I have a white iPhone 4 and I use this case for mine and love it.

I decided to go with protective screens front and back and a bumper type case. Not sure which one I'll getting though.

Does anyone here own a white iphone 4 and uses a clear Incase snap case?
I would really appreciate some photos and your opinion on it. I would love to get the clear frost snap but nowhere in the UK stocks it!

I owned one for my iPhone 4 back when apple was giving them away. While aesthetically it's great, often dust would get stuck in the back and scratch the back glass. So I got rid of it.

I'm amazed at anyone who uses their iP4/4S sans case. The device is insanely slippery both front and back due to the glass. The flat backing makes holding it in your hand during calls incredibly awkward and uncomfortable.

I've tried many cases over the past year with my iPhone 4. The best IMO is the Otterbox Impact case. The key is that it protects both the front and back of your phone. Chances are if it lands on the ground front facing it will be aided by the rubber that covers the front and bottom bezel. Too many cases leave this area exposed. Also the rubber on the front bezel makes pulling it out of your pocket that much easier.

I've tried the Otterbox Defender, Apple bumper, iLuv silicone case, Case-Mate Egg case, and the Impact gets my vote. I will never use an iPhone sans case.

To each their own. I think covering such a beautiful device is a crime. (hyberbole). Same with my MacBook Air. I had a Speck hard shell case, but then I figured I was covering a work of art.

My wife, on the other hand, drops everything. Butterfingers would be a compliment. In her case, an Otterbox Defender or Lifeproof case would not be a bad idea....

I could not agree more. Apples styling is just gorgeous.

I agree completely. Thats why I use zagg shields on my iPad and iPhone. i must admit that using the iPhone 4 completely bare slips out of my hands. But i do hate to cover it up.

I see your point but at the same time, in my experience, the iP4 is difficult to handle sans case. It's so slippery. That antenna on the side does it no favors too.

Personally I'd rather protect/have peace of mind that my investment will last me versus losing the sleekness of the look. I also simply find it much easier to handle with a good silicone case like the Impact.

No laptop, IMO, needs a case of any sort. I've never understood why people use them. I put my MBA down on a flat surface and I'm good.

Didn't you just shatter your iPhone sans case? Probably wouldn't have been damaged had you used a good case.

Investment?? It's a phone....if it breaks get a new one. But it's not an investment

Uh.......what?

An iPhone is an expensive purchase (at least for me it is). It's not something where I simply will shrug and buy a new one if it breaks. I'd buy a new one, but I'd do so annoyed that I have to.

Why wouldn't I attempt to protect my purchase so I can avoid having to purchase a new one in case of an accident? And yes, it is an investment. I'm investing in it to potentially work for 2 years so that I can upgrade when necessary and sell my phone on Craigslist. So an iPhone purchase, for me, is essentially a 2 year investment which I hope to sell in pristine condition when needed.

I'd have to agree here. If replacing an iPhone were $50, that's a different story.

To repeat what another poster said, I am getting a case, and its called AppleCare+... :D

Not the bumper itself per say, but a lot of people say that dust/debris gets in between the bumper and the antenna band and starts scratching it :(

Best skins ever has a side skin that is made to go under the bumpers. The scratches caused by the bumpers are very real and BSE has made a product to combat this issue.

Exactly, all of the people here treating their phone like a high end investment that must be protected at all costs are delusional. It is a device that will be obsolete in one to two years. You are going to lose resale value over time anyway, scratches or not. Just enjoy the thing. What is the point of buying something nice looking to never look at?

Not everyone purchases a phone to look at

Obsolete in one or two years? You serious?

An iPhone always has strong resale value as long as it is working and in good condition cosmetically. Also I'm using a case because I hate how slippery the iP4 is sans case. Even if I was filthy rich I'd use a case with the iP4 to provide it with a better grip, etc.

An iPhone is a high end investment for many.

I honestly thought you were joking in your reply but you are serious. Wow.

I agree with you. I see any device as an investment, especially Apple products. People go crazy over ***** like this and will pay top dollar in some cases just to get their hands on one. Just take a look at the first iPhone. There are collectors today that would pay a pretty penny for it. I have dozens of phones that have come out over the years, from different companies, and I get offers all the time for things that are not on the market. I say, investment.

Anyone used a bumper on their iPhone 4? Reviews?
I used a case all year with my iPhone 4 and it scratched up the metal band, screen and back were perfect though.
so I'm thinking that I just want a bumper...

Bumper cases have always irked me the wrong way. The openings are far too small. Headphones/earphones with larger plugs don't fir too well with the extra rubber protecting the jack, and also the dock connector only takes the iPhone cable.

I've spent so much on cases and protection over the years... I might've LOST, a LOT of money, compared to what I would've had if I didn't buy the protection. Like, I really don't know if it was worth it

WOW! thanks for all the input guys! seeing lots of great ideas here. I think I'm going to get get a skin to cover the entire phone... maybe an invisible shield. reason why is i know my mall has a kiosk that installs them for you. I have always been terrible at putting screen protectors and would like it installed for me. does anyone have experience with zaggs product on the ip4?

Yea I've used zagg on my iPhone 4. Nice and tactile. With any device, make sure its turned off, as the directions will tell you, and don't use too much of the liquid that it drips into little crevices of the phone. But not enough liquid, and it will be difficult to slide into place. Patience is key.

I'm more concerned about the camera lens getting scratches and degrading the picture quality.

Indeed! My iPhone 4 went naked and nothing is scratched on it expect the camera lens. 1000% F'd up to be exact. Picture quality is terrible now! I will be getting a case for my 4s.

No one ever talks about Switcheasy Colors cases anymore. I always remember them as being some of the nicest form fitting and best value cases out there when I had my 3Gs...

Not only do they give you screen protectors but they also give you port covers to keep the dust out of your earphone jack and 30-pin dock connector :)

Most annoying, uncomfortable case I have ever dealt with.
