I've yet to own an iPhone that I haven't put some kind of case on. It's a shame to hide the iPhone in a case, but it is an investment that I want to protect.

If you don't want a case, or want a case but are concerned about scratching the antenna, you may want to consider the Maximum Coverage option from Zagg Invisible Shield. It has pieces that wrap around the antenna as well.

Not used it myself, and would expect it to be a PITA to install. However I've seen vendors setup at my local mall that will do the application for you. May be an option.

I use a Gelaskin for the back of my 4, and that's it.

For my 4S I'm going to do the same!

Anybody else worried their bumpers won't fit? The buttons on the left have moved a fair bit

I never get a case for my iPhones, then what's the point of the great design. I've only been using StealthArmor back stickers and a Power Support front screen protector. Works amazing. My current iPhone4 has zero scratches on it! My wife's, who's had hers in a case has a ton of scratches on it.

I think part of the reason is, if you have a case, you seem to think you're better protected, so you treat it a little rougher, versus going au naturale, you treat it with a bit more care.

I'm going naked with my iPhone 4S. I just can't stand cases making an object bulkier than it has to be. Plus it is a nice looking phone.

In over ten years I've never dropped a phone.... Till yesterday.

In the midst of carefully removing mine from my pocket while standing in line at the store, I was bumped from behind & my slippery glass iPhone fell to the floor breaking into a zillion glass shards.

Oh well, that's why it's called an accident.

The iPhone 4 leaves no room for error.

Thanks Apple!

Ive been thinking about whether or not i should use a case on my 4S when it comes in Friday. Ive been reading the other threads but none of the cases people posted have convinced me. Anyone have good suggestions on a case or skin...or should i not use a case at all? Input from people who went naked on the 4 would be great too

I can't believe people have to make decisions like this for you. There's people starving and homeless out there.

InCase Slider.

This is one of the best designed cases for the iPhone 4 series I've ever seen. It hardly adds any bulk, yet protects the phone fairly well and makes it a lot more grippable. I've yet to drop mine, but my friend has an iPhone 4 with the Slider and she (klutz! I hope she's not reading or I will be razzed!) has dropped it multiple times without incident.

I can't recommend it enough.

Of course, I'm not sure if there's a slider yet for the iPhone 4s. Have the dimensions and control placements remained the same as on the 4? I know they moved the silence switch slightly on the Verizon model; it'd be neat for someone to describe how the 4S differs from the 4 in this regard.

I've used Incase Sliders since I bought my iPhone 3G, and now with my iPhone 4. I will probably keep using them when I get my iPhone 4S (and to answer your question, 4 and 4S are the same dimensions, so the 4 case will fit the 4S).

As much as I love the look and feel of the naked phone, just 1 drop on a hard surface will likely crack your screen, and as careful as I am with my phone, accidents do happen.

I was like you. First phone I ever broke in my life was the iPhone 4. Funny thing it wasn't even a bad fall. Just direct drop from about 3 feet. Impact was right on the corner.

I'm really undecided... Part of me just wants to go no case again with Seidio holster. Other part says otterbox.

No one ever talks about Switcheasy Colors cases anymore. I always remember them as being some of the nicest form fitting and best value cases out there when I had my 3Gs...

Not only do they give you screen protectors but they also give you port covers to keep the dust out of your earphone jack and 30-pin dock connector :)

I bought an expensive case called AppleCare+.

Naked. If it gets scratched, I don't care (my iPhone 4 has small scratches, nothing crazy like the blackberry pearl of days past). I don't need it to be perfect, I need it to work perfect.

If it gets dropped, AppleCare+ is in effect.

I have to ask....why not just get a transparent film to cover the entire iphone and prevent scratches. Some claim that it will prevent cracks from drops but I have no idea if that claim is true. But with the thin film you have no thick case, and, for the most part, see just the phone. :)

Not the bumper itself per say, but a lot of people say that dust/debris gets in between the bumper and the antenna band and starts scratching it :(

Ah I see. Thanks for the heads up! Have to rethink my case situation now.

You have to differentiate between carrier refurbs and Apple refurbs, the former being not up to the normal Apple standard of refurbishment. That being said, even Apple refurbs are not what they once were in all cases and I was given a clear refurbished phone (5k) once which had a dead microphone from the start (I made a call in the Apple store). I was then given a 61 prefix phone which may or may not have been refurbished (Apple have some new phones as replacements when they run out of refurbished phones on a particular day) and that has been the first essentially perfect phone I have had (the first one had proximity sensor problems).

I went to the Apple store to get my refurb. The first time there was some crazy software/firmware issue that kept flashing a white screen. So I brought it back and the rep said all she had to do was fix it really quick. And I still had problems with it after. Should have demanded an entirely different one.

Used these cases for my iphone 4 and they worked great. You can barely tell its there. There all over ebay just search iphone 4 hard case

Does anyone here own a white iphone 4 and uses a clear Incase snap case?
I would really appreciate some photos and your opinion on it. I would love to get the clear frost snap but nowhere in the UK stocks it!
