My tracking hasn’t updated to say it’s out for delivery but managed to get through to my local depot and they have confirmed it’s in the van - so don’t fret if tracking not updated

Well, I'm still wondering what I paid £10 for. :/
[doublepost=1509708000][/doublepost]Called them and got a refund. Apparently it's still out for delivery. Fingers crossed...

Definitely no iPhone for me today. They confirmed the 10th Nov in CPW.

However, I am not a fan of it after spending 5 minutes with it. I prefer the SE, but time will tell when I get mine.

Cancelled my order so might bump peoples up now :)

I had a go on the iPhone X at the Apple store. It's such a nice phone, and I'm definitely glad I went with silver!
Exactly that it’s so beautiful

Well collected my order from CPW. All a bit rushed as the second I parked up I got called to an emergency in work.
In store I didn’t play ball with their questionnaire designed to sell an insurance deal for the phone so had to tell the CPW guy .....’sorry but just the phone please’. He did his best and got me out the door quick. Still at work and not even had a chance to open my phone

I picked mine up this afternoon, despite the jokers over the past couple of days hacking into my DPD account and changing the delivery date and place (did they really think it’d work?!).

Anyway, all set up now but I had the same sales pitch from CPW about insurance. £15.99 a month?! More expensive than AppleCare plus. What are you guys getting? Any insurance at all?

Picked up without issue this afternoon. No insurance sales either. I think he was more prepared to get me to take ut a new contract until he realised I'd bought it outright.

Got a very snotty look from another customer who was being told "there are none in the country until the 17th". Then another guy hands mine over.

Mines gone smoothly (except amazon not delivering my case as per prime quote of next day)

Didn’t take the insurance because it’s covered by my CC for 90 days then on the house insurance

Very impressed so far even if it is still re-downloading everything

Will probably dander past the Apple Store over the weekend and buy Apple Care for mine
Another £199 mind

Is it fairly straightforward getting Apple Care+ if I didn’t buy it in the Apple store? My only experience is when I bought my 6S plus a couple years back and it was all done there and then when I bought the phone.

Past couple of time I have purchased my phone with John Lewis and brought Apple care in Belfast Apple Store. They simply ask to see the phone [out of any case] and examine for damage. Then that ask you to go to settings and get the IMEI and serial, which they input into their POS terminal and that’s it. After they hit you for £199 of course

I have to say - despite dodgy live chat, CPW deserve a bit of credit for coming up with the goods and mostly meeting demand.

It’s madness that I got 13th Nov delivery direct with Apple at 08:05 but ordered at 10.50 with CPW and got a phone on launch day. But I’m happy

I remember the good old days when I paid a ‘mere’ £109 for Apple care!!

I don’t know about you guys but I can’t fault how CPW have been at all. Got my phone no trouble on release date, was never told anything other than the 3rd. Asked if I wanted insurance (it’s their job guys no need to get angry at them!) I asked how much and if they have a leaflet for it which he gave me and said if you want it you have 30 days and that was that. 5/5 service in all honesty!

On another note however I’ve just realised I wasn’t given a receipt or anything, did they forget or is this on my emails/on their system if I show them my ID or? Otherwise I’ll pop back in tomorrow and ask for one

Yes I have to admit to being somewhat surprised at CPW pulling through with my order. I didn’t really hold out much hope for an order placed at 11:30 on pre order day to be delivered for the 3rd. But the thing is that’s exactly what they claimed do be able to do on their website when l ordered and was the reason for my order. So should it really be anymore than expected?

In any event I thank CPW for helping me get my X on launch day and the experience has renewed my faith in them somewhat.

One suggestion I would make to CPW is to implement a proper order tracker system - it would have negated the need for the endless phone calls and chats we have seen and heard about on this thread all week!

I had exactly the same experience with CPW. Bought with the promise of in store pickup on the 3rd and they kept their word, took 5 mins to pick-up in store. I have read of the troubles of other customers on this forum, so I suppose I’m rather lucky that my transaction was as smooth as could be. I wasn’t handed a receipt either, but I received email confirmation a couple of hours later. How are you enjoying your new iPhone?
