howd you go drilling out the plastic? i was wandering if i should do this as well as hardly any cords fit in the headphone slot anymore. I have a spare case (one with a saggy bottom that was replaced) that i might give it a go on so if it doesn't work i wont have a stuffed case.

Or does anyone know of an adapter?

My husband has the ivyskin case and had the same problem with the headphone slot. He went to best buy and asked around and the employees told them they had nothing. My husband is pretty stubborn and kept looking and found an adapter made specifically for the iphone, but it was not in the phone area. They do have them you just have to look around in all areas of best buy where you might find headphones and headphone accessories (they have about 4 different areas with that stuff). I think he found it close to the CDs. It's made by dynex and was 6.99. It's long and thin and is perfect for all cases so you don't have to drill any holes. Pic later....gotta go to work at the moment!!!

The drilling worked well, it takes a steady hand, but I bored it out just enough to fit any headphone.

anyone got anymore good shots of the red and black one? or the black and white one? Im trying to decide between those two or the all black one.

So, I got the Neo and the Rebel. Love the Neo, HATE the Rebel. The saggy bottom is awful. It's so bad, you can see light through it.

I had to send photos to Switcheasy and I am waiting for a response. I decided I don't want another Rebel, and want the white Neo for my wifes phone instead. If the bottom had the same hard plastic as the top, I'd love the Rebel too, but the material (although better then silicone) is too soft, and easily bendable.

Hey man, here's how you can fix the black rebel's saggy bottom. I had one with a saggy bottom, they sent me another one, and it's got a saggy bottom too. So, I switched to the NEO myself and am a fan...but, learned this trick from somewhere else in here.

Basically, take out the rubbery-plastic case with the saggy bottom, and take a hairdryer to the bottom part. Get it nice and hot...don't melt it, just soften the rubber a bit. Then, put in the fake iphone cardboard that comes with the cases, and put a rubber band around the case from top to bottom. Put it in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes.

Pull it out, wait for it to warm up and lose the condensation (you can use the hairdryer to bring it back to room temp as well), and put it on. Basically what you're doing is melting the bottom and changing the shape of the bottom strip so that it curves up, instead of droops down. When you put the case in, it'll stay that way and cover the bezel the way you want it to.

I'm not saying its right or good that the case you paid for has to be fixed this way, but it will help. I've got two now that have gone from un-usable to usable with this technique. Good luck!

This technique works for about a day and then it just goes back to being saggy. The issue is the silicone was manufactured sightly larger than it should be. When you apply the plastic spine, it pushes all the pressure to the bottom of the case and causes the saggy bottom to appear.

I agree with you as it relates to the issue being that the silicone was manufactured larger than it should be. But, mine has been "fixed" by this technique for about two weeks now, with no signs that it's going to revert back up. Basically, the mold now makes it sag up, instead of sag down. Maybe my problems were different than others though. At least my case is usable now.

so are people still getting the saggy bottom with the more recent orders?

Well, I just got mine a few days ago, and the sag is horrible. Unless I got old stock, I don't know. You can see the bottom corners don't even line up correctly.

Same here, got it a couple days ago. Sags like there's no tomorrow.

do the freezer trick mentioned above to fix the sag. they sent me a replacement case that still sagged but its fixed now and I am happy with it. :)

Yeah, I just got a black the other day and it had the sag. Did the hairdryer/freezer trick described in this thread and it looks great now.

Good to hear it all went well. I decided that with my luck ill probably screw up my case if i attempt to drill out the hole and somehow screw up my iPhone (even though it wont be in case when i drill out the hole). So i have decided to go for the adapter option. just havn't been to the shops yet to buy one.

They offered to send me another Rebel to replace my sagging case, told me to keep this case, but I asked for a White Neo instead, and they are sending me that instead. What a great company. I'm quite happy with the customer support.

Just ordered the Rebel yesterday and just got two separate emails with two different tracking numbers about 1 hour apart.

I would assume the rebel would only come in one box. Did anyone else get two boxes shipped to them?

yup it even comes with its own dock adapter.

So if i were to buy the dock for the 3g and just put the adaptar in on it it would work fine? Sorry if this is a stupid question jus never had a dock before.

I ordered the Capsule Neo on friday night as well and got 2 emails confirming shipping about an hour apart just like you. Might of been a glitch in their system that night.

The dock adapter only works with the Apple Universal Dock and would not work with the iPhone 3g dock

If this helps..
By the way, The case here is the CapsuleNeo but dock wise it's the same idea.

I just got a black Rebel to go with my black Neo, it came fast and has no sag at all. In fact the bottom is flush up against the frame which I was very happy about.

I'm having a hard time choosing which I like better to be honest. They both are excellent cases, I think 2 of the best out there.

Just an FYI, I now have both a black Rebel and artic Rebel. Neither of them have the sag issue. I really love these cases. I have tried severak cases out including the incase slider black and white, the contour flick, griffen nuform etc. I like this the best. I will post some pictures later as I did a combo I have yet to see anyone else do. I used the Artic rubber and the black spine. Looks cool IMO. You can see the apple logo still through the case as the black spine is see through just like the artic case is. It is kinda the reverse of the "Skeleton" combo, only see through. :D
