@xraytech I was starting to think I was the only one who is loving this case! One negative for me is the weight but it is aluminum so.... I'm testing reception on 3g and still no dropped calls. This is a keeper! May order the red before the 30% coupon expires! Hope I don't get any fitment issues like others have had with the red one! Great pics by the way!

30% Coupon?!?

SWEET!!!

Orange would be awesome! I would rock that for my SF Giants World Series Champs!

My thoughts exactly. You a SFGiants Fan? I like you already.

Yeah GelaSkins.

Yeah went to the Stick back in the days now I make it a point to go every Orange Friday here at AT&T Park.

great pics xraytech! This is my first aluminum case. Everything works as advertised and reception only decreased by 2dB. I think that's pretty darn good. Unfortunately I don't like the feel, making the phone so much bigger and wider. Maybe I'm not used to it, but I'll probably try to sell it on Craigslist for now.

I compared the size to a generic slider case and it's not that much bigger.

i have one and it makes the phone bulkier and heavier. the bottom side of the case is cushioned but the top half isn't so it scratched the black plastic lining on the iphone.

To the guys who have it, any issues with the case scratching the antenna or the black plastic surrounding both glasses? Also, the lock button, silent switch, and volume buttons, any issues with them scratching the various parts too? I have a blue one coming in, and do not want to risk damaging the phone while using the case.

The only way you can possibly scratch anything is if you don not follow the installation instructions.

So my case arrived and I pulled it out to install, put the first bit on went to close it up and realised that the side plastic joint was broken!!
Lol I really must have jinxed it because after reading all the negative stories on here I was expecting something negative
I have emailed and sent a picture, just waiting to see what they have to offer.
Break aside it's an okay case, not really as 'wow' as the preview video, I like the colour even though it isn't the silver we expected.
It adds more bulk than I expected but not too much to complain about.
I guess it's back to the hybrid ex while I wait on casemate
A few pics of the break for anyone interested

One other thing, the plastic joints are weak on this thing I think any side protection any thicker than a luckylabs type strip will stretch them to stress point

What? Why is there plastic in the construction? That's just bull.

I am guessing it's their solution to the signal issue, maybe to avoid a single loop of aluminium, I may be wrong though
It has 2 joints held with plastic knobs or whatever

To be fair, it's about $40 cheaper than the rest of the Aluminum cases out there, so you gotta expect some trade offs with it..

Question, did you install the case face down or face up? I guessing you installed face up. I tried installing face up and I had the hardest time closing the two halves. So hard that it felt like the face half was bowing a bit. So I stopped and read the instruction. Followed the face down orientation and the two halves joined easily. I guess I lucked out failing on the 1st try.

INSTALL FACED DOWN!!!

Yep, mine was like that too. It broke as soon as I started to put it on. More than likely it was damaged either in shipping or in packaging.

Either way, 2 flimsy pieces of plastic holding the frame pieces in place is poor design. What's odd is they didn't go cheap anywhere else like the buttons or the actual screws.
