I bought the app and premium, the app forecast and temperature are very very bad in Austria and Slovenia-Europe. 5c difference, it is snowing and it shows sun,...
Underground app is free and now should pay extra 10$? Even i spend 5$ for app and 4$ for premium
Very disappointed

I have to pay Weather Underground to use their data in my app, so unfortunately it's not free to me. Dark Sky is unfortunately not as accurate as they should be in parts of Europe, that's why I worked hard to add Weather Underground as an alternate data source. I'm hoping to add more sources in the future as well.

Did 4.2 break the CARROT³ compilation for premium users? I can’t get carrot 3 to show up as a small compilation at all. All other compilations work in that slot

No, no problems reported. Is the option to add CARROT Fit to your watch complications not showing up at all? If so, make sure CARROT Fit is installed on your Apple Watch. If CARROT Fit isn't showing up in the Watch app on your iPhone at all, restart both your watch and phone.

Speaking of Carrot Fit... the number of complication options is rather limited compared to Carrot Weather. A lot of them aren't available. Is there any plan to update them or is it a lot of backend work?

Not too much work, will probably update it soon!

Carrot3 icon shows when I’m setting the small compilation on my modular face, (as in the placeholder for when you’re setting up the watch face) but I’m unable to get it to show on the actual watch face - it just shows up as blank.

When you tap on the empty slot, does that take you to the CARROT Fit app?

Any plans to add lightning notifications? One of my favorite features of the now deteriorating Storm app.

Hi, I like the look of this app but I'm a little confused what (if any) Apple Watch support is included for the standard £4.99.

I'm happy to pay the £4.99 up front but I don't really like the idea of subscribing to a weather app (I just don't value weather updates more than the upfront cost)

If I purchase the app, do I get any Apple Watch support and what exactly do I miss out out on?

Without the subscription, you still get full access to the watch app itself. The only things you can't do in the watch app without the subscription is customize the data points and access the animated radar (which is US only, btw). You can also still add the complications, they just won't automatically update with fresh data very often. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Any plans to allow us to customize the complication on the explorer watch face?

You already can! The watch faces shown in the customization screen are just the 4 basic templates that Apple uses, the watch faces that each slot actually matches up with is listed below the template title on that screen - though it looks like I don't have Explorer listed on there now, will correct that. Explorer uses the Utility complication template for the large slot, and the Color template for the small slots.

So after a bit of deliberation I decided to purchase the app and the subscription.

Overal I am happy with the app, and the quips are mildly amusing meatbag so well done on having a USP.

One question though, the Apple Watch app is often slow to update my location. I travel often so it’s frustrating if the Apple Watch app is showing me weather for the wrong location. This seems to be limited to the Watch app only as the iPhone app maps my location perfectly.

For example, I was in London yesterday and now I am back in Hampshire but 12 hours later the Watch app is still showing London weather. A hard reset sorts the issue but this is far ideal.

Thoughts?

Thanks

In the Settings app on the iPhone, under Privacy > Location Services, do you have CARROT set to "always" or "while using"? If it's "while using", that's the issue - just switch it to "always" and that'll fix things. (And no, this won't make battery life worse for you, the app doesn't actually use GPS in the background.)

How does CARROT Weather compare to Dark Sky?

Same data source, but a lot more customization options (i.e. add extra data points to your complications, have 2 complications on the same watch face showing different data points, etc). That's generally what people like about the Apple Watch app!

Same issue. Took about 2hours after I arrived in Tampa FL today to update. Then after the updates, it did not refresh very often. Clicking on the complication on the watch would update the temperature :(

Working on figuring out why the phone/watch don't register location changes when turning back on after a plane trip etc.
