iPhone 13 Pro Max Can’t decide 13 pro max or 13 pro!!

Well….. I’ve decided to go with the 13 pro max. A friend of mine just came round for a chat, an he has the iPhone 12 Pro. So, I tried his phone out for 10 minutes. There’s no way I’d be able to get used to a screen that small after having the 12 pro max. My friends 12 pro looks really neat, but, for me that’s where it benefits end.

I’m definitely a pro max kinda guy. So, all I’ve got to decide on now is which colour iPhone 13 pro max to get. My 12 pro max is the graphite one so I’m tempted to go for the same colour. Because, in my eyes the 13 pro max is what the 12 pro max should have been. I’m currently looking to the silver/white one. I’m definitely going with the 13 pro max and getting the 256gb version. Silver/white or Graphite? I do like my graphite 12 pro max, I’m just starting to think that they graphite/grey might look kind of dull.

Has anyone else decided on which one to go for yet?

Since I always use a case I don't get so hung up on color. I definitely go overboard on cases. Apple could probably give the iPhone away and still make bank on accessories.

I went with the Graphite this time. I used to get Space Gray for all my iPhones but last time out I got the 11 Pro Max in Midnight Green and I like it. The Graphite is understated with just a hint of "premium." Feels like going home.

But this year, its enough. 12 pro silver 256. On order and getting delivered 24th.

its the closest thing to the Steve Jobs 4/4S.
The only real “classic” design available, and a nod to Steve.

if I need a bigger screen, it’ll force my lazy ass to finally get out of bed and use a computer. Win win

The things huge. Im 6ft3 with big hands and I consider it big. Each to their own

The Max absolutely weighs down shorts, especially basketball-type shorts. Running with one is a huge pain too! At the time I had the 11PM, I resorted to a fanny pack during exercise. Feel like it is too large to be comfortable on an armband for most people too. However, if you have an Apple Watch, particularly with Cellular, this is less of a concern.

I thought that might be a problem so I found some Lycra undershorts (Amazon) with a side pocket into which fits an iPhone Pro Max. The phone is snug to your thigh so it isn't an issue to jog or cycle.

Cancelled my preorder of the 13 Pro Max and decided to just go with the 13 Pro for in store pick up. Using my 12 Pro Max today reminded me how heavy and uncomfortable this thing is lol. I know I’ll miss the battery life and screen but at least my hands will be a little more comfortable, and I can always go back next year to the bigger size or return it within 14 days if I’m really missing the larger screen.

I went from a 6+ to a 7 to an 8+ then the X followed by XS Max and last year the 12 Pro. I like the size and weight of the smaller phones, but then I really miss the big screen and replace it with a larger phone the following year. I guess this is my year to return to the larger phone though I’m still not sure it’s the right choice for me.

Been holding off on trying the normal Pro the past few years but am forcing myself to do it this year considering the designs are the same as the 12PM lineup.

Canceled my 13PM for the 13P just now. Part of me is asking why I did that and if it’s the right choice but I’m gonna thug it out for the year

That's great! I am on the 12 Pro Max now and if I get a bit of improvement but with a more manageable size, that is such a big win. I have Apple's battery case just in case if I will go on a trip or something but this should be enough to get through a day without a problem.

If you want big screen, consider iPad it'll be way better than Max.

I was thinking about Pro Max too, but then I realized that if I'm on the move, I'd rather have a one-handed phone and at home or longer trips, etc I could just bring my iPad because Max screen is still too small when you think about it.

When I held my 12 pro max up right next to my friends 12 pro earlier I was surprised to see that the difference in size isn’t really that big. But, I did notice the weight difference. His 12 pro felt like a nice weight.

I have really small hands and I can barely hold my regular 11. The screen is huge to me and I do a lot of intense stuff like video editing on it.

For something that I hold in my hand for up to 8 hours a day, I need it to be comfortable. I want to be able to do most things one handed. I don't want my hand to hurt.

The last Max/Plus size I had was the 8Plus. I waited a while, and downsized when I went 11Pro. The screen is great, and I really like the ability to use one-handed. Of course it also fits better in my pocket. Trading in my 11 Pro on a 13 Pro next week! PS: I do have an iPad for web and books.

I've been ordering and canceling my order all weekend. On Friday afternoon I originally ordered the 13 blue Pro Max 256G but changed my mind after realizing that the delivery date was mid to late October. Later that day I decided to get the blue Pro 256G because there were no blue Pro Max near me and I didn't want to drive an hour away to get one. Later on that night I decided that I wanted the Pro Max and saw a blue Pro Max 512G near me but since my order was just put in and not processing, I couldn't cancel it.

Today in the morning checked it out and the Blue 512GB Pro Max was still there, so I cancel my previous order. I went ahead to order it and it was gone...... I decided to wait until noon and at noon still nothing so I decided to get the blue Pro 512GB because there was no 256GB near me.

A few hours later, curious as to see if anything changed, I check Apple again and the Blue Pro Max 512 GB was available and I quickly cancel my order and got it this time! I decided I wanted the Pro Max because I wanted the longer battery life even though I was not a fan of the huge size. The trade in also influenced me as I am for sure getting the 14 next year and was amaze at the $150 difference this year between the Pro Max and Pro.

I go to gym daily, and do outdoor jogging on weekends, the bulky size of the max is really bothersome occasionally. I just received the 11 I ordered for my parents today and the 6.1” size felt so perfect and the screen downsizing I can deal with, at least I think I can. Since I’m on IUP, 13 is always meant to be a stop gap phone until 14 launches. So if I can’t deal with the smaller screen I can switch next year.

when you use your 12 pro max do you ever notice a cramp in your hand/s more of a hand fatigue feeling?

Hopefully I can get on with the 13PM size, can always return for the pro should I feel it’s too big,
My other half to my hatred owns the S21 Ultra and that’s around the same size so will see I guess

Pro Max is life changing I swear. Since the 4s, I’ve always done the smaller iPhones. But with the 11 Pro Max in 2019, it was the first big iPhone. And I’m not going back. Love the big screen and big battery. 100% worth it and can’t wait for my 13 Pro Max!!!

I’ve used max phones since xs max and been debating on going 13 pro for portability and one handed use. But I feel I will miss the max screen if I switch. What’s everyones thoughts and what are you guys getting?

I think you will be ok with 13 pro : However just make sure you will not touch the Pro Max again, at Apple stores as well.
