This is kind of what I'm thinking. Scratches are going to happen either on the case or on your phone. If I can get a case that doesn't make the scratches stand out I'd prefer that. But then I'm straying from what the actual iPhone looks like.

This is good input for sure.

True, but remember that it won't just get scratched, it will get dirty, and getting a light colour over time it will fade and become discoloured whereas the black case will remain black. Dirt shows up a lot more on white than on black.

if your in the UK and want a black one or white one. Use www.amazon.co.uk

Ordered mine Friday morning, dispatched by midday and arrived this morning.

I had requested a replacement for a black sagging one, heres an update to me:

I got the replacement in the mail, no instructions in the package or the email to send the old one back. The replacement fits the exact same, sags at the bottom.

Its a shame, but Im not sure what to do now. I have 2 cases for 25$. Neither of which I will probably use long term.

I too had the black sagging case issue, emailed Mr Zoltan directly, he sent out a replacement case that I received Friday...no more sag. Case fits very well and the anti-glare screen compliments it perfectly.

I too have not received info on returning my original one. My replacement sags less but still sags. I guess they don't want the defected ones back? Anyone ship the original one back when receiving a replacement?

I ordered the rebel black two weeks ago today, on the third, and received it on the fifth or sixth.. No sagging on the bottom or sides, but a bit of chrome shows on the bottom left a right, which I pretty much solved by inserting the phone bottom first.

It really is exceptional, much better than anything I have seen, including the revo2.. I even converted my brother from revo to rebel ;)

Plus the price is low enough so my parents have gift ideas now, since I am impossible to shop for (I am soo not the stereotype blonde..well, maybe) and I will have the iPhone 3g for at least two years and then it goes to my dad..

It slips easily in and out of my purse and pocket (but it sticks out a bit..girl jeens = no pockets lawl).

I don't mind the plastic scratching, better that than the phone. The chrome hasn't scratched despite the force of which you need to take off the spine and put it back on, and for the weekly cleaning of the phone, neither has the back of the iPhone. The case also hasn't stretched out, which is a plus considering how you need to really jam the phone into the case and pull the rubber over the edges. Even if it did stretch, with the skeleton I am sure it would be fine. Annoying, but fine.

I discarded the screen protectors an got PS anti glare because of the reviews here.

Overall I am happy with it :)

Great case, better customer service

I bought this case from a reseller in Australia. I had a saggy bottom like others, so i took it back to the shop i got it from and asked for an exchange. They said NO. I then emailed switch easy from their website on sunday. On monday i recieved an email back and orginized a new case being sent to Australia. I mean thats a long way from the U.S. If you ask me thats pretty good customer service. Also the case is aswome.

to the people still getting a sagging bottom- how are you putting on the case?

with my arctic, I noticed that if I snapped the skeleton on from the top down to the bottom, the bottom sagged pretty badly, but if I lined up the bottom and snapped on the skeleton from bottom to top, the whole thing fit perfectly.
Something to consider

I had a black case that had some bottom sagging and a bit of a back bulge. Sent photos at the request of Zoltan on Thursday/Friday of last week and was shocked to receive a new case this AM (Monday). They sent it FedEx AM from HONG KONG for Next Day delivery. Must have been a $50+ shipping hit for a $25 case. I would say that the customer service went above and beyond here.

I received my black Capsule Rebel today (ordered it a week ago yesterday). I've read the posts about the sagging but I wasn't too worried as I'm not that picky. But now I know what people are talking about. I found mine didn't fit well at all. There is quite a bit of the chrome bezel showing at the bottom. With the spine off there's also some chrome showing at the top. At first I thought it might be from my BodyGuardz. I wasn't happy with the application, especially the corners. So I took it off as I plan to apply the second one better. Even without the skin the fit is the same. I did try applying the spine from both the top (as suggested in the instructions) and bottom (as suggested here). So I guess I'll see about getting a replacement.

I am glad to hear about the great customer service. But it makes me wonder how they're going to be able to absorb the cost of all the replacements. They don't request the old one back, they pay shipping...it's got to add up. It also annoys me slightly that they know of the sagging issue but continue to ship defective ones. On a bright side, I love the case and all the extras. I especially love the universal dock connector. It works great with my Keyspan AV dock and makes it much easier to plop it on the dock.

no sagging

i have an artic i got about 4 days ago it does not sag fits pretty good it is a little lose on the bottom but i think its because there is no plastic to hold it in place but it does not cause the case to sag good fit i wish it was a little tight fit i get some dirt trough the camra and head phone holes so ive been haveing to take it off to get the dirt out but i think its a prettty good case all in all

just my 2 sence

I got my black one on Friday, and I am disappointed at how much this case scratches! I feel like I already need a new case.

I ordered the Arctic (for my white 16 gig) and Olive (for my wife's white 16 gig) direct from SwitchEasy this morning. Should be noted that they automatically combine shipping (was $4 to ship both to Atlanta).

Seems like everyone here is going for black, white or clear (or a mixture thereof), except for one person who said they ordered the Devil. Has anyone gone with the more unusual colors? I was seriously considering the Celestial or Monstera. Would love to see some pics of the more unusual colors in the wild.

Hopefully mine will not have the sag issue, but seems like they're good about refunds or replacements, so not too worried. Also trying to decide whether to use any sort of screen cover or just go naked: all the tests I've seen show the screen to be remarkably durable and scratch resistant. If I do use one, sounds like the Power Support is the way to go given how well it fits with the Capsule Rebel.

My family ordered 4 cases from apsprostore on the 1st and they just shipped today. :)

It is probably the newest batch so hopefully it does not have any sag

I'd get the protector.. Especially for your wife because her earrings will scratch the phone. I have the ps anti glare and I see minute scratches in the center of the FILM. I can't imagine what it would do to the screen, tests or no tests.

Better safe than sorry. 15 dollars for two films to protect at least from this, or 250+ to replace the screen/unit..

I wouldn't chance it, especially for your wifey.

Are they diamond earrings? Cos if the screen is glass, they would have to be to scratch it

FYI, I have been using my capsule rebel for about 1 week. I'm using the included screen protector and have not experienced the case pushing up the edges like some others have. It fits perfectly. And for those of you waiting for a clip, I emailed them, and they said it is in the works, probably another 6 weeks.

Another Happy Rebel Case Owner

Happily reporting another satisfied Capsule Rebel (black) case owner. I ended up ordering it based on all the reviews and cool looks. I received it before I even got my phone, that way the first thing I did was put it into the case to prevent any oh... sh*t moments.

Anyway, I really pleased with the case. It fits well, looks good, and doesn't sag at all. I also put on the included screen protector, which looks and feels really nice. It's also cut well (i.e. fits well) with case installed. I did botch the install a little since I got some crap under it in the upper portion of the screen (3 white bubbles). I would definitely recommend it. Here are some pics:

^^^No sag!

I received my black case a few days ago as well. No sag...really good fit. Clear screen protector with a few bubbles. The back section scratches very easily. I really like the design of the case and you get a lot of what you pay for.

A few things that will improve this case

-Softer silicon/rubber material for more shock protection. Its not ''squishy'' at all.

-More durable rigid outer shell

One of the screen protectors I received came pre-scratched right out of the package! I believe it would of been a bubble free application if the sticker on the protector side would come off more easily!

Would love to see some pics of the more unusual colors in the wild.

Grrrrowl.. Here is the tiger, and it's not a saggy tiger :)

Fit is fine without using the supplied protector. I have a powersupport film to put on later tonight.

However the black exoskeleton does show scratches on it and it's only been on since this morning. But I'll not mistake my phone for someone else's ever again. Damn, where is it, left it lying somewhere near the fruit basket...?

the apple pro store is the worst

i ordered on 7/30/08 via echeck. it only took a couple days to clear, but by the time it did, they said it was sold out already and it would be delayed.

then i complained about this and they offered to ship it as soon as they got new stock and throw in a free griffin powerblock. i accepted and waited.

since then, i have seen that the rebel has been seen as "IN STOCK" on their website.

i emailed this past weekend of 8/16/08 to see what the deal was. they said it would be shipped monday via usps priority. usps priority only takes 2-3 business days, and it's thursday and i haven't received it yet.

i informed them i would be leaving my home for a while at the end of this week and it will be a huge shame if i don't get it by THEN.

i've also tried calling their customer service number but it goes straight to a voicemail which is full. the apple pro store is one of the worst i have ever dealt with. i have no idea when i will be getting anything.
