I can't get the complications to go across to the watch series 4 and i do have apps open. It does say it has worked but does not do it.

Did you add the CARROT complications to your watch face via the Watch app on your phone?
Nope. Maybe that's why
So I add the complications as normal in the watch app then change them using your app. That makes sense now. Will try it later.
Mr carrot. If I use a face which has 2 of your fine complications will the watch request 1 or 2 background updates to update the data?
Just trying to figure out why I'm getting suck worse battery life lately and one reason is possibly using a fade with 3 carrot data points vs my old 1.
Complications work great now and love the snarky comments.![]()
My watch speaks the comments if I click on the complication.Haha me too! I catch myself opening up the complication just to read the snarky comments. They’re hysterical.
I wish we had the option for Siri to speak out the snarky comments on Apple Watch like the phone.

Mine doesn’t. What am I missing? Is there an option on/off for this? I looked in app but didn’t see anything.
Not sure. I think mine always worked. I’m sure the developer will come along with an idea.
Umm I am IN LOVE with Carrot - where have you been all my life? I smile and have a little snort-laugh every single time I flick my wrist and view Carrot on the centre slot in infographic watch face. I love the snark - the more swearing the better. I can’t make the app on my AW4 talk though when I touch the complication.... I am dumb or is it easy to find out?
Is there any chance of making the text for the infograph face a little more customisable or smart? I've noticed a couple of issues on the 40mm.
1) a word - either tonight or tomorrow - truncates to TO... because the string is too long. The information is useful, but presented badly. It could be helped by disabling the HI LO temps that precede it, especially as my preference for the circle complication is temp + condition, making retelling the HI LO redundant.
2) rain. I have precipitation chance as a second complication, so taking over the text to say '23% CHANCE OF RAIN" right now isn't particularly useful.
I'd love some kind of actual forecasting in the forecast text rather than mere reporting, but I know that data in each country may constrain this a little. Perhaps having the option to set X hours ahead, or a couple of significant times, would work. For example, rather than telling me the conditions now it could tell me "20% CHANCE OF RAIN @ 5PM", "SUNNY @ 5PM", "30 DEGREES @ 5PM" - you get the idea. Is there any chance that would work?
How much is the subscription? And do you still have to pay the $4.99 of you subscribe?
The hi/lo in the text currently gets disabled if you have the complication below it set to show the hi/lo.
If it is supposed to, it isn't working.
That might be in the beta instead of the most recently released version, so then it's coming soon![]()
How about adding a option to make the top text show the location instead of Snark or Forecast?

The only thing that's not available in the UK right now is radar imagery, but my maps provider is expecting to add that very soon.
And you get the same exact forecast in CARROT as the Dark Sky app gives you. The subscription is mostly for more frequent data updates, customization options, and notifications.
The subscription is $3.99/year or $0.49/month, and yes you do still have to pay the upfront fee. The upfront fee is for the app itself, the subscription is for the background data updates and a few other features that have ongoing data costs.
