How is the included screen protector? Can it rival the quality of Power Support's crystal film?

From what I remember reading, the ones that are included are to big in lenth and width, so when the case is on it pushes the film and makes it not lay flat.

The power Support is PERFECT for this case, since it doesn't totally cover the screen. theirs at least a 1 or 2 mm of space around the edge of the glass screen where the power suppport doesn't reach, which gives the case area to grab on and not touch the screen portector at all.

I have a Powersupport on my phone at the moment its like it was cut exactly for the switcheasy rebel case as to not interfere with each other.

So anyone else who's had the case since release take it off recently and notice anything with the chrome bezel?

Small scratches or such?

With all these reports of other cases scratching the body...I think this is a valid concern and one that I hope more people will address regarding this case. So far, one user above touts no scratches after a week. That is good to know, but more input would be appreciated. I want to buy one of these cases and since you can't use it with an invisible shield on the back then I really need to know if I am causing more harm than good with this case. Thanks for everyone's input in advance.

Ordered mine on a saturday, recieved it the following friday.

My main disappointment is i got a shipment notice Sunday, but it didn't really ship until thursday. I'm near San Fransisco, so it only took a day to actually ship to me.

BUT, it's by far the nicest case on the market. But the screen protectors are absolute crap. They scratch up super super easy.

I've had mine for a bit over a week, and after just taking it off I see absolutely zero scratches whatsoever. The case is fantastic so long as you get one without the sagging bottom :p

This is the 4th different case I have tried and it is by far the best case I have found. I bought the white version. It is very solid and looks fantastic. I have no doubt that if I dropped this phone it would stand a very good chance of being protected. The mix of rubber and hard plastic makes it very easy to grip yet remarkably strong. It does not feel bulky at all, it feels just right. I fully recommend this case go any iPhone 3g user.

iphone ordered 8/4 shipped 8/11 so i just ordered me a black on black one..

looks like the best case for the money to me. i ordered a cheap leather case for $3.57 shipped direct from hong kong, but decided i'd rather get this one instead. i think it'll protect it much better not if, but when i drop my iphone. i'll post when i try it out

I'm thinking of getting this case, but I was just wondering. Does a black iPhone look weird in the white case?

How would it look any different from a white phone in a white case? The color of the iPhone is on the back, which is covered by the case and all iPhones have the same front.

Thanks to everyone in this thread...just purchased the white case for my black 16gb 3g iphone! What sold me is that there has been no reports of this case scratching the iphone...

I thought the white case would look weird because of the little holes which the black bits would show. :p

looks like it's to earlier to celebrate.

I pulled down the bottom portion of the case since theirs no support there just to look at the chrome portion. Looks like it scratched up the bottom part a bit.

I mean Im kinda anal about it....but I dunno dropping versus scratches lol. I'd rather go withnot case but the thought of dropping it out weighs the fact of it getting scratched up on the trim i guess.

Seriously, it's not a big deal. iPhone doesn't last for more than 2-3 years anyway and it's more than likely you'll have bought a new phone before that in any case. So basically, get over it. The phone will get scratched more or less no matter what you do, well unless you plan on keeping it in it's original packaging and not using the phone at all.

The fact is no case itself actually scratches the phone. Dust and debris find their way in between the phone and the edges of the case. During normal use the case will rub the dirt against the phone and cause minor surface scratches. This can happen with any case, made by any manufacturer.

The soft inner layer of the Capsule Rebel is very smooth and would not scratch the phone at all if you tried manually rubbing it against your phone to purposely scratch it.

Why can't Apple just make these iPhones out of Admantanium metal? That way, nutcases like us folks aren't going crazy finding the perfect case. :p

because then you wouldn't be as involved in your iphone, spending hours upon hours reading about cases to find the perfect one for your iphone

Got mine yesterday, black for black iPhone. I must say it is striking, I love it so far. I've slipped it on over an IS, and notice a very minimal bit of the aforementioned sag, and the scratches on the plastic, but neither is enough enough to worry about.

The phone feels much more secure now, and with the black/black color scheme, there is not a huge difference between this combination and the naked phone. I also love the thoughtfullness of SwitchEasy to put in all the extras, specifically the video stand.

Mine's done the same thing to my phone, but it was one with a loose bottom -- the bottom would move up and down as it rested in my pocket, exposing it to lint and whatnot, which would then get stuck between the phone and bezel, I'm sure, as it continued to move up and down.

Elsewhere, there are no problems. The other areas covering the bezel are well supported by the plastic ribbing, making them unable to move.

I'd have to go against the fact that "any case made by any manufacturer" can do this.

My Belkin Remix case by belkin for my ipod touch has not put ONE scratch on ANY part of that point from being in my pocket, or throw around bags and such.

Everytime I open up the case unlike any hard case or silicone case there is not one scratch anywhere. So it is possible for once case not to scratch anything.

yea I believe thats what happened with mines. So Im trying to find a belt clip to hold the phone away from my pockets. I never really liked putting my phone in my pocket anyway with any phone.

This might help with the rubbing issue since the bottom is loose.

Like several others in this thread...I have the black case and it fits great and looks to provide great protection for the new Iphone, but I too would like to holster the device with the case and can't seem to find the right fit. Sounds like the VisionClip is too tight a fit for easy access of the phone. Anybody found any doable solution?

I've look at both bestbuy and frys for a universal belt clip. I've found 1 or 2 that FIT perfectly with the case on, but both used a magnetic clip so I wasn't sure if that would effect the phone in any way since apple was asking most case makers to use velcro and not a magnetic type.

So the search continues.

I have the Covertec horizontal pouch that I had for my old Treo. It fits the iPhone w/ the Capsule Rebel perfectally. It has a small magnetic closure. It's a total bonus for me, now i don't have to go buy yet another case.

Here is a link to the latest version of the case on their website, looks like they also have some very nice new models:

Just got the case (white case) while ago, I LOVE IT! 100 % perfect and no sag on bottom (if you put the hard case start from bottom to top not TOP TO BOTTOM). I give this 10/10 best of all case so far.

Thank you

Thank you for this piece of advice. I have the full body IS on the phone and doing the hard shell from the bottom up made it fit perfect! I tried twice doing it there way with no luck!!!

I received my black Capsule Rebel for my black iPhone 3G a couple of days ago, after ordering July 26th. It was worth the wait.

Appleprostore will definitely get my business again. I ordered before they were told by Switcheasy to raise their prices; plus, there is a 10% web coupon code for discount.

I had thought about the Arctic but if it's milky in colour that doesn't work for me. The black is perfect. One day I might switch out for something more colourful.

Oh, and I'm using the anti-glare Power Support screen protector, from the (actual) Apple store. A great combination.

Now to return the boring but nearly practical inCase Protective Cover (clever name!) which served me until now...
