x thru Telus or Bell? What kind of delivery dates did you get? Mine says shipped on nov 2nd and will take 1-5 days.

What time is the best time to line up in either Burlington or Square? and which doors are closest in the burlington apple store?

After reading your post, i tried ordering one through Rogers and got 3-5 business days. Not sure if that means 3-5 business days from Nov 3?

If your going to Mapleview. It would be the entrance nearest to The Bay on Maple Ave. I would most definitely line up before midnight.

Got in at 3:02 with Apple Store app/Apple Pay and iPhone on Cellular. Got confirmation for 256GBSG delivery on 3/11. Woke up this morning with email from Apple that CC was declined. Switched CC to another one. Then got email from bank to call and confirm that purchase wasn't fraud. Everything is now cleared up.
I checked pending transactions on both CCs and Apple Store has an entry with a $0.00 value. I guess that is what triggered the decline and fraud alert. Suspicious activity early in the morning.

So far my order shows as "Order In Process"

Alright

Yep had the same problem. See my previous message.
I used Apple Pay and got the same email from Apple. I had to go to the web site and input another CC.

Just got a call from the CC fraud department for the card that declined the Apple Pay transaction. It was flagged by their system as possible fraud.

What is it with these CC companies that purchasing an iPhone for over $2000 in the middle of the night is seen a suspicious!

Wait, come to think of it buying a cell phone for that kind of money at 3:00am is suspicious. Ok don't tell my wife about this. Shsss
Wow Just got another automated call from the CC fraud squad. Called them back and all is good. Either getting that warm feeling that I am well protected or am getting annoyed. Maybe I should have payed cash.
Still on track for a 3/11 delivery.

Other option will be the daily reservations that open 8am each day beginning Nov 4.
Exactly what I was going to mention. This is how I got my 7 Plus last year. Checked the reserve for in-store pickup on the morning of the 4th. They could have another shipment come in. I’d check through the night as well.

I remember doing this daily for the 6 Plus as well (was getting them for many family members and colleagues at the time).

Good that we have a few options at least.

Were you able to snag a iPhone X?

Yeah, was able to at 3:06 right as I finally got into the site for Nov 3 (app didn’t work for a long time, got into the website). Tried a second one immediately after for the wife and between main site and adding to cart the delivery jumped from Nov 3 to 2-3 weeks. Few friends of mine couldn’t get into the site or app at all for 5-10 minutes and got 2-3 weeks. Going to try helping them look for same day reservations when they open.
