With firmware from 6.1.2020 I have stuttering voice in Waze and Maps on my Golf 7 fl. Google maps is o.k.

can confirm that the 2018 Honda Accord does not work. Pending dispute.

Tested on a 2019 Hyundai Elantra and it's working without any problems. But I am unable to update the firmware. Couldn't aacess the firmware update Web page from using IP Address 192.168.2.50

No luck on my 2018 Honda Accord Touring. It's not working.

yeah it’s unfortunate. I was really hoping this would work (as mentioned on the site). Now I get to deal with the dispute process as the seller has not responded.

Have you done the initial v2 firmware update via USB? If not, then the OTA update won’t work at 192.168.50.2

People, people, people.....

Stop wishing for wireless CarPlay. Those of us who have only wireless CarPlay are miserable and wishing we had a wired solution. Too many variables, too many glitches, it's a battery pig, it's unreliable, you can have your connection drop without warning, and it takes forever to get the iPhone and the nav to talk to each other properly after a drop.

Count your lucky stars that you have a wired solution. Besides, you need to plug your phone in to keep it charged under the heavy strain of CarPlay anyway. So there isn't much of a point.

Well I'm the complete opposite of miserable HAVING wireless carplay.

I've never plugged my phone in since having the car and have a flawless wireless carplay experience.

You are of course entitled to your opinion, but dont presume that others are going to have a crap experience as you are.

I've had wireless CarPlay in 3 cars over the last 2 years and there is no such thing as a 'flawless' experience so don't go there. I simply don't believe you.

And how do you charge your iPhone? Any chance you plug it in? LOL. CarPlay is a battery pig, of course you do.

I was on the way for three hours in my car and I lost only 7% battery, wireless, audio and a view phone calls only. So what!?
With navigation - phone is connected with cable. So what!?

I‘m very pleased with this aftermarket wireless solution in my CR-V Hybrid. It works PERFECT!
Believe it or not!
Next step: wireless charging. (item is on it‘s way)

So your experience is not all others peoples experience!
Sad for you but true ...

I’m with Alan on this one. I am really pleased with my wireless carplay experience. Is it flawless, no, bot only the initial connection issue very occasionally, beyond that I haven had any issues with call, streaming music or audio books.

For charging, I have a wireless charger but most of the time especially on short journeys (upto 15 miles) my whole stays in my pocket. No substantial battery drain noticed.

My experience is flawless and I couldn't give a monkeys if you believe me or not.

I charge my iPhone overnight at home like I always have done. I get minimal drain on my battery using wireless carplay. So no, of course I don't!!

P.S Your attitude sucks...

This thread is for people that actually WANT Wireless CarPlay, so if you don't want it...move on....:)

Well the Carplay2air units I’m using in my vehicles works much better than that and I’ve not really experienced any of those problems. The convenience of wireless is great, especially for all those short journeys.

What uconnect system do you have?
I have 8.4” latest firmware from the dealership and I’m near flawless

UConnect 8.4 my guess it's the latest firmware (new car, 2020 model). But I've learned that there are several versions of the UConnect 8.4 system: different hardware (feature wise as well as manufacturer) and even on the same car/model it can vary considerably depending on some optional features.

Tried mine that’s never worked on a Vauxhall, just solid red LED, on a Merc and worked. Connected to the dongles Bluetooth, then connected and worked straight away.

Didn’t have to activate or anything, interface just opened after a few secs.

Tried back in mine, and nothing, solid red LED, no Bluetooth or anything. FW 01-03-2020

Quite similar to what I get on my Jeep. The solid red LED stays for a while, then it turns off and recycle... very wierd.
