The UPS customer centre is only 15 minutes from my house. I might give them a call and try to hold it at the center. Last I used UPS for my order from Europe, UPS told me they have to make one attempt to deliver before I can make any changes.
Yeah, I've heard them say that before. Usually, if you're adamant with them, they'll cave and hold it there for you. Stress to them that you need to get it that morning....you could always fib and say that you're travelling, leaving later in the day.
Has anyone seen any stock show up throughout the day? I've been periodically checking but haven't seen anything.
Yes. It comes up throughout the day. I saw the one I want but I was too late because I enter in my password incorrectly a few times.
Anyone who's had a phone delivered that shipped from China, what was the tracking pattern like? Mine shipped Sunday night (as several others have also mentioned), but ETA lists Friday. It's currently in Incheon, Korea Wondering if there's any chance it might arrive to Vancouver sooner than Friday.
Not sure this works out west but in the GTA UPS is very inflexible and won't leave an iPhone at the door without signature even if you specifically ask them. They say it's Apple that has set this policy and they have to go along. For smaller stuff like a case or something they don't require a signature so they'll leave it. They have told me in the past that they have to attempt one delivery to your door. After that, I have had them go to the nearest UPS Store where I've picked it up. IF you want it on the 1st attempted delivery you'll most likely have to be there or have someone else be there and sign for it.

Reserved a Space Grey 256 in Vancouver. If I hadn't been sitting here at the computer there is no way I would have got it.

Oh crap my pre-order for 21-28 just now went preparing to ship.
I will be cancelling my Pacific Centre reservation at 11:30 so be on the look out for it.

The only way to receive it before they deliver it to your home is to have it held at the UPS Customer Centre. You can use their site to do a search to see where your closest CC is. You can then sign up with UPS My Choice or call them to have it held at the UPS CC rather than delivered to your home. That will allow you to grab it as soon as it arrives (provided they're open - check their hours before doing this).
The hub is where it's routed to before loaded onto a truck for delivery....you're saving them that last step.
I always call rather than using My Choice to hold it at the CC - to make sure there's no hiccups.

I had an Apple Case UPS “attempt deliver” yesterday. I was home but I digress. When the attempt delivery was not made the delivery was routed to a nearby UPS pickup location 4 hours later
Finally it's preparing to ship! Now I can stop checking every 10 minutes!!
Mine is at the same location. I'm wondering if it made today's flight leaving Korea for Anchorage... My tracking shows arrival in Incheon at 19:52 and Flightaware shows UPS099 departed at 23:15 local. *fingers crossed*
My order, made 10 minutes after the store opened, and which was scheduled for Nov 20 - Nov 27, has just now changed to preparing for shipment.
Nov 21-28, just changed to "Preparing for shipping" and estimated delivery of Nov. 14
Nope doesn't look like it. But that flight makes sense for us as after Anchorage the plane goes to Ontario, CA. From there UPS serves the west coast. All my packages usually come from there to Vancouver...
