I got another email from switcheasy

"It will fit, but It is not design to work with the new case. Hard to
take it in and out, but somehow still fits, we not recommending it.

Thank You

Zoltan"

He said it would fit so ima go for it :D

haha.let us know jprincesa how it is!...i ordered my arctic on saturday..shipped out today..hopefully get it by the end of the week.

i want the tiger too. Will use it until I get my vaja and to switch around with it depending on where i'm using my phone.

The colors work out well 'cause they're steelers colors!

Mine came in today.

Quality is pretty nice, though it doesn't want to fit with any screen protectors, even the supplied ones. So that kinda sucks.

I got my Arctic today.
I don't know yet.
At first, I loved it. I was just so happy to finally get my phone in a case; I felt protected. Then. I started noticing every little flaw. I didn't like that there were "air bubbles" on the back between the phone and the case. So I took it off and reapplied. It was worse the second time. And then, I took the whole thing off again to put the screen protectors on. The first attempt was valiant and yielding great results... But, of course, I found ONE little tiny piece of dust. I lifted the corner of the film to get the speck with a corner of a piece of paper. This lead to more dust and little lines where I had swiped the paper. I tried the second one and, in all my impatience, captured a lot of dust underneath the film. Ugh. I give up on protecting shields for the screen. Now. I'm just annoyed with the bubbles on the back. Maybe they'll work themselves out?...

Just got mine in today, fast shipping. Not to impressed with the case other than the price point, it is to slippery for me I'm gunna stick with my Incase silicon thing....wonder if I can return the case since I'm not happy with it? Sucks I could not tried it in a store; I would have known right away it wasnt for me.

let us know how it goes if you do try to return it simply due to being unsatisfied with it. I'm hoping to get my arctic one in the next day or so and after seeing the change on their site and seeing real life pictures, I'm thinking it'll look nothing like I originally thought from their apparently completely fake original images of it, and I don't know how happy I'm going to be with it either...

edit: wtf.. I got an email in the early morning of August 1 saying it had shipped, meaning it should have left at some point on Friday... I had checked the shipping page several times with no updates but decided to try again just now and it just says it was processed in San Francisco a little after 6pm... I guess it'll still be closer to the end of the week before I get it here on the east coast

My artic capsulerebel

I just got my arctic capsulerebel case yesterday and I was very pleased with the fit and finish. No saggy bottom on this one.

I did not like the color though. It has only been installed once and is in excellent condition. Send me a message.

Out of Stock

How long does it take for a case to ship if it's out of stock? I ordered the Skeleton yesterday, got an email this morning saying it was shipped. Got another email, after I sent a question asking about more stock, saying that they got a new shipment in today(this was yesterday). I looked today to see if the Skeleton was in stock, nope. Do you think mine shipped from the new stock they got in yesterday? I've read of people receiving an email that their case had shipped but a few days later, it was barely getting processed. Also, why are their email originating from Hong Kong?

thanks for the good high quality pics. the color doesn't look quite as bad here as what I've seen in others... but do you happen to have pics with the phone actually in the case?

when i saw the first pics of the Arctic case i thought it would be PERFECT for my black iphone and black based UniqueSkins. Now from the looks of things, the Arctic case is more milky than clear and the two dimples on the back would annoy me in the long run.

does look awesome on a white iphone.

yeah, switcheasy seriously sucks for completely making up an image to show us to get our hopes up originally. I had already placed my order by the time the truth came out, so we'll see what I think when I get it in my hands

Well I am thinking of ordering one of these and I emailed them and asked them about the sagging that some complained about and about the edges showing just a tad and he told me that they have it all straightened out... does anyone know if they do?

After having used the case for just over a week, I quite like it, but it has a few problems.

Peculiar to mine are a slightly loose bottom and slightly misaligned power connector protector. Emailed Switcheasy about the bottom, of course, going to see if I can't get it replaced because of that. Regarding the plug for the bottom connector, the rubber-like material doesn't appear to be bent or poorly cast, yet it bends its way out of the port within about 30 seconds of pushing it in. It's always on the same side, and makes its way out 2-3 millimeters. It's pretty annoying, and I always have an urge to push it back in whenever I take my phone out, even though it comes right back out.

These things are no big deal, though, as they seem to be exclusive to my particular case.

My biggest problem with the case seems to be more widespread, and that's with the included screen protectors. They're simply too big. They seem to have been made to cover the glass screen as well as the ~2mm portion of the bezel that is flush with the screen. As has been mentioned before, this causes the screen protector to get pushed away from the edges of the case once the plastic spine has been attached, forming bubbles around the screen protector.

Honestly, though, I'm more than willing to get another screen protector to use with this case if other protectors aren't designed like this one is. Can anyone confirm that the popular Power Support Crystal protector works with this case's tight fit?

As for usability, I like the protection the case offers. It has brought me to considering something like the Bodyguardz-style covers, though. Today, I took the Capsule Rebel off to clean it for the first time in a week and I certainly miss the slimmer, more ergonomic fit of the naked phone. For day-to-day use, I would happily sacrifice aesthetics for the protection this case offers, though.

So basically, if they really have cleared out their defective batches, the only real problems with the case are the included screen protectors, and I suspect most people will either buy their preferred brand, or simply go without.

So at this time you don't care for the case then and would rather try something different?

As far as Power Support Crystal they should work with any case..... I have cruised the internet wondering if these screen protectors are good or not and almost every time I have read about them this is what people are buying... the next thing you have to decide on is if you want the matt finish or glossy one....

I have the thread just for you, I was searching for this answer too since i have a power suport crystal protector from apple and it SEEMS to work great since the power support doesn't go all the way to the edge fo teh screen so it gives space for the rebel to hang on too

Thanks for the link. I think I'll order a set of the crystal protectors, then. Again, much appreciated. :)

Compared to the naked phone, no, I don't really care much for the case. The expansion of the depth and bezel make it slightly less ergonomic to hold and causes the face of the phone look a bit less elegant. But, for the protection it provides over a case like the Bodyguardz films, I'd gladly continue to use it in any environment where the phone could be physcially damaged due to bumping into something or whatnot. And, as a student, I think that's a pretty likely possibility. It certainly offers the best protection:attractiveness ratio of any other case I've seen.

Now, if I can just figure out how to contact "Zoltan" I'll be on my way to getting a case that isn't defective, haha -- Switcheasy was very prompt and curteous in replying to my inquiry, but didn't really give me any contact information . . .

"Pls return to us for exchange. Pls
contact Zoltan for exchange details."

I'm guessing it's the sezoltan email mentioned earlier in this thread. I'll give that a try.

Here is his email if you need it. He replies pretty quickly. sezoltan@gmail.com

AppleProStore were very nice dealing with my refund. As soon as they had my tracking number, they refunded me the whole cost as well as the postage I paid to send it back. As well as the case I received being defective, I decided at the same time that even had it not been, it wouldn't be for me. Although it looked the part, it was too slippery and the back had started gathering scratches the instant it came out the box.

Now what though... can't find a single other case that looks even half decent apart from the new iFrogz Red/Black one, but I'm not going to wait for Amazon's "1-2 months" expected shipping time.

Ordered the Arctic from Switcheasy yesterday, and my order was canceled this morning. Seems they are out of stock. They told me to keep checking the site, which still lists the Arctic as available. It's a little annoying.

Didnt work for me, had to take off the back

I have the invisibleshield on the back and powersupport film on the front. Case fits fine over these.

AH! Conflicting reports!!!

Smacky, what were you trying to put it over? Bodyguardz or another similar thing?

chrjohns, Did you have any problems with it? I have Bodyguards on mine (front and back) and it isn't as thick as the invisible shield stuff is...
