Anyone know of a good headphone adapter thing that works with this case? Most of the 3.5mm cables I use won't fit right unless I cut off the surrounding area off.

Im having the same problem, wonder if i should dremel out the hard plastic?

:)

Bought the Artic. It shipped yesterday (less than 24 hr ship notice). Pretty excited :) I'll post some pictures.

And I'd like to see the black and teal--when will we be able to order mix and matches? Geez!

I got my black one last week. So far so good. The silicon is "harder" than I thought but is still grippy so it servers its purpose. The spine does scratch easy. I feel better about setting the phone down most anywhere now. There's no sag at the bottom. The only issue I have had was with the screen protector. I didn't get a super accurate placement on the first try then I had a hard time trying to peel it off to re-seat it. So I just left it. I figure when it gets scratched up I'll just use the second one it came with!

Oh and the screen protector seems to attract smudges and fingerprints easier than the glass, but that might just be in certain lighting.

Great case overall! Best looking case I've seen yet!

In about a year I'll probably buy a freshie. This is the only case I've had for an iPod or similar device that I'd re-buy so that's got to be a good sign.:D

saggy bottom workaround

I got my replacement case today and it is perfect. So i decided to experiment on my first case. I found that if I heat it up with a blow dryer then put a rubber band around the top to the bottom and throw it in the freezer it shrinks the case up a bit and now the bottom doesn't sag. It works! Try it out on your original if you got a replacement.

This works for me too. I had my 2nd case delivered (Arctic) which took only 8 days end to end from Apsprostore to UK. The case was a bit saggy at the bottom and I was a bit annoyed, you can just about to see the bezel as it bows down. I took vicfalc09’s advice:- 1) inserted the instruction card that came with the case and heat up the saggy plastic so that it was hot and lose. 2) wrapped the rubber band around top and bottom so that the bottom part of the case bends inward, the card in the case stops it from collapsing. 3) put the whole thing in the freezer for approximately 15 mins. 4) take it out and let the condensation settle whilst the rubber band is still wrapped around it. The bottom of the case appears to be hardened by the process and slightly reverse sagged. 5) remove rubber band and dry out any moisture before putting it onto the iphone. This was carefully done from bottom end first.
It’s been 2 days now and the shape is still holding. Fingers cross.

It's not silicon. It's hard to explain. But nothing sticks to it. It's smooth. If you don't like silicon, you'll like this case.

Thanks for the response. With this, and the praise this case has been getting on the forum, I just placed an order for my case. I'm hoping I'm lucky enough to not get a bottom sagger! :D

i got my replacement case yesterday after waiting a bit over a week which is pretty good since i live in Australia and the case came from the U.S. I installed it with great care to not stretch the bottom and so far so good.

now that the case has no saggy bottom i love it:). i recommend it to everyone

:D Yes, I finally recieved mine yesterday. No saggy bottom. Fits perfect. Looks great. i do recomend it for anyone who wants a nice/cool looking cover for your iPhone. And it very well seems to protect it. WOO, HOO!!!!!:apple:;)

No they are not available at the Apple store!!!

Other than the top a little, I think it came out perfect (other than that spot). It was basically some trapped "hairs" under there even though I cleaned it and installed it in a steamy bathroom. I figured I'd leave it there for now till I'm sure I'm keeping the phone. Then I'll install a bodygaurdz skin.

:eek:Dude, JA, JA, I think you need to check your vision out. It is not only at the top, you have bubbles all over the bottom too. Ja, JA. try harded. Its not that hard to put on. Just use the little cardboard piece that comes with it to get the bubbles out. And thats all.!!:D

First, spell correctly and cohesively. Second, the big "ghosty" bubbles you see are normal and they disappeared the next morning. Third I said it was temporary protection while I was trying the phone out.

But, thanks anyway JA, JA ;)

I hate to plug a product but I have to on this one. I ordered the arctic on Mon, it shipped on Tuesday and I received it this morning. This thing is amazing...amazing quality and boy is it sharp looking. A+ from me... I'll be sticking with this one for awhile. I just hope it holds up, a case for 24 bucks with this quality is simply awesome.

Are they diamond earrings? Cos if the screen is glass, they would have to be to scratch it

Sorry, have been preoccupied so I couldn't respond.

No, they are normal gold hoops..It is just that the continual contact from the screen (protector) to the earring causes tiny scratches to appear near the center of the screen (protector).

Not many of us gently place our phones to our ears, especially when we are digging our phones out of bottomless pits we call purses :p

I received a package today from SwitchEasy - I ordered and paid for the CapsuleRebel in Celestial, but received the CapsuleNeo in black :-/ I live right next to San Francisco, so it shouldn't take long to get a replacement, but I was really hoping to have a case asap. I wonder why they're getting orders mixed up like this?

If anyone is curious, I can confirm that the Arctic does in fact fit over a Gelaskin. I'm not entirely sure I care for the particular Gelaskin I chose (maybe a wee bit too feminine?), but now that I know it fits maybe I'll do a little more shopping around to find an image I prefer more.

I've finally decided on the rebel but I'm unsure of what color to get..I like vibrant colors but nothing that classifies as feminine or masculine...I like the arctic and monstera so far...just wanted to ask what you guys suggest? :D

I'm going to get the white iPhone

Been using mine a couple weeks now.

Great case overall, would give it 5/5. When I first got it, it sagged, but after a couple hours of being on there, it has no sag at all which is odd, but nice.

The back plastic piece does scratch easily, but who cares! It's just a case. I'd take the case getting scratched over the phone anyday.

I dropped it once on pavement and once on tile flooring:

Pavement: Scuffed up rubbery part a little bit, but no major damage
Tile: Home button didn't work until I pressed it about 20-30 times

Everything works fine now, though. I would highly recommend this case. It contours perfectly to the phone and offers superior protection.

Headphone slot not big enough

@ iMeat
howd you go drilling out the plastic? i was wandering if i should do this as well as hardly any cords fit in the headphone slot anymore. I have a spare case (one with a saggy bottom that was replaced) that i might give it a go on so if it doesn't work i wont have a stuffed case.

Or does anyone know of an adapter?

I can just about to push my Senneiser HD212Pro and PMX70 Sport headphones through the headphone hole. However, now that you mentioned adapter I thought I'll try my old 1st Gen iPhone headphone adapters (one from Belkin http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/belkin-headphone-adapter-for-iphone and the other from HMV http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1&sku=732277, both fits fine. The problem with these it makes the adapter look stupidly large.
There are some slicker adapters with mic which works on 1st Gen iPhone so I presume will work on Rebel too.. http://www.macworld.com/article/132284/2008/02/iphone_adapters.html

Sexy Arctic :))

Pictures of my arctic :) Excuse my non-great photos...apparently a new camera is in order. Too bad apple doesnt make them =/? No saggy bottom. The plastic piece on the back DOES scratch, but Im not anal about stuff like that, I expect phones and things on them to get scratched. Its life. Other than that, I pretty much love it :) No bubbles or bad fit with the included screen protector...
