iPhone 13 Pro Max Can’t decide 13 pro max or 13 pro!!

Same. 12PM & battery at 94%.. but seems like at 80%.
This was my experience as well. Even when the battery said 98 percent… I definitely had lost far more than 2 percent real world use. and it continued to get worse.

this year I went with the 13 PM, but I’m making a point to use a 5 watt brick when charging overnight. I’ll only fast charge when needed. We’ll see if it helps.

Guys I can’t get over how small the 13 pro feels compared to my Note 10 +

The 13 pro it’s super comfortable to hold and type but I realized I spend way too much time on Twitter and YouTube and the video text size is just way too small!!

do I just suck it up or return it for the max?

bte I’ve tried making the text bigger, but video and pictures remain tiny compared to what I’m used to. I don’t want to get an iPad just for this lol
I spent a lot more time last night and this morning playing with the 13 pro and being on social media more. I did finally notice IG photos seemed a little small, and one of the websites I access for work had text wrapping around which looked weird, but it’s SOOO worth the trade off for weight and form factor.

Part of me wished I had the max again but it’s probably because I’ve been used to such a big screen for years. Looks like my iPad will be getting more use now :)

Switched from pro Max to pro. Give the new pro has more battery than my 12 pro max I figured I can manage going all day with just the pro.

I love the portability of the pro size and I can do a lot more one handed.
Miss the larger screen but the reality is it doesn’t show that many more emails. I’ll def miss it for videos but I don’t watch a ton on my phone anymore.

I was hesitant about switching from 12 Pro to 13 Pro Max but, so glad I did. Love this bigger phone.

I did the same thing and have no regrets.

The 12 pro was already a pretty heavy phone and I was a little concerned what it would be like going with the pro max but I’ve found for me I can’t tell a perceptible difference in weight between my 12 pro and my new 13 pro max during normal usage.

The pro max is great!

I've decided to go for the max, after a lot of thinking. Now the the question is do I get graphite or Sierra blue 😂
I currently have the graphite and debating switching for sierra blue. I‘ve yet to open it and Apple doesn’t seem to have any in stock, unless they hold some back that they don’t show in online inventory?

Ask me again in a year. Going from the XS Max to 13 Pro. Ironically, the weight of the 13 Pro is about the same as my XS Max, so not much downsizing there. Even when using the 12 Pro in store and holding my 13 Pro case, it doesn’t really seem much smaller than my XS Max.

My XS Max is pretty comfortable for me most of the time, but when I was trying out the 12 Pro Max in store with no case, I couldn’t even reach my thumb across to the left side of the screen at the bottom without the phone slipping and almost falling out of my hand. The display is so immersive, but that phone is just too big for me. I knew I wanted to downsize a bit when I upgraded anyways, but with how big the Pro Max is now, it almost gave me no choice anyways.
Same here. Pulled the trigger on a 13 Pro, coming from an Xs Max. I’ll accept the small step back in playing games and watching movies over the portability and usability. Time will tell if it has been the right decision, but I have been playing with these considerations for a while and have decided to follow through.

Pro max definitely , I had an 8 plus that’s the same dimensions, somehow the 13 feels much lighter 😆 and the screen is incredible , battery life mind blowing and the camera‘s no slouch either , the speed too . ….. 🤩

I was adamant that I’ll be going for the mini phone this year, but I’ve made a u-turn and decided on the 13 Pro Max. Having the largest 120 Hz OLED panel Apple makes is the main reason why. I’m going to use it as my mobile consumption device, ahead of the iPad mini 6 I was planning on purchasing after hearing all of the complaints about that device, and my 1TB 11” iPad Pro with cellular will be for productivity tasks.

A minimal 2 device setup that will cater for all of my needs. From now on I will refuse to purchase an Apple device that doesn’t have ProMotion.

I also have an Apple Watch and AirPods Pro so that I can read notifications and answer/make calls without having to touch my iPhone.

The only reason I upgraded this year was to go from a 12 Pro Max to 13 Pro. The Max was just too big. Loved the larger screen, but it was a little cumbersome to handle everyday. Traded in my old phone and only had to pay $200 from the 13 Pro felt like it was worth it.

How is the battery life?

I did the same thing, reason being my phone wasn’t my main media consumption device anymore.

Battery life seems to be on par with the 12PM, but it is a new device so battery health is 100% right now. At the same time my usage has gone down due to the reason why I downsized…

Took my phone off the charger at 5am today. Currently (12:45pm) sitting at 60% with 4 hr screen on time.

I still haven't been able to see the phones in real life but holding my XS I really don't think I could hold a phone 7mm wider in comfort. I tend to hold my phone in one hand and type/operate it with the other but, though it doesn't sound like much, there isn't a spare 7mm to hold the 13 Pro Max in comfort (and that's without even considering the squarer edges). I don't have especially small hands for a woman but I am getting older and I guess the creakiness of impending arthritis is a factor (and one that will only get worse in the years to come, so getting a phone that is just about okay now would be likely to be a mistake).

I'm glad there's no compromise to be made over the camera by getting the smaller phone but I think I'm settled in the 13 Pro (unless I decide to hang on to my XS for another year or two but I think that's unlikely with the call of the better camera).

I advise you to feel and try it first on your own. Find a store without huge anti-theft brackets and try out these phones.
If we look at the datasheet, 13Pro is ever so slightly lighter than the 13Pro Max. Some people will even tell that 13PM feels better because of the weight distribution.
12Pro and 13Pro feels like a chunk of a brick. The most enjoyable to hold and use are 13/13mini models. 13Pro is heavy without real need behind that.

So the thing is that the most weight gain occurs when you jump from 13 to 13Pro. That difference is massive and huge. Difference between 13Pro and 13PM is much smaller than that.

The thing is it's not so much the weight as the size (both in my hand and my pocket). The Pro Max is just too big for me, I think. If I can, I'll get to a store and try them out but the Pro Max is 7mm wider than my XS and I don't have the spare hand space for that to work and the XS is already pushing the limit of available pocket space. The 13 is a non-starter as the whole point for me is to get the best camera I can in my pocket.

I’ve used max phones since xs max and been debating on going 13 pro for portability and one handed use. But I feel I will miss the max screen if I switch. What’s everyones thoughts and what are you guys getting?
when I upgraded last year I did 12PM. I have had the larger phones since they released. I had second thoughts on it and also purchased the 12 pro… the 12 pro went back. The portability is nice.. and by no means is the 12 pro small.. but it felt small after using the 12PM

The difference between a 13 and 13 Pro is 30g (barely over an ounce) - I'd hardly call that "massive and huge". That's almost not even noticeable.

The difference between the 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max is 36g - that's actually a bigger (not smaller) difference than between the 13 and 13 Pro, but still pretty insignificant.

My carrier/Network provider contacted me last week to inform me that my iPhone 13 pro max had been delayed and they’d try to deliver around the 5th of October. I’ve just checked the tracking status and it’s been updated. My iPhone 13 pro max will be here tomorrow. I can’t wait to check out the 120hz LTPO display and test the battery life.

I came from an 11PM but my 13PM seemed so large using the Apple silicone or leather cases. I got a Pitaka case and it’s so perfect!!! Exactly the comfort-level I was looking for. The case made all the difference for me.
