This is worse idea in all time. How can you think Jobs will delay phone and just put it new chip only. I think you must know nothings about Apple. Is shame.
You do know that some people actually use a phone for TALKING to people... right?
Rumors of a smaller iPad have abounded for nearly 2 years.
***** boys I don't WANT it to be the Touch... but I have enough imagination to entertain the thought...
If the iP5 ends up coming out resembling the iPad with an aluminum (or liquid metal that looks like their aluminum products) then I will be very happy and there is no way I will put a case on it. I don't care if the back scratches, I hate having to use a case on my iP4 because its so fragile.

SO the many recent reports that iOS5 only just shipped as golden master to the manufacturer(s) to flash into already manufactured devices sitting in stock ready to add to inventory... that didn't happen then?

The first-gen iPhone and 3G iPads would disagree with you. The crappy volume buttons on the other hand...
I can't think of one single reason why a respected manufacturer like Case-Mate would spend its time on some rumoured design if they did not have any reason to think that it was true. MacRumors keeps saying that all these cases are based on the same design document, but why would all these manufacturers do that if it was pure speculation? What's the point of being first? You can easily wait until everything's official since these cases aren't that hard to design/produce if you've been doing it for years.
Second, the fact that the iPad 2 cases turned up a few weeks before the actual announcement of the iPad 2 is something that's still on my mind. What do you guys think?

if that camera lens is really on the corner like that we may quickly start seeing threads about cracked lenses and/or blurry pics (from dislodged camera internals)

I am surprised by the rumor of this iPhone4S, being a revised iPhone4, but now with dual cores, more RAM, and iOS5. I thought Apple would just keep the same old iPhone4 and sell that as the bargain cheaper phone. This is interesting they will instead release a iPhone 4.5 type device, and then still have the high end bigger updated iPhone5 too. Again if any of this is even true ?

I like the look, it's Android inspired and not as feminine as the iPhone 4.
I'm sure that Apple has suggested or permitted Case Mate to "leak" these images.
Apple needed the shot in the arm to get some buzz going on the street about the new model.
With the Galaxy S II getting so much attention, I'm sure Steve was feeling left out.
Once again Apple has resorted to their tried and true manipulation of all parties involved to tilt the scales in their favor.
I'm thrilled since the sales will be so robust it will drive my Apple stock even higher.
