Mate, you need to leave the personal insults behind and just entertain different points of view as a 'possibility'...

Enough.

I compliment you. No worries my mate! I don't mind you insult me. You have fun view of world. Is good. ;)

As to topic of thread, I think the new case make beautiful iPhone5. October is almost here matey!

Wireless charging

Well there is a lot of discussion about wireless charging going on here...

Despite my belief that this will not come with iPhone 5 for one simple reason: There is still a connector plug on it and with cloud service and wireless, Apple would be bold enough to drop that since there is Bluetooth, 3G or 4G and WLAN capacity. Also: the induction might use more space and would reduce capacity of the battery at this moment.

Now, there is one biiiig advantage of using induction which goes along with what was mentioned that you can seal it of: You can leave your cover on all the time and use a customized docking station without unclothing the phone. This is the major reason that my phone does not even have a screen protector: Apple docking station does not provide the space for it. And, as someone stated before, if you take care of your stuff, it still will look okay after 2 years... :D

NO way is this this the Touch. And why include 3G in a Touch? I honestly believe the Touch will end up getting the "short end of the stick". If they keep it around, the touch will get the larger display either at the same time as the iPhone 5 or at a later date! For all we know, the iPhone 4(s) could be the new touch. That would make more sense than to release an updated version of the Touch. It's a given that the iPhone 5 will include a larger display. No questions asked! There is a HUGE market for something a bit larger. They will keep the 4(s) and introduce the iPhone 5. 4(s) will go for $99.00 with either an 8 gig or 16 gig and the iPhone 5 will start out at either 16 or 32 for $199.00. These are the realistic (this is not based off of anything than pure common sense) specs! I would say that both phones will include the A5 chip, the iPhone 5 would be sweet for a bit more ram, but who knows. A wide button for swiping between multitasks, photos, and landscape web browsing scrolling up and down with your thumb. Apple has to go at least 1 step up from other smart phones in order for them to sell as many units as they are hoping to sell. Wishful thinking? I hope not!

This :)

Ahaaaa,
I have an idea, I believe this is the new iPod Touch, because if you notice, they NEVER show you the front, they just show the back,
So yupppp, its the iPod Touch 5th Generation

Because Apple would make the iPod touch have a bigger screen before the iPhone

Maybe it's the iPad Nano.

Still curious why we wouldn't have seen any parts floating around for this. We've only seen the N94, right? Have there been any leaks from the manufacturers hinting at a larger design, or has it all been the cases/screen protectors?

Android inspired? WTF are you talking about
"Apple needed the shot in the arm"? Sir you don't know what you are saying apple doesn't need that, apple only needs to send out invitations and the whole wide world will be taking about them and only them.
Oops... seems like I've hit a nerve :)

Hmm... I wonder why they didn't/couldn't show anything but the back of the cases

Because they only have this information, then CGI Cases were created on this dimensions.

When the actual product is announced, the case makers have like 2 weeks to manufacture the product and have it at the dealers for sale with the product.

WOW, didn't Steve say no one would want a phone with a 4 inch display. And didn't all the blind followers agree? So if this indeed turns out to be a 4 inch display, or even just a bigger display, Apple would have become the followers they've always been. Will they offer anything truly new an innovative, or will it be the usual, and pawned off as new? I'm betting the latter. The other big question is, do you compare the iPhone 5 to the SGSll or to the SGSll and Nexus Prime that are just around the corner?

I like the look, it's Android inspired and not as feminine as the iPhone 4.

I'm sure that Apple has suggested or permitted Case Mate to "leak" these images.

Apple needed the shot in the arm to get some buzz going on the street about the new model.

With the Galaxy S II getting so much attention, I'm sure Steve was feeling left out.

Once again Apple has resorted to their tried and true manipulation of all parties involved to tilt the scales in their favor.

I'm thrilled since the sales will be so robust it will drive my Apple stock even higher.

This makes sense. All the tech blogs are reviewing the new U.S. Galaxy S2 this week, and giving it rave reviews, it is all over the geek websites. Engadget gave the Sprint Galaxy S2 a 9/10, the last phone to ever rate that high on Engadget was the iPhone4.

By allowing Case-Mate to leak just some simple pic's of mockups, look at the buzz it has created. And these are only for cases, not the actual phone, and the tech blogs are going bananas over it.

Big companies do this stuff on purpose.

WOW, that looks just like a SGSll. Shameful, no wonder there was such a delay. Didn't Steve say no one would want a phone with a 4 inch display. And didn't all the blind followers agree? I think you might find these cases are a leak from the manufacturers, where else would they come from? not a rumour site.

Well, Apple didn't seem happy at all about last years incident. I'm thinking they have this under complete LOCK DOWN. It helps keeping competitors from catching up so quickly. The iPhone 4(s) is a smart decoy! They are in-fact releasing an update to the current model which looks like normal business practice (3g, then the 3gS).

Apple is going through a MAJOR change, I think there is some historical stuff about to go down that haven't even crossed our minds. Apple is an inventor, they are a leader in technology for the general consumer, for them to fall behind would be unprecedented! They would be taking a step in the wrong direction.

1)The iPod touch originated from the iPhone, so why would they include a bigger screen in the iPod touch before the iPhone

2)Having 3G in an iPod would defeat the whole purpose of an iPhone, as stated above

3)iPad nano....OK..

4)Multiple sources don't go up and say the iPhone 5 looks a certain way and end up not being true. I'm pretty sure the iPhone 5 will look strikingly similar to all these case renderings we're seeing.

Galaxy S2 is way too big, even Galaxy S is big. I need a phone not a ****ing monitor.

The Galaxy S2 is the best smartphone you can buy right now, no fanboy comment, just the facts. But the iPhone5 will be a better device by a bit, not night and day better. And then if the rumors hold up, the Nexus-Prime will be the best device of them all, with an even better resolution than retina display, and running Android 4.0 "Ice Cream" the brand new next generation Android OS, with incredible battery life, and built in a high quality metal chassis, thinner than the current iPhone4.

At the end of the year there will be two killer phones out, each great in their own way
- Nexus-Prime
- iPhone5

From that design doc. By manufacturers, I meant hardware manufacturers, btw.

I dunno. I'm not doubting that this could be true. I find it odd, though, that apple move away from the round volume buttons and then in their new iOS5, make all the toggle switches round to mimic the volume buttons from the ip4. Doesn't seem that consistent in terms of design if that truly is what the ip5 looks like. But, the iPad doesn't have them...so anything is possible I guess.

The only real problem I see with this design (aside from otherwise what was mentioned, i.e., the thing looks like and iPod touch) is that there is no provision for the possibly revamped flash unit. Bugger.
