Thanks for the reply. I’m still undecided on wether to go for the 13 pro or the 13 pro max. I think the fact that I was in this exact same situation last year says something. I ordered the 12 pro last year, and I liked it, but I returned it after a week and had the 12 pro max. However, I was so torn between the two, that, even when I was packaging the 12 pro up ready to send back, and on the way to the post office I was still unsure if I’d made the right decision by having the max version.
And, all throughout the year I’ve been looking at the smaller 12 pro wondering if that would be better for me. The regular 12 pro felt like it was a natural extension of my hand when I held it. With the 12 pro max I can be out walking my dog, see a Robin or a hawk and when I go to take a photo my phone is nearly falling out of my hand. With the 12 pro I had for a week, I could pull it if my pocket and take a photo quickly and comfortably.
My mind is telling me to get the 13 pro. It would be more comfortable to use, easier to handle, I wouldn’t feel it digging into my leg when it’s in my jeans pocket, and, it would be much better for when I go jogging.
My heart, on the other hand is telling me to get the 13 pro max. Because the display is bigger so it’ll be more useful for watching videos, reading etc, kind of like my everything device as my 12 pro max is now. And, I do think that I would miss the bigger display. The question I’ve asked myself is: Would I get used to the 6.1inch display on the 13 pro. And, I honestly don’t know if I would or not. Then there’s the 120hz display that will look better on the max version, plus even better battery life than the 13 pro. And, longevity. I feel like the max version would age better. Better battery means less time charging, means the battery will age s bit better. And, I think we’re heading into a world where phones with bigger displays are the norm.
I have an iPad so I could use that at home, but I do appreciate the bigger display on the max version when I’m out and about. Whilst waiting for a train for example. If I’m waiting for a train, having the max version comes in very handy as a sort of mini iPad.
I’m genuinely torn between the 2.
