What is the size (mm) of the Lucide Clear Case? It looks thicker on their website compare what people are describing here.

I’m not sure what the exact measurement is on the thickness (can’t seem to find it anywhere on the website or on the packaging). I will say that the case looks thicker in pictures - in reality it adds very little in thickness to the iPhone. It’s essentially a “barely there case.”

I've written to Caudabe asking if they would consider making a drop test video to give us a little reassurance lol. If not, perhaps one will pop up on youtube soon enough - mobilereviews-eh always does great tests.

This case is the best of the bunch as far as clear case go. Quality feel and great fitment. It is a bit slippery though. I'd also prefer a bigger "lip" on it to protect the screen when/if facedown. Many have contacted Caudabe about this but not sure their response.

If you guys get a response from cadaube about the lip, let us know! The lip is definitely not enough.

Just posted about this on another thread, but I’ve got the Lucid Clear too and it’s definitely a winner. There is a slight lip on mine but it’s not functional. I think I like that better. I’ve been using the Caudabe Sheath in past years and like the case. It had a nice big lip, but now having something with almost no lip reminds me of how nice the feel is. Fingers just glide off the screen. If you’re concerned about drops, just get a screen protector. The glass ones will protect more than a lip would anyway.

They came back to me and said they’re updating the design to have slightly more front lip. Recommend in the meantime to use with a screen protector

So for now I’m using a ringke fusion case until my orzly screen protector arrives, then I’ll try that with the caudabe case until they update the design.

Slightly over 1mm thick, per Caudabe.

It is approximately 1mm. I contacted Caudabe with this query before ordering. Very similar in thickness to the sheath. I love this case so far for it’s aesthetics.

It would be nice if others in this thread post pics of their screen protectors used with this case. I will do so with the orzly on Tuesday when I receive mine.

I have an orzly on order too, so will be interested in seeing pics as mine won’t arrive until later this week. Want an edge to edge to go with this case so fingers crossed.

When they update the design can we get a replacement?

Also would like to know this. Did they mention anything about early adopters qualifying for replacements?

We should ask them for a gel type sides for more grip. Then I’d be all in. They would have a winner on their hands

The gel cases are the ones that get all yellow after a little usage. One of the biggest reasons I love this case is because it's NOT a gel case.

By the way, folks, I cannot recommend the Belkin glass screen protector enough at the Apple store. Get it there and they'll do the installation for you. Paired with my Lucid Clear, I'm vey happy with the aesthetics and with the protection. Yes, the Belkin does leave little gaps, around the edges, but I've had horrible experiences with the screen protectors that go all the way to the edge.

Just got my Lucid clear case and have to say I am very impressed. It's the best clear case I have owned. I would definitely recommend getting a glass screen protector as the lip is very small. The upside of this however is that swiping up from the bottom is effortless and there is no thick lip in the way.

I have just ordered the sheath case in Navy as well as I am impressed with the quality of the Caudabe case plus the 35% discount at the weekend has helped!

Very good case overall. The silver looks really nice in it. I do have some negative feedback though:

1. The case has already scratched my stainless steel bands (not sure if this is avoidable anyway)
2. The lip (which as others have stated is not much of a lip), is somewhat edgy, and discomforts my ear when I use the phone to talk
3. Slippery (coming from a user whos used to using leather cases for the last 2+ years.

Great case, ordered one the day of pre-sale and received in two days. Barely noticeable and it’s hard to tell whether or not there’s much of a lip if any really but I’m not too worried about it. I would imagine it’s less noticeable on a silver model but on SG, it is a fingerprint magnet. As other have said, it is pretty slippery which some might not mind. Cut outs are clean and allow easy access. There seems to be quite a bit of room around the camera cutout but this might be to avoid any halo effect with the flash. For my taste, a matte black version of this case would be perfect.

For sure slippery. Definitely will need to get a screen protector. I see myself dropping the phone...

I’m not a fan of screen protectors that show an edge. Can you guys discuss the pros and cons of ones that have an obvious edge and ones that don’t?

A lot of people on here are saying their belkin already cracked and the reviews on Apple are 1*
