After having used the case for just over a week, I quite like it, but it has a few problems.
Peculiar to mine are a slightly loose bottom and slightly misaligned power connector protector. Emailed Switcheasy about the bottom, of course, going to see if I can't get it replaced because of that. Regarding the plug for the bottom connector, the rubber-like material doesn't appear to be bent or poorly cast, yet it bends its way out of the port within about 30 seconds of pushing it in. It's always on the same side, and makes its way out 2-3 millimeters. It's pretty annoying, and I always have an urge to push it back in whenever I take my phone out, even though it comes right back out.
These things are no big deal, though, as they seem to be exclusive to my particular case.
My biggest problem with the case seems to be more widespread, and that's with the included screen protectors. They're simply too big. They seem to have been made to cover the glass screen as well as the ~2mm portion of the bezel that is flush with the screen. As has been mentioned before, this causes the screen protector to get pushed away from the edges of the case once the plastic spine has been attached, forming bubbles around the screen protector.
Honestly, though, I'm more than willing to get another screen protector to use with this case if other protectors aren't designed like this one is. Can anyone confirm that the popular Power Support Crystal protector works with this case's tight fit?
As for usability, I like the protection the case offers. It has brought me to considering something like the Bodyguardz-style covers, though. Today, I took the Capsule Rebel off to clean it for the first time in a week and I certainly miss the slimmer, more ergonomic fit of the naked phone. For day-to-day use, I would happily sacrifice aesthetics for the protection this case offers, though.
So basically, if they really have cleared out their defective batches, the only real problems with the case are the included screen protectors, and I suspect most people will either buy their preferred brand, or simply go without.
