My wife cla 250 still cuts off and reboot spoke to carlinkit directly and seller..told me to wait a few days and that it’s a known issue with Mercedes-Benz...I will try this update and see if there is a difference

Did you or anybody else try this with the Anker PowerWave Base Pad:
Anker PowerWave Base Pad Wireless Ladegerät, Qi-Zertifiziert, 7.5W für iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, X, Xs, Xr, Xs Max, 8, sowie 10W für Galaxy S10, S9, S8, Note 10, 9 https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07WV1J8QL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_r-yiFbYDXSGAV using for wireless loading in car during wireless CarPlay?
It works and fits well, Smartphone holds on it during driving?
How fast is loading?

Yes the wireless charger works great I put it adjacent to the cup holders hence why I preferred the phone like shape. Yes it chargers fast (i linked also to an add on for accessory outlet USB port/s that can provide enough power for faster charging). There us a rubber disc on top of charge plate and bottom that keeps the phone from sliding and the charger from sliding. Naturally if you car comes with wireless charging these items have less value.

Hi folks, i have a 2019 Merc C300, somehow the language changed to Korean and I am unable to use any of the touchpad to change the settings on the Carlinkit U2W Plus unit. Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks for Infos. Can you post pictures from yours? What accessory for USB port/s do you have? I only have a adapter for cigarette lighter.
No, i don‘t have wireless charging in car, by buying i thought i don‘t need that...

Anybody have the changelogs from 7/29 Update for CarPlay2air adapter?
I have the 7/27 Update and it works (only startup problems sometimes so i must put adapter out and in from USB port).
I’m very carefully since the update problems with dead adapter and thinking: never change a running system...

Be careful with the OTA updates. Just bricked mine (Carplay2Air). Only blue led is on and cannot do even USB update.

They will send a replacement but they want the faulty one back and that costs a lot to send to China.

Same by me about 2 weeks before but a few days later a new OTA update comes out and till this adapter works.
From which to which version you have tried to make the OTA Update to your CarPlay2air Adapter?
Did you get a message like „please upgrade to version xxx before upgrade to this version“ on screen?

Yes I did. I cannot remember version numbers. I did one update before that one and it said something like ”fixes update problems” and thought that was the version this is asking for.

Carplay2Air FAQ says that updating is easy as just browse that page and press update... well it wasn’t and now I got a bricked adapter.

So this works in your MyLink3? You might be the first example of it working.
My CPLAY2AIR “Works” with MyLink3. It connects on startup maybe 25% of the time, connects anywhere from 2-10 minutes after startup maybe 50% of the time, and sometimes it doesn’t connect at all. So it’s not reliable and is frustrating. I even tried a USB power switch to control when the dongle gets power but that has not made a difference at all.

I went ahead and ordered the USB-C Carlinkit dongle through Amazon Prime. Arrived next day. Plugged it in after startup (tried a couple times) and nothing. Left the dongle plugged in overnight and tried again this morning and it connected after startup, so we’ll see if this one works better than the CPLAY2AIR. If not I’ll return it through Amazon.

Good news GM owners with the 5 minute audio issue. Todays manual update fixed it. I’ve been streaming for over 20 minutes and no audio issue.

@2018 Denali i can also confirm that the 7.29 update fixed the 5 min audio glitch for my 2017 Chevy Tahoe as well. @BUXjr this should fix the issue for you as well.

I also noticed it fixed the couple seconds delay when changing songs on mine too. It almost changes the song immediately now.

The only issue I notice now, is that the song doesn't update immediately on the Heads Up Display when you change the song, but only after the song has been playing about 2:30-3:00 minutes.

I have CarLinkIt v1 never worked on my Intellilink, which I believe maybe is a “cousin” of your MyLink3, after Googling.

It’s never worked, it keeps just blinking the CarPlay icon.

It’s interesting that your v2 USB-C version works now. I’m wondering if I should order on Amazon UK and chance it to see if works, and return if not (at my return cost to Amazon UK)

When you say you left it plugged in overnight, the USB ports wouldn’t have been powered would they? So did it just take a long time for 1st time setup?

Anyone got a WhatsApp for CarLinkIt, the one I had now doesn’t get read.

Has anyone asked CarLinkIt if the USB-C version is different hardware?

On a side note my experiment for a extra power cable to it from a ciggy lighter didn’t work....

Is the usb update method the same for the USB C Carlinkit as the USB A ? Just tried updating to 2020-07-29 - followed instructions and, light was flashing and now just have a solid red light on the CarlinkIt device at the moment - been around 5 mins so far.

That’s it. Remove the dongle from the wall charger, removed the usb stick, plug in the dongle to the car/truck then check if it’s updated to 7-29-20.

That's great news indeed. Thanks you and 2018 Denali for reporting. What version of firmware did you upgrade from? Reason I'm asking is because I currently have 3.6.20 and it's working well enough, well apart from the delay when changing tracks. I guess there are no guarantees but wondering whether to update or leave it alone. I'd love to lose the delay though.

Thank you - was worried when I only had a red light but it’s worked and on 7-29-20, it’s definitely noticeably quicker skipping tracks on my Ford Focus with sync 3.4

I’d probably hang tight a few days. I can update you if all is working ok after a few days of tests. I’d hate you losing 3-6-20 firmware if other issues come up on 7-29-20 firmware and can’t go back.

simps, have you noticed an issue with CPlay2Air and SYNC 3.4 where, when on the SYNC screens and a notification comes in on the phone, the screen flashes to Carplay and quickly back to SYNC? I'm going to apply this update and see if it fixes it for me. Faster music controls will be a bonus.

I’ve not tested since the upgrade but I’m certain this is how it always has been for me on Sync and car play even before I got the adaptor and was wired - if I had the radio on and I got an iMessage it would flash up car play till the notification disappeared.

Hi guys

I've been reading a lot of posts here since I bought my device last March and know all about OTA bricking devices in the recent weeks/months. Quite a journey for some of you out there !

Just noticed the first proposed OTA update since January on my CarPlay2Air device saying it is to "resolve a problem of upgrade failure". Yes, that's what it says but I'm scared of doing it!!

Anyone here succeed into updating their device with the 2020.07.01.1234 proposed update without bricking the device and coming from 2020.01.22 update ?

Using it in a Lexus NX300 2018 and I'm the kind of guy who won't fix it if it ain't broke but have a few issues like the lag into each voice call (major one) and changing tracks in the Music app.

Thanks in advance
