I can't get the complications to go across to the watch series 4 and i do have apps open. It does say it has worked but does not do it.

Nope. Maybe that's why :)
So I add the complications as normal in the watch app then change them using your app. That makes sense now. Will try it later.

Yeah, it's a little counterintuitive, but third-party apps can't add complications to the watch face themselves, you still have to do that part manually.

Mr carrot. If I use a face which has 2 of your fine complications will the watch request 1 or 2 background updates to update the data?

Just trying to figure out why I'm getting suck worse battery life lately and one reason is possibly using a fade with 3 carrot data points vs my old 1.

No, the number of complications you have active shouldn't affect your battery life. Maybe try restarting your watch?

Complications work great now and love the snarky comments. :)

Haha me too! I catch myself opening up the complication just to read the snarky comments. They’re hysterical.

I wish we had the option for Siri to speak out the snarky comments on Apple Watch like the phone.

My watch speaks the comments if I click on the complication.

Umm I am IN LOVE with Carrot - where have you been all my life? I smile and have a little snort-laugh every single time I flick my wrist and view Carrot on the centre slot in infographic watch face. I love the snark - the more swearing the better. I can’t make the app on my AW4 talk though when I touch the complication.... I am dumb or is it easy to find out?

You can enable the speech synthesizer by pressing firmly on the app to open the force touch menu. Then select settings and turn on the speech synthesizer in there. Also, make sure you have sounds turned on for your entire watch. CARROT will speak whenever she completes a data update or whenever you open her after she's completed a data update in the background, so you won’t hear her speak until the next update occurs.

Is there any chance of making the text for the infograph face a little more customisable or smart? I've noticed a couple of issues on the 40mm.

1) a word - either tonight or tomorrow - truncates to TO... because the string is too long. The information is useful, but presented badly. It could be helped by disabling the HI LO temps that precede it, especially as my preference for the circle complication is temp + condition, making retelling the HI LO redundant.

2) rain. I have precipitation chance as a second complication, so taking over the text to say '23% CHANCE OF RAIN" right now isn't particularly useful.

I'd love some kind of actual forecasting in the forecast text rather than mere reporting, but I know that data in each country may constrain this a little. Perhaps having the option to set X hours ahead, or a couple of significant times, would work. For example, rather than telling me the conditions now it could tell me "20% CHANCE OF RAIN @ 5PM", "SUNNY @ 5PM", "30 DEGREES @ 5PM" - you get the idea. Is there any chance that would work?

How much is the subscription? And do you still have to pay the $4.99 of you subscribe?

The hi/lo in the text currently gets disabled if you have the complication below it set to show the hi/lo. Not sure if it should get disabled by default if the complication is only showing the current temp and condition, since you can't tell exactly what the hi/lo would be in that case.

Working on making this all a lot more customizable, right now it's set up to work better with the old complication styles where there was only room to customize one or two things. The new complications can display *a lot* more information, even in just the corner or circle slots, so things will have to be completely redone to handle that beyond just offering a long list with a bunch of different options.

The subscription is $3.99/year or $0.49/month, and yes you do still have to pay the upfront fee. The upfront fee is for the app itself, the subscription is for the background data updates and a few other features that have ongoing data costs.

Hi greatest app ever made maker... did I lose it or did the latest beta revert back to a smaller AW Series 0-3 size on the S4?

That might be in the beta instead of the most recently released version, so then it's coming soon :p

I just came across something that probably makes this *even harder* to customise. Infograph face on the 40mm - not sure about the 44mm - moves the text closer when using the "white" background compared to any others. The clock face has a slightly smaller radius. I think this is why the text was being truncated for me. I see "TODAY" when it is any colour but white, but only "TO..." for white.

The only thing that's not available in the UK right now is radar imagery, but my maps provider is expecting to add that very soon.

And you get the same exact forecast in CARROT as the Dark Sky app gives you. The subscription is mostly for more frequent data updates, customization options, and notifications.

Okay I went for it and bought into the Subscription plan. I'm a little disappointed as the two things I was looking to do were:

1) Get the hyper-local; weather warnings I currently get for Dark Skies (in the UK). I have turned on Settings / Notifications / Precipitation, and I've made Sure that Carrot is in the Dock on the S4, Location Services are set to Always and Notifications are on (as per the FAQ). SO far I've not received and Carrot warnings on rain whereas I've received 4 today from Dark Skies. [Just rebooted the watch to see if that makes any difference]. Thoughts?

2) I've just turned 56 so the old eyes are a little iffy these days so I was hoping the widget on the 'Today' view could be customised to bed a little bigger, that is a few less weather symbols. Is this possible and I've missed something?

3) Are any 'themes' available to give a slightly less flat look to the application?

Curious here, can you advise what the other features are that have ongoing data costs?
