Nice, I am planning to buy my first next year, a 12 inch iPad Pro. Hope it includes features such as 3D Touch, True Tone and a optimized iOS for the large screen, accessible file system, even if its integrated with iCloud.

3D Touch won't happen, true tone is likely, optimized large screen iOS is hopeful, and you already have an iCloud filesystem available now.

If they'll discontinue the 7.9" form factor, no more iPads for me!
I am sure Apple wlll be very upset about your lack of iPad purchase... i mean your single purchase measured over the millions of data points that MIGHT be indicating its not worth making the small iPad is all Apple is worried about :rolleyes:o_O:)

That's fair to say but I'm sure he's not alone. If the small ipad is a flop, it's because of apple, not iphones or anything else. When you don't update it, it should be no surprise to see sales fall.

Hopefully this leak is legitimate and Apple will release the 12.9" with thinner bezels and same features as 10.5" AND also I hope they are BOTH announced and released in June.
I love my current iPP, but if Apple introduces a new version with a haptic home button, A10X or A11X processor, and DCI-P3 cinema standard screen... I'm so in.

2018 will the be the year for OLED iPads probably.
Not looking forward to that, too many issues with burn in, low brightness, and pixel life is less reliable than LCD LED still. I think if they can get OLED to have better longer lifespan then maybe it'll be worth it. But until then I have no issue with not having pitch black LED screen. I would rather have reliable and long lasting display tech instead of cool looking but less reliable display tech.

**just my own opinion, but from personal experience and working/dealing with OLED TVs and electronics at BB for over a year I am not impressed with OLED. We have a few too many OLED returns and I get too many complaints about the burn in and lifespan issues.... and their still so expensive.:confused:

Still bummed that it looks like Apple is discontinuing the iPad mini. I really wanted to update my iPad mini 2 with a Pro version. Guess I'll go for the supposed 10.5" bezel-less iPad Pro then. Gonna miss being able to store my iPad in my cargo pants pocket tho. Loved the portability of the mini. Oh well.

If Apple pulls a sneak move and releases an iPad mini Pro next year, I'll probably sell the 10.5" pro and nab it later.

So, we will have this in the Fall?

4-inch iPhone SE
4.7-inch iPhone 7S
5.5-inch iPhone 7S Plus
5.8-inch iPhone 8

9.7-inch iPad Pro / 2017
10.5-inch iPad Pro
12.9-inch Pad Pro

i don't get how the 7s, especially the 7s plus will be worthwhile? whats the point?

Good question. Probably to cater to people who don't want to spend $1,000+ on the iPhone 8. I just don't see the iPhone 8 starting at $649.

So,

iPhone 7S - $649
iPhone 7S Plus - $769
iPhone 8 - $999

Does anyone else notice that there is a lightning port cutout at both the top and bottom? Looks like the cutouts are 2 different sizes as well, maybe one is lightning and one is USB C?

So it will be a big iPhone 7, probably with solid state home button, and available in black. Will probably have 3D Touch. Meh. Not enough for me to upgrade. I'll wait for the bezeless OLED version with virtual home button - probably 2018 :/

The leak is legitimate. I really hope they have the taptic home button and also have 3D Touch, even if it does raise the price. I fear they may include the A10X which will be a shame as the A11 will no doubt outperform it or at least perform at the same level.

iPad....lol. People still use those.

I know right...why would Apple manufacture an iPad? Considering it's the best made tablet on the market and conforms into Apple's ecosystem perfectly. Not to mention, the number of Universities/Colleges, Doctors Offices, Schools, Government agencies, and other businesses all use the iPad one way or the other in my City.

I know, it's hard to believe people still use the iPad.

And that can put to rest the rumors of the 10.5" being fit into the 9.7" frame. Not happening at all.

All new size for the 10.5

Posted this on 9to5mac already... where they had a photo of another case for the 10.5" iPad... with a current 9.7" iPad in it. Before anyone asks... yes... the screen doesn't look AT LOT bigger. But the mockup is still accurately showing 9.7" and 10.5" displays!

Well.. I did a rough mockup based on these cases... and well... it will NOT be bezel-less like AT ALL.

What I did:
Took an image of a current iPad... and scaled it to be 5mm wider and 10mm taller. The cases seem to be bigger by that amount... approximately. One mm more or less won't make much of a difference here... I guess...

Overlayed it with a 4:3 rectangle of 10.5".

As you can see the bezels would be slightly smaller... but not dramatically.

Yep. Not sure why Apple would do this. Trying to find any benefit.

The guy even has two of them himself.
