I went onto the UPS website, tracked by reference, took my order number for my iPhone X (Delivers Nov 3rd), copied and pasted it, removed the last two numbers and it found me a tracking number... However, the destination is Houston, TX? I'm confused. I'm in Atlantic Canada. Is this tracking number not for my iPhone, but somehow has almost all the digits as a reference as my order number?

EDIT: Nevermind... Used the wrong order number... I ordered a case in a separate order and was using that one minus the two last digits. I'm still getting no results and "Preparing for Shipment" on Apple's website.

So what's the best option I can choose if I don't want to miss my delivery this friday. Knowing I wont be home before 3pm and my past 4 deliveries with UPS/Apple were after 3h40pm...

I do have UPS MyChoice... never explored the options on it... I was told the moment it shows up on my tracking I need to change it so it delivers to an UPS store for pickup? Would this affect delivery date?

Where do you live? I'll come wait for the UPS guy for a "nominal" fee ;)

Take this however you will. Seeing as my estimate never changed yet it’s now “shipped”, our phones could probably do the same.

Did anyone call their Apple Store and asked if they will have extra iPhone X for walk-ins at 8am on Nov 3?

I know I read an article on Macrumors saying Apple got iPhone X in stock at stores for launch day, but could it be US stores only?

Status of
iPhone X Leather Case - Black

has changed to shipped about half hour ago. I cannot track it yet.
The delivery has always been Nov 2.

Hopefully my iPhone X gets shipped tomorrow.

So I ordered a case and a X on different orders. My case has shipped and using that I figured out how to get track by ref working. You should use your phone number with country code, so a 1 for us. I used 1647xxxxxxx and my postal code with no space and was able to find my case tracking. No luck on the iPhone yet even though it went PFS already.

In Canada, phones have sometimes been shipped via FedEx, not UPS, so the reference #trick wouldn’t necessarily work.

That's kind of what I suspected. Our only hope would be if people cancel their order before it is shipped. However, I doubt that number of people doing that will be significant at all; this is because the people who have buyer's remorse can still keep the order and make a few hundred bucks at least by picking up the phone on launch day and immediately flipping it. Most people will do that since it's usually an easy, quick transaction and you get tax free money in your pocket. What this essentially means it our best chance of getting the phone earlier would be if Apple allocates more stock for Canada sooner (due to increased production for example). I just can't imagine the number of people who secured a Nov 3rd date delivery and subsequently cancelled their order can't be more than 100 or so.

You would be surprised. A few generations ago, I had not decided on colour by the time the pre-orders went live, so I just order both and cancelled one a few days later once I decided.

I ordered one from British Columbia. Delivery date is set to 3rd November but it's still in the "Preparing to Ship" stage.

Hope it updates to "Shipped" soon.

Anyone else?

The carrier from China is UPS. The delta we may see in this launch is that Apple's been getting shipments from Foxconn for a few weeks now, so has some supply in their distribution centres. They may choose to fulfill some orders with these units....and those may actually ship via Fedex. UPS is the main carrier for the launch and bringing the product from China.

Yeah don't stress. Vancouver her with Nov 3rd, PFS. I bought the 8+ when it came out and it went from PFS to Shipped to delivered the day before it was officially released. Don't sweat it if you don't see movement till Wednesday night.

Yeah... People forget that there are basically huge pallets of these coming over, but they won't update until they're on the truck locally - which should be Thursday night/early Friday morning, prolly.
